I bought this to introduce my kitten to my older cat. They were both jumping the pet gate but this worked perfectly. They could see and smell each other but still kept the kitten in her “base camp” like the research said. It was easy to put up and strong. They both tried to climb it and couldn’t and both tried to dig and run into it. The first week I left the kitten in the screened room while I went to work. I’m planning to keep it up because “base camp” is actually the spare bedroom where my exercise bike it. So now they can watch me and I can ride without them running under the pedals. This works wonderfully! I already have two rescue pets. One dog that has been with us for 8 years and a cat that has been with us for 15 years. Recently I was adopted by a stray/feral 4-month-old kitten, and I accepted her into our home. Once she had her vet visit and no longer had to be quarantined, I needed something to keep her safe while the others adjust to their new little sister. This is exactly what I was looking for. I cleaned the door frame prior to putting it up using an ammonia-based spray cleaner. For the adhesive strips, I cut them into sections instead of long lines so I could more easily control the flow when sticking it on to the frame. Putting it up took me all of maybe 20 minutes and I did it by myself. (I'm 5'2) I have a little OCD honestly, so if you don't have that, it may not take as long. The adhesive tape is extremely strong! I didn't have to use any of the tacks for it to be secure. The kitten will climb it all the way to the top sometimes when she sees me coming and it hasn't budged at all. She only weighs around 4lbs right now, so as she gets a little bigger if it is still needed, I will see if the tacks become necessary. The screen is also extremely durable since it has held up to her claws when she does climb. There have been no snags or tears at all. The zipper runs smoothly and seems very durable as well. I was concerned at first if the zipper would end up giving out, but I feel very confident in it at this point after so much use. The only thing is, watch the tape backing as you're pulling it away. It happened a few times that I would be in a rhythm with adhering it to the frame and realize that not all of the backing was coming off. A few times it would partially tear away leaving thin strips of the backing still on. Since I had cut the adhesive tape in sections and was going slowly, I was able to lift it back up a little and remove the strips of the backing. I bought this screen when I adopted a new cat who is blind. She needed some time to get to know the house, so I used this screen to keep her from coming out into the living room and kitchen, and exploring one room at a time. The screen is stable, but mainly because it comes with thumbtacks to pin into the wall. The adhesive is not very good, and does not stay on but the thumbtacks do help. However, even the thumbtacks have a hard time staying in some spots and I have to keep pushing them back into the wall which now looks like Swiss cheese from all the holes. It’s aesthetically pleasing for being a random screen that blocks a door. I bought it in white because my entire apartment is painted white and my furniture is white and it blends right in. The zipper is becoming stuck a little bit, but I manage. There are no holes in the screen and no damage so far, even though sometimes my cat claws at it. Overall, it serves its purpose. I wouldn’t recommend it for a long-term, unless you take some nails and hammer it into the wall and are very careful with the zipper. ... show more

This was easy to put up and it's very sturdy. We have 2 cats and they cannot get under it or beside it to get out to the balcony. It's a godsend to have our balcony door open to let fresh air in during decent weather. No bugs have gotten in from this either. Wonderful screen!

We got this because of our 7 month old kitten we put up our Christmas tree last Friday and she chewed some of the wires and wouldn’t stop. I ordered two due to how our home is set up there is 2 different door ways to the room that has the tree. So far I have to say that she has not go into the room while at work they seem pretty heavy duty. Also the velcro sticks really well nice and strong. And applying it to the door way was easy! And fits perfectly! I would just advise if getting this to keep cats out of a room etc. keep zippers at the top they loveeeeee to play with zippers. My cat has claws and she has yet to try and climb them so going in the right direction! ... show more

This screen has been an absolute lifesaver. 1st: thank you for pricing this so ordinary people can afford it! 2nd: My cat was recently diagnosed with diabetes and part of that diagnosis is an intense and ravenous hunger and thirst on his part until we get things under control with the vet. But my previously well-behaved cat was trying to get into anything and everything to satisfy his hunger and thirst. I tried all sorts of things to keep him safe and try to prevent him from getting into things that would actually cause further health issues. However, every child gate I put up and every sink cover I used he would either defeat or track litter paws that were wet because he got into the dogs water and then went into his litter box. I was constantly bleaching surfaces to keep my families health safe. I didn’t want to just close a door and isolate him away in a single room. I looked at taller gates that ran in the neighborhood of $200+ and then I found your product. It works absolutely great.!!! We can easily come in and out of this room, even his dog siblings easily can visit. Also because it’s a screen even when we’re not directly with him he can see activity and still feel part of the family. The dogs can come and visit and he can see what’s going on. I have had him try to climb out of it I have had the dogs try to paw to get into it But the Velcro provided holds it in place and the zipper is very sturdy. I really do credit this with the cat starting to get under his diabetes under control. We have been able to keep him out of danger, but still keep him part of the family. Thank you! ... show more
