We used this for our one bunny and she has all of the room in the world which is amazing! However, there was a broken piece of wood from shipping which thankfully didn't affect anything with the finished product because of how the walls go in. Many times I see bad reviews for hutches I just want to write how great this hutch has been for me. It arrived in perfect condition on time and I put it together easily. It has been outside now for 6 months under only the protection of only a large umbrella . It has survived rain, wind, snow Bunnies always safe and dry. I have had several litters of kits and all doing well I have bought additional Trixie hutches and they too are in great shape and weather safe Thanks 5 years later still doing well

I would give this zero stars if that were possible. We purchased this as an outdoor rabbit hutch for our small rabbit. After 3 weeks of use, I opened the roof too and saw mildew and mold. After rain storms, the upper level was totally filled with water (as in 4-5 inches) and the lower level would also be filled (with perhaps 3 inches of water.). With further inspection, I realized the roof was totally water logged - I could stick my finger through the now rotted wood. This was a death trap for my bunny and I would never ever recommend this to anyone. It was hellish to put together (though asthetically pleasing) and I am very angered at the time and money spent on this piece of trash. My bunny will now need a new place to live. If you are planning to use this indoors, it is probably fine. (Although my bunny would never go up the super steep ramp). But as an outside hutch, please beware and look for an alternative!! I am attaching two pictures - one of the mold and mildew under the roof and another of the water filling the plastic trey the rabbit walks on. I hope this helps those of you who are considering purchasing a hutch.

The design of this hutch is missing one major feature that would have been a deal-breaker for us had we realized it prior to assembly of the hutch. There is not a grate/open "floor" area for the rabbits to sit on to hold them above and out of their urine and feces. If you don't modify the hutch, the rabbits would be left to hop around and lie down in their own bodily excrements. We didn't realize this until we had the hutch nearly completely assembled, and we did not want to take it apart and try to ship it back, so we modified the design by purchasing and installing a metal mesh screen just above the trays. In addition, the latches to hold the doors shut just barely cover the edges of the doors, and look as though they could easily be bumped open, allowing the rabbits to escape. We also modified this problem by adding small latch hooks. We ended up having to return the first hutch we ordered because it arrived completely broken. The box was in good condition, but when we opened it, the wood was all broken. We were able to easily exchange the broken hutch through Amazon's return policy. The second hutch came in great condition, with the exceptions of the design flaws mentioned above. After our modifications, we are very pleased with this hutch, but if you aren't up for making modifications, you might want to choose another hutch.

It's a cute hutch that is fairly well made for the price, though I did have to use some wood glue and reinforce parts when putting it together. What I would like to talk about is the COLOR. When I saw the photos and read, "glazed pine," I wrongly assumed it probably wasn't as orange as it looked... like maybe the lighting was off or the photo was oversaturated. WRONG, so wrong. It is a brighter orange than I would have thought possible... will make your eyes bleed bright orange. I didn't want to send it back, so I did some research on a nontoxic way to change the color. It was a pain to apply, but I had success with a product called Rubio Monocoat (color: morning mist) as shown in the photo I attached. I was frankly surprised anything could neutralize that color. It should be listed as BRIGHT freaking ORANGE, not glazed pine! Hope this helps someone else out!

Very poor manufacturing. There was a screw floating around in the packaging. So far we have not figured out where it goes. Several pieces were broken so we had to get the wood glue out. Good thing my husband is handy at fixing things, otherwise we would have returned it. Once it was put together, it is a nice looking hutch. That is why i gave it 2 stars instead of 1. Hopefully it lasts.

Super upset. The item arrived 4 days late which is fine and understandable but as we were taking the hutch out to put it together we were pulling out broken pieces UPDATE: whole back left side of the cage started coming apart at the screws (this was a piece that was already put together and assembled we did not do it) I am not happy and am glad I saw it because my rabbit could have escaped. The quality of this is so cheap.

It is definitely not built as well as I hoped. Very thin lightweight construction and was beat up during shipping. Instructions aren't really needed, but the ones supplied could certainly be better as they don't explain alignment of the back panels especially. So long as I don't lean against it or try to move it without someone to help - it is a very nice hutch. (I could see any side to side movement or weight could destroy it). They included an extra screw for every section which is nice since some products come missing screws. I would recommend, but seems to be best suited for 1 rabbit and probably for inside.
