I tried to email Umay about this, but was told by return email that they didn’t sell a product like this and couldn’t provide assistance. Ok so it works but not perfectly. If using under my desk I find it a little uncomfortable to use. My parties has to be weird to avoid hitting my knees on the desk while in motion. Also because I’m in that weird position the motion isn’t smooth. It kind of skips a beat every few seconds. Like a small jolting motion. If I use it while sitting on the couch it’s doesn’t happen as often. Ideally this could be great. But I think it depends on your seating, how long your legs are, and how much room you have to move your knees around.

I recently purchased the MAY Fitness Under Desk Elliptical Trainer and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. This mini elliptical trainer is perfect for getting in a workout while sitting at my desk or watching TV. I love that it has 12 levels of magnetic resistance, allowing me to customize my workout intensity. The option to switch between manual and electric mode is a great feature as well. This under-desk elliptical trainer comes with a bit of peripherals: a remote, non-slip mat that works on any type of surface, and a pair of resistance bands that secure onto the machine via steel carabiner. It utilizes hard roller wheels that come in modern office chairs to actuate the pedals that offer silent and smooth operation. Manual recommends that you keep this surface clean and lubricated at times to maintain optimal operating conditions. The trainer comes in two modes: the manual mode's basically what one would expect, your legs do the work to rotate the pedals. But you can't adjust resistance this way and there are cheaper and better pedal exercisers that are geared towards "under the desk" market. Powered mode can be started via built-in buttons or conveniently through a remote which is how I prefer to use it. It requires two AAA batteries that are unfortunately not included. At any rate, you'll soon be pedaling away at the pleasure of sitting down on your workstation or on the sofa watching TV or even reading a book. I found that it's not really a cardio machine as the machine is doing the pedaling but my legs start to feel it after about 5 minutes so I think that it does provide enough motion to provide a lower body workout to the user. The machine is very quiet unless you get above level 6 but I found that it starts to get quite speedy starting from level 3. I doubt you'll really need to go above 4 while working at your desk but you do you. To close, I think this elliptical trainer provides surprising level of lower body workout for a device meant to be used under a desk while seated to a chair. In fact, I like it enough to recommend highly to others. That said, I did deduct a point as I feel that the actuating parts that move the pedal could've been covered in some way to make it more safer and less resistant to dust or any others that might come to interfere with the proper operation of the device in question. It is meant to be placed under a desk after all. I mean what if one of the pedals snag on an electric cord and turns off an entire cubicle? Explaining data loss to the boss because I wanted to shave off a couple of pounds doesn't seem like a fun meeting at all. Obviously, pay your due diligence to make sure that the area is safe for operating a moving device.

I sit at a desk 45+ hours a week for work and got this to keep my legs from slowly dying away. Despite the funny looks from coworkers, this is awesome! It is well made and functions perfectly. Really helps my legs and lower back feel better at the end of the day. Recommend!
