Description

This handy aluminum Drill Press Vise is great for use with our Tabletop Drill Press (DRL-300.00). Vise has slots for optional attachment to drill press base. Its quick release feature permits rapid opening and closure of the jaws or use the handle to make smaller adjustments. Jaws are 2-9/16" wide (65mm) x 1-5/64" high (27mm). Maximum jaw opening is 2-3/4" (70mm). Overall dimensions 9-1/2" long x 4-1/2" wide.

    • Cheap, not accurate
I wanted a vice to match my Dremel drill press. This Vice is inexpensive, but I would gladly have paid 50% or 100% more for accurate clamping. This will work for me on my current project. But I sure would like X and Y adjustments. Would I buy it again or recommend it? No.

    • Maybe I'm just easy to please
I knew this tool got some low marks, so I wasn't expecting a lot. I was pleasantly surprised when I found it so useful; not just for holding items in the drill press, but for holding all sorts of jewelry parts for sanding, drilling, filing, and buffing by hand. Because it's so portable compared to my regular vise, it spends as much time on my work bench as on the drill press. True, it would work better if it had a liner of some kind in the jaws. Small metal objects can fly off into space when the jaws are tightened, and that's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5. I got around the problem somewhat by using a fold of leather on each side of the various objects I work on. In short, for the small cost, I like it. ... show more

    • Light Weight not a heavy duty
It's okay, Not as heavy duty as I wanted, the handle came off the first time I used it. I had to take the back off to re attach the handle to the vise jaw. This would be best suited for small wood or plastic DIY projects.

It was suggested for the SE 3-Speed Mini Drill Press Bench - 97511MDP. It comes with mounting bolts but the span of the vise is too wide to allow the factory bolts to be used. You will need to get 1/4" bolts instead. That allows the vise to be mounted on the base. 3 star to Amazon not the vise for suggesting an improper attachment. ... show more

    • Great Vise for the price
I originally bought this vise to use on my Dremel workstation. I was looking for a small sized vise to use to hold small and intricate objects I needed to drill out. I had used a regular 4" drill press vise previously, and it was just so big and cumbersome to pivot and move around. This is lightweight, low profile, and has fine adjustment with the knob that this makes this a breeze. The red button on tops makes it so you can quickly slide the clamp closed and open. This made adjustment much easier and faster. The package also includes nuts and bolts to secure the unit so you won't have to go to the hardware store which was a nice thing. For the price, it cannot be beat if you are looking for a lightweight basic vise and not looking to pay for a specialized expensive unit. ... show more

I use this connect to an x y table. It is extremely light weight and can handle most jobs I use if for. My only complaint is that it really does not have any grip at all. The jaws are quite slick when clamping an item in place. I have workarounds for it so it does work well with those in place.
