  • Quiet, Powerful, and Actually Handles Two Lines Well
Style: 10-100 Gallon
I’ve used a few different air pumps over the years, and this has been one of the better ones. I specifically wanted a dual-outlet pump so I could run two air lines without needing another pump or a bunch of extra equipment. The airflow is strong and, more importantly, consistent. Both outlets provide plenty of air, and being able to adjust the output makes it easy to dial things in instead of having your tank look like a jacuzzi. Noise is always my biggest concern with aquarium pumps. This one isn’t completely silent, but it’s quiet enough that I don’t really notice it during normal use. Tip: if yours seems louder than expected, make sure the pump isn’t touching the aquarium, wall, or anything else that can amplify the vibration. Putting it on a small rubber or foam pad can make a noticeable difference. Compact, easy to set up, good airflow, and two independently useful outlets. For the price, I’ve been very happy with it. ... show more

  • Ultra Quiet
Style: 10-100 Gallon
This air pump is very very quiet. I bought it for a 10 gallon tank. It has two air openings (twin outlet) It is very powerful but still very very quiet. It comes with plenty of tubing and two air stones, two check valves, a T bar and a dual bar (connectors) if you need them. I love the multi- speed control of air with just a turn of the knob. I bought it for a hygger Fine Mist air strip . I like the air strips better than the smaller stones. I can have a fine mist or what seems like tons of bubbles with the turn of the knob. If you are not happy with the amount of bubbles, it's not because of this pump, but the quality or type of air stone being used but always remember for all air stones, you get the best results when you follow instructions, because air stones should be soaked in the water for an hour before even turning the air on to them. I have seen 30 -45 minute wait times too. At the minimum wait 30 minutes. Also air stones depending on the type need to be cleaned or replaced every so often, so read the instructions on the type you buy. I would buy this pump again for other tanks . ... show more

  • Don't understand the negative reviews - update, kinda understand the negative reviews
Style: 10-100 Gallon
Update, I've had this now for a about 3 weeks. It has gotten louder & pushes less air than when it first arrived. It's fine for my air stone, though not pushing as much air there as it was originally either. But isn't pushing nearly as much water through my sponge filter as it was a couple of weeks ago. When I first got it, I only had the dial set about half way up. Now it's all the way up & still not moving as much water. I am going to rinse the ceramic filter media & shake it around a bit & see if that helps. I'll update again if it does but I'm not super hopeful. It isn't a ton louder, but enough to be noticeable & it hasn't been long. I'm going to build a little noise box for it & I'm sure that will eliminate the sound but I'm bummed to have to go through that effort. The change in noise doesn't upset me that much. It makes sense that it won't be forever "freshly oiled quiet". It's the apparent change in air pressure that's concerning me. This air pump is powering two of the most important things in my tank to keep it livable for my fish. The air stone (I'm not using the included air stone but one I had previous) & the filter. If this pump fails, my fish are in trouble. I am removing one star for the faltering power. I will say though that some of the reviews mentioned the hose attachment points breaking off with light handling. I tried switching my hoses around to see if anything was loose & connect the shorter of my two hoses to the filter hoping the lesser distance to travel would make a difference. I held my breath when I did it, terrified that it might snap off on me & leave me with a completely unusable pump. I am happy to report that didn't happen. I was able to remove the well stuck-on hoses & reattach them without anything breaking. I was careful to pull straight back when I did it. --------- Seems like every pump I looked at here had split reviews. This was no exception & it made me nervous. Why were some people saying it was nearly silent & pumped air beautifully & some were saying it was horribly loud &/or didn't pump enough air for even the tiny air stones it comes with? I still don't have the answer to that question, unless some are getting defective pumps. What I can say is that the pump I received is everything I hoped it would be. Our old pump was loud from the time we got it & got louder after we'd had it a while. Had ended up wrapping a rubber band around it, which seemed to have better secured the housing & stopped some level of vibration, but it was still noisy & annoying. We learned to live with it. I made the decision to switch from a carbon filter to a sponge filter. I have hard water & even though I'm now using half bottled water, the PH is still too high. I'm using Catappa leaves (indian almond leaves) for the tannins in an effort to bring the PH down to a friendlier level. However, a carbon filter will remove the tannins and any beneficial affect they might be having. A sponge filter will clean the water without removing the tannins, but that meant I needed a second air pump. Just got it today & set it up & while the filter will take time to be effective, I'm already over the moon at the decision. There is no more constant, loud drone. I had decided that if I had to I would build a foam box to house the air pump & cut the noise (I have packing foam left over from a computer. The dense black kind with large points, perfect for absorbing sound) but I'm pleased to be able to say it is completely unnecessary with this air pump. I removed our old pump, connected this to both our long air stone & the sponge filter (I bought this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RJP2XB5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and I am so impressed! I set the dial to medium and even at that setting the air stone is pumping out easily 2-3x the bubbles it was before. The filter is flowing beautifully. And the whole set up is nearly silent!!! Everything arrived in perfect condition. All the necessary accessories, though I have no need for the spliter or the additional air stones, the check valves were a nice inclusion. I really couldn't be happier with an air pump. I don't know if some people got defective pumps or they didn't set them up correctly somehow (though I'm not sure how you can screw this up). I'm thrilled! It's so quiet I'm genuinely thinking I eventually want a second fish tank in my bedroom. Just to be clear because I know when the reviews are split like this - half great, half horrible - it brings up questions. I paid full price for this air pump, I was not solicited to review it in any way. ... show more

  • Quiet pump that is good for ten gallon tank
Style: 10-100 Gallon
Quietest pump I have ever owned. Have attached to under gravel filter in ten gallon tank. Pump is almost set on maximum to actually get any airflow. Would not recommend for anything bigger.

  • Gave out within a month
Style: 10-100 Gallon
I’ve had this for only a month, hooked a sponge filter and airstone to it. The airstone side continued to work perfectly, but the side with the sponge filter gave out and no longer blows any air. Outside of that, it worked great, wasnt too loud, and the filter was able to create a noticeable difference in the water quality so I’d say it works well. Probably just cant handle anything besides the airstones it comes with. I also ordered the one suitable for 10-100gallons, seeing as i have a 60 gallon tank. ... show more

  • Very quiet and potent!!!
Style: 10-100 Gallon
Extremely quiet!!!!!! Even on high pump is barely noticeable!!! Great airflow for what I needed. It is nice that it’s small and you can adjust intensity of the airflow, I really liked it. The tube is good enough for connecting both pumps. Mounting was sorta easy although it comes without instructions. Good value for the price. Recommended!!! ... show more
