Mine arrived in fair condition. The screen was slightly rusted and one of the legs had some stripped threads that could be fixed with grease. Just be aware that when using a torch from below, the flame will be shooting up into your face. Therefore detail work is dicey.

legs easily come unscrewed and not all that stable. I would not buy it again - not sure what the options are, but if i can't find something i'll make something with kiln bricks. Doesn't' seem like it would be that hard to upgrade to make a decent product.

Definition of a tripod: a three-legged stand for supporting a camera or other apparatus. Definition of a tripod from India: a waste of time and money. It came with no legs, just a disk and a super thin mesh that's the equivalent of a cheese cloth. Love this tripod with mesh screen!! I use a little torch & blazer to solder my jewelry components depending on hardness of solder and I tested this tripod out as soon as I got it out of the box! Perfect job at withstanding extremely high temps. Outstanding product! This shall make "hunching" over a thing of the past! Love that it's at eye level. The only complaint I have is the packaging could be a lot better. Not necessarily the box but I definitely recommend taping the sides shut. The postal workers are NOT careful and both flaps came open and any one of my tools could have easily fallen out, in fact, I'm surprised they didn't. Minor flaw that the seller should be aware of and in no way affects the use of the product. Thanks for a great purchase of quality tools that's easy on the wallet :) love it!! ... show more
