This is a high quality strong and stable bike rack. My 52 lb e bike is very secure. Assembly instructions were clear and customer service was easy to reach and very helpful. Best features: Great price. Rack is only 14 inches off the bumper when folded. The bike rails are a perfect distance so 2 bikes don’t touch and can be off set. Includes a heavy duty steel ramp for loading bike Comes with a receiver lock. Wheel holder clamps are lockable. The wheel clamps do not touch or damage my carbon fiber bike frame. Some minor things that could be improved. Where the rack attaches to the car the steel u bolt is time consuming to remove and bolts could easily be lost. There is a safety pin that has to be removed to tilt and adjust the rack. It is tedious to do. Other racks have a self locking mechanism that doesn’t require an extra part. The loading ramp also requires 2 bolts be removed in order to use it. I may replace the bolts with a locking pin. For now I end up putting the ramp in my vehicle to save time. It could use rollers or wheels to move around the garage because it’s heavy. We did extensive research on heavy duty e bike racks and this rack is by far the best quality rack and at great price. Better than some racks that cost 2-3 times more. Highly recommend!!

Sturdy bike rack. Complaint is that the loading ramp and 2 (too) small loading guides need to have higher sides because wheels easily slide off creating a disaster. Also - the front wheel cradle needs to be mounted facing opposite direction th load bike easier and to prevent the front wheel from rolling out of the cradle also causing a disaster. Assembly instructions are good and the included assembly tools helpful.

This is an excellent bike rack. It's exactly the design I was looking for, but I thought it would cost twice what the Studtrek goes for. It's very well made- I was pleasantly surprised at the quality. Assembly is straightforward. My receiver is apparently slightly wider than standard, so the included locking pin was just a little too short. I contacted customer service. They responded within 2 hours and sent me a longer pin which I received the next day. That level of responsiveness is pretty rare these days. Absolutely excellent service. I would definitely recommend this rack if you're looking for a hitch type rack!

40 days in, I'm really enjoying my StudTrex bike rack. I've utilized it about every week, and I find it easy to load / unload, install / remove into my 2 inch hitch, and it seems to be well assembled with quality components. It was easy to assemble, adjust to fit my bikes (29er and 27.5inch), and I've found the customer service team at STUDTREX to be very responsive and engaging. Was looking a long time for a bike rack. Just purchased an electric bike and decided to buy one. What an outstanding bike rack. Side arms safely secure the 2 bikes with the locking adjustable arms. Very well made. Item was shipped quickly and was very easy to put together. Once I ordered the bike rack I received an email with a link for a video on the assembly. What a great added feature. Instead of searching for a YouTube video. It was right there. When the item arrived it was short the ramp. I went on line via Amazon and sent a message to the seller. The next day I received an email from the seller asking what was missing. That afternoon the seller notified me the item was going out the next day. GREAT customer service!! Would highly recommend this product.

I tried to make something like this using a regular cargo rack and I'm so glad I gave up on that idea. This is sturdy, easy to use and takes a lot of the stress off of hauling our bikes around. Getting to adjust and lock down to our bikes (a cargo bike and a foldable ebike) is simple. The ramp isn't the best but I don't mind picking the bikes up and making small adjustments. The biggest feature for me is being able to drop the bikes back and an angle so you can open the trunk of the van. That is a game changer! When we're on long trips, we don't have to unload the bikes to get to our luggage in the trunk.

Have had this product for a few months, have mixed feelings….. Easy to put together. Locks tire into place. Looks nice but…. The bike keeps tipping when driving. The tire that doesn’t have the arm latch falls over with high speeds and bumps in the road. I tried extra tie downs, putting straps to pull opposite direction… I do have a basket on the back of my bike but am not happy that the bike is not secure. My bike is a heavy e bike too but it was advertised for use. If I could figure out that issue, I would actually like this product.
