I used this product to repair the liner on a Summer Waves quick set 15' x 36" above ground swimming pool. I did the repair with the pool drained and the surface dry. I repaired 2 small holes (less than a quarter inch each). I used the Jed Pools Tools Super Patch for Vinyl Pools Blue. The holes were within about an inch of the side of the pool. I cleaned the surfaces to be repaired, cut 2 4" round pieces of the repair liner, and one by one covered the back of each piece, and pressed it into place. I tried to hold it there for about 20 seconds. I found a half hour or so later that some of the edges looked like they might peel. So, i tool more of the vinyl adhesive and went around the outside of each patch to better adhere the edges. So far it has held for 3 days, shows no sign of peeling, and I am ecstatic! I will come back and modify this review in a week or two after I see how it lasts. All looks good so far though. ... show more

    • Successfully patched a 2 inch hole in the deep end of my pool

The wind lifted our trampoline and blew it over the fence into the deep end of our inground pool. One of the legs from the trampoline disconnected and fell like a torpedo and cut a 2 inch hole when it hit the liner in the pool. I had some of the original pool liner material stored away for just such an occasion and I figured I’d give it a try. I cut an 8 inch patch as round as I could so that it had no sharp edges. I covered it with adhesive and folded it in half, I then dove into the pool with goggles on ready to go. This adhesive worked perfectly. It’s amazing how much my pool liner has faded over the years. I bought this because it was supposed to work under water. My pool's solar cover is coming apart at the seam. So I put this glue top and bottom of the seam overlap. Put some bar magnets after lining the seam back up to keep pressure on it for 24 hours. It held for about a week before the seam came apart again. ... show more

    • Very Good Product
Used to patch some holes in my inground liner. Worked great underwater and found it much easier to use and much better adhesion than the HC-66 product. Applied to spare vinyl liner I had, folded in half and went under to apply. It gives you about 30 seconds to move around and adjust location and then starts adhering. Checked after 24 hours and patches adhered perfectly with no loose edges. ... show more

Was recommended to me by a pool repair diver, this adhesive works like below the surface line on vynil liners meaning you can patch something directly under water, apply to the patch, dive and stick it on
