Style: Small Rabbit Hutch
This is a nice hutch. It was easy to put together but has a lot of screws so it took a while. But my rabbit loves it. She likes sleeping upstairs to keep warm but downstairs where air circulates through the wires to keep cool. She loves running up and down the ramp over and over. There is no bottom but my husband bought a huge tray that is for the bottom of a dog crate and it works great since she lives in the house. I can open the door to the bottom and let her come out when she wants and when she's done chasing the cat she goes back in the hutch to rest and I close the door, she's very happy and so are we. Almost a year later and I’m having to buy a new hutch. Butterscotch chewed the sides off the top floor, ripped the ramp out of the screws and destroyed the divider on the top floor. I screwed the ramp back in but she continued to chew the sides of the top floor and yesterday it collapsed. She no longer has access to the top of the hutch as the only thing she didn’t destroy was the metal floor. She was always fed up top and now we had to move her water, pellets and salad to the bottom and she’s not happy, even though she caused it! She had lots and lots of different chew toys and was out of the hutch in the evenings to run around so it wasn’t for lack of anything. Don’t know what I’m going to do if she destroys another hutch so looking for another brand with less wood to chew on the top floor. ... show more

  • Way too many cracks and defects... bricks holding the roof on!
Style: Small Rabbit Hutch
We ended up with stray (Ferrell) chickens in our yard one day and soon after we had 6 baby chicks... so we caught them and stuck them in a spare bird cage before deciding to just buy them an actual home to keep them safe... I saw this one and it was a good price so I ordered without hesitation... it arrived quickly so we assembled right away.. here’s where the problems started... the quality of the wood itself is nice, the assembly process was very easy!!!! ANYONE can do it... As we were assembling we saw some areas are cracked and that really affected us being able to use it entirely!! We’re only getting 75% correct usage of this home. The right side of the house is much lower than the left side so the roof is not able to be screwed in on the right.... which is why we have 2 bricks holding the roof down... the screw holes are not lined up properly which is what cause the house to be lopsided this way... I attached pictures so you can see where the left panel is flush with the roof but the right side has about 1/2” gap that is preventing the screw and hinges to align... so the roof can be blown off in strong winds... The inside of the house on the upper level should have a panel in the middle so that mommy and babies have a nice dry warm place to sleep... BUT... the wooden slots are not lined up correctly so we could not add that piece.... so now mommy and babies are exposed to the rain and cold We’ve been having... and it breaks my heart that they get wet so we throw a shower curtain over during raining times... we would not be having to do this if the inner brackets were correctly installed, but they aren’t! I did contact the company who said they would send out the replacement parts so we could have fully functioning home for them.... but nothing ever arrived. I am disappointed... the box was in marvelous condition so I know it was not a shipping issue that caused all the cracks and defects... it was a quality control problem... I do love the house and understand things happen and this could be an isolated problem but I believe in the company fixing the problem.... not question the customers extensively and then not send the Replacements out! Would I buy another? I probably would since I don’t know how to build one myself and will probably need a bigger one soon if we plan to keep the babies but I hope in the future the company pays better attention to what they package and ship out... I paid 100 for something I believe is worth 50-60 that’s just my honest opinion... I gave it a 3 cause it is providing a safe place for our chicken family and they seem to be loving it... if there was just one issue I could live with it... but to have various issues from top to bottom I can’t ignore which is why I took off 2 stars.... the quality control & customer service needs a little help... This is a cute home... but definitely is needs to be better inspected before shipping to customer!! Too many problems to be an accident... overall we’re neutral with purchase... our new babies are safe from stray cats and that’s the main thing! ... show more

Style: Small Rabbit Hutch
The hutch came well protected and undamaged. Our little holland lop loves his new home. He has plenty of space in there and loves to hang out in there even though he has access to an area outside it. I did lay some grass mats over the metal part and put the whole hutch on a clothes washer tray which works wonderfully in size etc. as a base. The drawer would be a joke for its intended use. For that it would have to be much deeper so the rabbit sits in a pan deep enough to catch the urin. In my case there isn't a problem with this since our rabbit is using a litter box that fits meatly underneath the ramp. What I love on this hutch is that my son whose rabbit lives in there has easy access to all the hutch areas. There were only two hutches I found that offer this feature and the otber one has a wooden support running right through the middle of the front opening which cuts down on acces since that bar would always be in the way. My son now cuddles and cleans his bunny much more often since it is so much easier to take the bunny out and to reach all the spaces that need cleaning...and the bunny got much tamer as a result of it all. I think the hutch is well made for indoor use but wouldn't use it outside. I put an x-pen around it so little bunny has some additional visiting and jumping space. He now eagerly comes out to greet us and my little dog, cat and bunny have become friends since they can interact in a safe manner ... pretty cute. ... show more

  • Perfect for what I needed
Style: Small Rabbit Hutch
This hutch/coop worked perfectly for what I needed it for (new chicken not yet big enough to introduce into current flock/coop, and later for isolating an injured chicken while she healed). It is really too small for a full sized chicken unless you need to limit their mobility during recuperation, and in that case I also closed off the ramp to the underneath run area. We did not use the interior divider wall, as this made it too confining for a full size chicken. Also, be aware that it does not have a roost. I think it is technically for rabbits not chickens. It is also very dark in the coop area, even during the day, as there is only the one screened door. We used hardware cloth to put over the top opening with the roof open to let more light and air in during the day, and still provide security from predators. We also staked it down, as we frequently have high winds in our area. It was easy to assemble, and relatively well made and sturdy, especially considering the price. It arrived quickly, and undamaged. ... show more
