I use it for my 10gallon and it works really well. I originally got it to supplement my other airstone, but it seems over 3x stronger and quieter on the lowest setting so I just got rid of the other one. The main sound's from the bubbles. It took under a minute to setup, you just plug it in, and the aeration strength is a dial so it's easy to use. Cons: It has 2 air holes but only comes with 1 tube. The tube's really long so you can cut it in half if you have the aerator mounted on your aquarium and don'y need it to be long, but it'd be nice if it'd just come with a 2nd one to begin with. ... show more

So far, this bubbler has been pretty nice. I have mine on the lowest setting, and the hum of the machine is pretty quiet if you put it on a blanket. It is definitely noticable if you are paying attention but I wouldn't say it's unpleasant. It produces a lot of bubbles! The tube and the cord length are plenty for where my tank is located. So far it seems durable. I had no trouble putting it together. The weight of the airstone is enough to ensure that it won't float. My little buddy is very curious about it, he is resting on a piece of driftwood watching the bubbles! I gave it 4 stars because it can get pretty loud if you don't have a blanket to dampen the noise or if you have it on a higher setting. The tube isn't unnoticeable either...
