I’ve been really happy with the Skywave X40. The first thing that stood out to me was the design. It looks and feels premium, with really nice aesthetics, and the wireless setup keeps everything looking clean without a mess of cords. Setup was extremely easy. I’m using HDMI eARC, and it has worked great with both my Apple TV and PS5 with no connection issues. The wireless speakers were genuinely plug-and-play and started working immediately. The sound quality has been excellent. Dialogue, music, and bass all sound great, and the surround effects are very noticeable. You can actually hear the separation and direction of sounds around the room, including noticeable height effects. The bass is also excellent and fills the roughly 300 sq. ft. portion of our open floor plan where we use the system. One thing I’ve noticed is that different shows can occasionally sound better with different sound modes. Sometimes dialogue or the surround balance won’t sound quite right at first, but switching modes has always solved it. The app makes changing modes very easy and has worked great overall. My only minor complaint is the initial firmware update process. The updates can take a while when you’re first setting everything up, but once they finish, everything works well. I initially thought the price was a little steep. We specifically wanted something wireless to avoid running cords around the room, which narrowed our options. After using it, though, I can see where the money went. Between the sound quality, surround performance, wireless convenience, app, build quality, and ease of setup, it feels like a great value for the price. Overall, I’m very happy with it. Five stars.

Right out of the box, installation is Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy to set up. Literally ALL you have to do is set up your speakers where you want to place them. For example, The rear speakers in both the right and left rear locations, the sound bar where you want to place it and the subwoofer as well. I used the PROVIDED HDMI e-ARC cable and simply plugged it in to the back of my TV and into the marked HDMI e-ARC input on the back of the sound bar. It also comes with the needed HDMI cable and an optical cable depending on how you choose to set your system up. Once I plugged everything into a power source, the ENTIRE fleet of speakers began to take over my TV's sound! And it has power behind it for sure! Wall mounts (and ALL of the hardware needed are also included for easy mounting if you choose to do so, or the sound bar can simply be sat on top of your TV stand, which was my preferred method. The system comes with a remote control that you can use for every function, power level, pairing speakers, settings, etc. On of the best aspects of the Ultimea Skywave X40 is the App you can download onto any iOS or Android device. This take the system to another level up! It has settings already installed for different entertainment scenarios such as news, cinema, sports, etc. If that wasn't enough, it gets better! In the app on your iOS or Android device you can set the bass, mid range, treble, highs, in any configuration that you like, then give those settings a name i.e. "Cinema" and save it into your app. You can do this multiple times for your selected settings for different TV programs. The blue tooth has been highly reliable, and even if one of the speakers somehow became "unpaired" from the system. Getting it back online is as easy as holding down the pairing button on the speaker for 5 seconds. The cost of this system is very affordable for the quality of the system overall that it produces. The ease of setup (Basically plug and go), and the app that connects from your device to the system which you can set your own preferred sound setting is definitely more value for the money this system costs!

This is absolutely a premium brand you have never heard of. This is the highest quality. All the way down to the packaging. It felt like I was opening a $2000 sound system. Amazing sound quality. Amazing features. Dolby Atmos compatible with TWO upfiring speakers. Super smart and easy to set up. Integrated seamlessly with my Samsung OLED TV and Chromecast. Couldn't find the remote? No big deal. Use the app as your remote. The woofer shakes my house. And even the small design of having the rear speakers have separate power sources so I don't have to run a wire between them is great. ZERO latency or issues with the system communicating to all the speakers wirelessly. I did A LOT of shopping before I bought this, and you can't find the same hardware, power and components in a name brand like LG or Sony or whatever. And trust me I looked. Unless you live in a mansion with a 900sqft living room, this thing will absolutely rock the dust right out of the ceiling. Stop shopping and buy this. Period.

First of all.. This type of system is not going to replace a standalone receiver with a 10" sub and speaker components. I use such a system in our theater room and it sounds much better than this but it cost 4x as much and involved hours of wiring and mounting. THIS, on the other hand, is muuuuch better than TV speakers and was sooo easy to hook up and get going. Everything beyond the main speaker is wireless in terms of sound delivery (you still need power run to each component). It is so great for a living room type situation.. The bass isnt going to shake the house but it certainly adds a missing layer. The surround sound feels gimmicky like its just stereo and the volume is adjusted. However, again, this blows TV speakers out of the water. I watched a dolby atmos video on YouTube and it sounded fantastic but that type of separation hasn't been noticed in any other content I've watched. The dialogue is always nice and clear (which is sometimes an issue with these types of things in my experience). It worked seemlessly with my fire tv remotes after zero configuration. After unboxing it took all of 5 minutes to set up. truly plug and play.. sounds better than a similar but smaller and slightly cheaper, visio system I have. If your expectations are right you'll be highly satisfied with this product. It's not going to effectively replace a true surround system but that is not it's purpose. It's an intermediary with a small footprint that you can easily blend into a living/bed room aesthetic and greatly improve your viewing experience, assuming you were using TV speakers. I had never used or heard of this brand but it does well. Seems well made. As others have said the packaging is high end. I watched the fed ex dude body slam it onto my front porch but all was well.

