I have an old gas fireplace and the lighter in it is the original from decades ago and although it still works, I wanted to get a new one to replace it. I am very happy with the quality of this lighter. As most products seem to have declined in quality compared to products past, I’m happy to see a product that has become even better! This gas lighter is made from solid and durable cast iron so it will last many years. It only took me a few minutes to hook up, just screw the gas line into the 1/2 threaded female hole on either side. It comes with two 1/2 male plugs made from 304 stainless steel to plug it on the side that’s not hooked up and an extra. It’s medium sized so it fits basically every gas fireplace and it’s very easy to use so anyone can replace it and make it work. It works great and has 10 small outlets on one side where the flames come out. The flames flow easily from it and set my firewood alight quickly. It works great with my adjustable gas line and is a great deal for the price as it will last many years to come.

This is a solid and heavy bit of cast iron with thick walls. The machined threads are cut well without burrs. The feet are nice and wide, though if this is hard-piped in that isn't really as important. There is a little lip that sticks out past the orifices, presumably to keep ash and soot from falling into them and clogging it. They send 2 plugs for some reason. There's not much to describe here. Its a pretty basic thing. But its built solid and should last for the rest of your life.

I haven’t installed this yet, but the first impression is excellent. It’s solid, heavy cast iron with a durable finish and well-machined gas ports. The included fittings, screws, and Teflon tape make it look like a complete kit ready for an easy setup. Even before installation, it feels much sturdier than the thin steel pipes many fireplaces come with. Based on build quality alone, this looks like a long-lasting upgrade for a natural-gas fireplace. Pros: Heavy cast-iron construction Comes with all installation parts Feels durable and well-made Cons: Haven’t tested ignition performance yet - will update soon

This thing is built like it means business, heavy cast iron and it feels like something that’ll last way longer than the cheap steel pipe my fireplace originally came with. Setup was pretty straightforward. Just note that while it comes with plugs and tape, you’ll still need your own connector to hook it up to the gas line if you don't already have one. Once installed, you have instant flames. No more crumpled newspaper, no more messing around with matches, just turn the key and the fire’s going. I also like that the design keeps ash from clogging the ports. Little detail, but it matters when you actually use your fireplace.

Heavy duty cast iron burner, fits 1/2 fittings on both ends, box comes with two 1/2” plugs but no connectors for gas, you’ll have to have your own make 1/2” connector to fit the female 1/2” npt threads on the burner. Cast iron construction should make this a dutiable long lasting burner, installation is easy and it’s a good value for the price point. Functions exactly as you would expect it to, you may want a metering device to control flame height.

We got this to replace the burner in our fireplace that was starting to corrode in some parts, causing uneven flames.. Removing the old one was a beast of a task, but once it was off, installing this was a piece of cake. Looks great and functions perfectly.
