Update: Elliptical seems to function quite well, and the longer I have it, the more I appreciate the benefits. 1. Ease of use, I can be seated in my chair and multi-tasking while using it. 2. Controls and remote are quite nice and straightforward, after one or two uses I became very comfortable with the controls. I also like the number of programs and manual controls. 3. Extremely quiet and smooth operation, very little noise and it operates excellently. 4. I had mistakenly incorrectly understood the return process and customer service promptly reached out to me and satisfied my questions and concerns. I was very impressed by this! 5. Finally, I find that I look forward to using this elliptical and actually enjoy using it.

Highly recommend!

It works great! It's only weighs about ten pounds to pick it up, doesnt require any assembly except to plug it in, the motor is nice and quiet, and it pedals smoothly. I am a very sedentary person and disabled so walking isn't something I can easily do anymore so my muscles have atrophied. This elliptical has been helping tremendously with circulation and my short distance walking. I notice after I use it that I can even stand up straighter. The remote works very well, requiring AAA batteries (not included). It's well worth the money and i love that it works and I didn't need to spend $400 on it like the more expensive ones cost. I highly recommend this product!

Passive exercise without resistance
Color: Off-White
The UMAY under desk elliptical leg exerciser works like it’s supposed to. Here’s a few notes: 1. It doesn’t have any resistance settings. You can adjust the speed, you can adjust the direction, and you can adjust the time (or just turn it off when you’re finished). But the motor does all the work for you. It doesn’t get harder at the higher settings – you just go faster. I find it’s a very passive experience. 2. When I unboxed the device, I tried to use it without the remote control. That way involves a lot of bending to see the display. The words are hard to make out, and one’s back gets tired quickly. You need that remote control! Note that once you turn on the power switch, you can turn the device on and off using a button on the remote control. The instructions don’t mention this fact. 3. The device comes with Velcro straps that you can slide onto the pedals if your feet tend to slight off. I have mobility issues with my right foot and found it rather hard to get my right foot positioned adequately in the Velcro strap, but I managed finally. Fortunately, the default loop size of the Velcro strap works nicely for the size of my foot — I didn’t have to make the loop hole bigger or smaller to fit my foot in and keep it on the pedal. By the way, the instructions don’t discuss using the Velcro straps. Using them is pretty easy and commonsensical, but it would’ve been nice if the instructions had mentioned them as an option. 4. The device also comes with a floor gripper. I didn’t have trouble with stability, but the floor gripper is a good option. The instructions didn’t discuss this accessory either. In summary regarding the instructions: if the instructions do show you how to use the various features of the product, but they’re quite minimal in some ways. So far, I’ve used the device three times. Without Shoes and without the Velcro strap, my right foot tended to move and bump somewhat painfully into the side of the pedal. With the Velcro strap, it was better. With shoes on, I didn’t need the Velcro strap. During use, I could feel my ankle and foot being exercised a little — i’m sure it’s pretty good for blood flow inside my feet (I have chronic venous insufficiency). But I don’t really feel like I had any kind of cardiovascular benefit, and I don’t even know if my calf muscles were exercising that much; the motor does all the work for you. I think this device is pretty good for what it says it supposed to do, and it sounds like other customers are getting good benefit from it. Myself, I need resistance settings, and a more active mode of exercising my leg muscles, not to mention cardiovascular exercise! I think I’m going to try to return this device and get a different kind of exerciser.

This is a great product. I’ve had a broke foot and a foot with all ligaments overstretched. The orthopedic doctor recommended this type of machine for exercising my ankles, and it has worked great very pleased with the product.

This Elliptical states that it’s good for seniors, but we found that it was much too complicated for my mother who is 92 but wanting to exercise daily. The machine is probably fine for younger buyers. I would not recommend this seller, however. The return process was terrible. After initiating the return, I received a note from the seller that they would be sending return instructions. Several DAYS later, I received return instructions that included strict instructions to seal the item exactly as sent in the same box and use a certain color tape to seal the box, take pictures of the sealed box and label, and then take the box to Fed Ex within LESS THAN 24 hours time. After doing these things exactly, I contacted the seller to let them know that the return was mailed, and uploaded the requested photos as well as a copy of the receipt from Fed Ex. Still the seller refused to issue a refund until the item was received. I’ve never had such a long and complicated return as this one in my many years of buying through Amazon sellers. This elliptical may be a good one for your needs, but I would not recommend this seller based on this experience.
