best-tasting food I've ever made. Super stupid-proof and durable. I got some recipes from a buddy who runs a competition wood smoker and just swapped in the Traeger - Made my first brisket the first weekend I had it and it was incredible. I've taken this thing to football games (use an inverter or baterry bank to power it), all over Florida, Texas, and South Carolina. I can put my meat on and just come back later without worrying about temp or fire management. It's not the top-of-the-line traeger but I use this for RVing and tailgating anyways - which it is literally the best grill/smoker you can own for those things. ... show more

I LOVE MY TRAEGER TAILGATER!!!! For just my husband and I, the size is right on. I was disappointed with our over-sized KitchenAid grill. LP tanks are a PAIN. The grease catcher never stayed put...a gust of wind would dislodge it however, you do not know that until you go to remove the propane tank and it is covered in grease! Yuck! No more of that. I plug in my Traeger, fill it with pellets, set the temp and that's it! And the sent that comes from it is like a campfire...love it! I can't believe how awesome the result is...my chicken is delicious and there are tons of recipes on the Traeger site to try. Pellets get DELIVERED. LP tanks are not! Are you wondering if you should get a grill or a smoker? Get the Traeger! You use it the same way. Another point I love is that when you close the lid, it is closed, so no gusts of wind are causing flare-ups on your food. I cannot say enough wonderful things about smoker...just love it! ... show more
