Bought this for my elderly aunt who was told by her doctor to get an elliptical to strengthen and exercise her legs, as she is unsteady on her feet. She was going to purchase one off the shopping network for $200. I suggested we try this first. Very glad we did. I can't compare it to the other item obviously, but I can't see that it would do a better job and offer more options than this does. You can pedal manually or with the motorized options. It runs basically silently. Very impressed by that. (see video) It offers 12 speeds (also shown in video) , and you can reverse the direction to work other muscles. It weighs a little over 10 lbs. So, for someone who has trouble lifting or moving heavy objects this might pose a potential problem. She was a little unsure at first but has found it to be no problem. It also comes with a rubberized waffle mat for traction, which is a nice touch, although we had no issues with it moving on a carpeted floor. It has many rubberized feet on the bottom which help keep it in place. Seems well made and fairly easy to operate. The remote is pretty straightforward and easy to operate as well. The display is a bright red and easy to read. All in all, I'd say this is a great value for the price! There is a slight learning curve in the motion of it and getting your feet to jive with the pedals. Not a knock on the item, just something to look out for. Hope you find this helpful! ... show more

The foot pads were easy to attach. (I’m a 79 year old woman). Makes no noise. Even after my first 15 minutes, I could feel my calves and thighs working along with my hip joints. Perfect when it’s too hot for a walk. I’m very pleased!

This is a good under the desk elliptical for the price. Easy to assemble and fits well under my desk where I can move my feet and legs while stuck at my desk for long periods of time. I don't have room for a raising desk or walking pad so this is a good alternative.