This system really exceeded my expectations. Setup was quick and easy thanks to clear instructions and even a video guide—which I especially appreciated since I don’t always feel like reading manuals. I was skeptical about the small speakers, but once everything was connected, the full surround experience was amazing. What impressed me most was that everything came pre-paired from the factory. All I had to do was assemble the sound bar, connect it to the TV, and plug everything into the outlets. The remote is simple yet includes all the functions you need, and the system automatically powers on and off with the TV—no juggling multiple remotes. On top of that, the company provides a phone app for extra control. The Bluetooth connection to my phone works flawlessly, making it easy to stream music as well. I initially didn’t expect much, but I needed an affordable wireless home theater and decided to give this one a try. I’m glad I did—it delivers excellent surround sound, a great price, and none of the hassle of running wires. I haven’t noticed any audio delays, and so far the performance is on par with wired systems. Overall, I’m extremely happy with this purchase and highly recommend it.

What can I say other than WOW. I am BEYOND impressed with the X40. I've had multiple "surround" systems over the years, I'm talking big name companies, and each of them have required lots of EQ tuning. Not the X40. Set-up is as simple as pulling this thing out of the box, which is probably the best packaging I've ever seen for sound equipment, and plugging the speakers in. For me, this was wall mounting it below the TV for the complete wireless aesthetic, and mounting the rear speakers on the wall behind my couch. Can't forget the woofer, which I just placed off to the side, adjacent the couch. The black with gold trim looks premium, which matches the feel of the devices as well. I'm serious, this thing truly is plug and play! If you're anti-app, the remote control that comes with it can do everything you want it to do. From controlling the Surround volume, Up-Firing volume, Up-mix (creates a surround effect for non surround content), Bass level, EQ presets, everything. I'm an app person, so I downloaded the Ultimea app for control, which has great functionality, unlike many of the other apps I've used with sound equipment. If you're new to home theater equipment / sound bars, a bit of advice would be taking advantage of the HDMI EARC port on the soundbar. It's far superior to the optical port, and makes for seamless control with your TV, utilizing CEC (1 remote controls both TV and soundbar). Most TV's have a dedicated HDMI port for EARC (audio passthrough for speakers), and it's normally HDMI 3, but this can vary, so check your TV. It's normally labeled at the port. Once you've plugged in there, you may have to go into your TV's settings menu and enable EARC, but after that, it's smooth sailing! I would absolutely recommend the X40 to anyone wanting to upgrade their set-up. If you want your room to feel like a theater, you cannot beat this for the price. At less than $500, the X40 has no competitor. I mean you're getting true Dolby Atmos for that price! And if you haven't experienced Atmos before, you have no clue what you're missing...

Great surround soundbar, the up firing speakers are great for movies and sports....has decent bass, definitely can hear and feel it. I gave the system 4 stars, because I was the bass was a little more dramatic, but for the price the bass is great. Ser up is a breeze, plug it in and that's it, set up is done. Adding the rear blue tooth speakers is a breeze, just plug them in and set up is done....each speaker has its own volume so it makes adjustments a breeze. I used the eARC hdmi so my tv remote controls the power and sound level, the system remote is used for fine adjustments and equalizer options....definely recommend if you're thinking about it

Installed in my pool cabana. Exceeded all expectations. Very happy with the quality of this soundbar with wireless sub and wireless surround speakers. Packaging was extremely well done and arrived on time with no defects. Installation took only a few minutes. I literally had it up and running in 5 minutes. The app is very intuitive and provides additional controls including BT. Sound: terrific bass response. Up-firing Atmos speakers work well if the room has an appropriate ceiling to allow for sound redirection. Surround speakers also provide good balance but could improve slightly at lower frequencies. The left and right front speakers on the sound bar itself don’t quite have the spread of a separate system but this is a soundbar so that is to be expected. Center channel speaker provides clear dialogue without any adjustments to audio delay. It perfect right out of the box. Sound parameters can be tweaked with the app’s graphical EQ but the app does lack some precision to make more precise changes. The app also has auto settings for music, movie, etc… but the standard Music setting was not subjectively optimized so I did tweak it to meet my preferences. Overall the X 40 was a superb value and I am completely satisfied with my purchase. So much so that I have recommended it to my friends who were also impressed with the sound quality and functionality. Thank you to the team at Ultimea. I will be purchasing more of your equipment.
