UPD After posting my feedback, Toshiba’s customer-service team reached out proactively and handled everything with real professionalism. They didn’t just replace - they also made sure the overall user experience was fully restored, from setup guidance to follow-up emails confirming that everything worked correctly. Even with such light use, the touchpad stopped working around 6 months in. By about a year, it began randomly turning on and choosing random modes - which is both frustrating and a safety concern. By year 3, the unit was completely dead. The feature set (inverter, air-fry, broil, convection, Speedy Combi, Even Defrost, 11.3" turntable, etc.) looks great on paper, but the reliability just wasn’t there. Based on my experience, I originally did not recommend this product or similar combo units from this line.

So all my house is electric and everything that I use is electric and I will say I should’ve bought this thing along time ago. I’ve been using it for a while. It’s really not that complicated to use. There is a cheat sheet on top of the microwave on a sticker. It’s got small writing, but you can use that to dial in the type of food that you’re using the air fryer works perfect. The temperature is set at lower setting, but I think that’s to preserve the microwave to make it last longer. Also, it does not heat up like some of the other people are saying and it does say to clean the microwave after each use, which I can understand why to keep it running for a long time to come. It’s super quiet, perfect size I can fit large things in it, but it still compact you can turn it to where it doesn’t make any sound. It’s just an amazing thing to use. My fifth grader’s can use it and I don’t have to be hovering over them to make sure that they are being safe

Quick review: poor lifespan and dury. Stopped working a little over a year. We bought this microwave back in November 2024 because we liked the different functions it had including the convection oven, air fryer, and microwave. It worked fine for most of the year, but there was a little issue with setting cooking times. There is no key pad to enter a number, so you set the time by turning the dial, which would frequently reset and we would have to set the time all over again. Around January 2025, just a couple months over the 1 year warranty, the convection oven stopped working. The convection oven would run, but the temperature would not exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit. The microwave still works fine. We never use the air fryer or combi function. We also maintain the microwave and keep it clean. We only really use the convection oven to toast bread. We reached out to Toshiba customer support to see what they could do or if they could send a replacement considering not that much time has lapsed from the 1 year expiration. They responded with some troubleshooting exercises, which we did with no success and we notified them so. Their response was they would have to send a technician to fix and it would be at our expense since it's past the warranty period. Upon going back to the reviews for this microwave, I see there are other people that experienced the same issue. Therefore, I would not recommend this microwave due to its poor lifespan and durability.

This Microwave Airfryer takes a little time to learn but once you do it is great. The defrost feature works very well. The noise level is much quieter than a regular Microwave. Perfect size for a small countertop. Airfryer feature worked great until it did not, heating elements stopped working less then 3 years having it. This would be a excellent Microwave Airfryer if not for the heating elements failing in less then 3 years, Microwave features still working but cannot use Airfryer features.

Update 3/26/2026: Well after the warranty period expired, I was contacted by a Toshiba representative regarding this review of our failed unit. Toshiba sent a brand new replacement unit which works flawlessly. THAT is outstanding product support, and I’m grateful that they stood behind their product. Because of this, I would not hesitate to buy another Toshiba product. Thank you! Original post: Our microwave worked fine for almost 3 years, but the microwave function failed on Jan. 30, 2026 displaying the E-05 error code after about 30 seconds of initiating microwave cooking. There is no longer any heating using the microwave function. I suspect that the inverter or magnetron have failed. The convection function still works.

So versatile - great space saver and has been very reliable so far. It can even make toast on the broil setting, but you need to flip it. Only quibble is it's not the best air fryer - it'll make things toasty, but not quite as evenly as a dedicated air fryer.

Update 2/13/26: I received a replacement for this from Toshiba sometime in May of 2024. And yesterday that one had a little inside fire inside. I unplugged it. It's the microwave that failed But obviously the convection is useless too.. So all in all I've had this 2 and 1/2 to 3 years. I don't know whether I'd buy another Combi microwave, especially not from Toshiba. Original review: I bought this model July of 2023 when it was on sale or something. Seemed like a good deal. For 8 months. It operated pretty well, both the microwave and the convection. I use the convection function almost everyday. The microwave part was fine too. However, recently, the microwave part malfunctioned. At first it was just a weird sound when I turned it on. And then it started to spark and short inside the microwave unit five or so seconds after I turned it on (I turned it on so I could send this picture to Toshiba). Pretty scary. Thankfully the convection ovens part still works. And thankfully I am under warranty. Toshiba just sent me a replacement. I haven't opened it yet, but hopefully we'll see. I would not recommend this model. It didn't last 8 months And had I not been within the warranty I would have been SOL. Another annoying idiosyncrasy about it — when using the convection (No preheat), I would set the the temperature then the time. But almost every time I presses start the thing stops And I'd have to reset it again and press again. There's something about that start button where you can only press it on certain parts or else it will just stop. So I have to know where to press it. That's pretty annoying. Also, keep in mind if you're used to push button Rather than dial microwave operations, this is going to be a little weird. I didn't take that into account. I can live with it but if and when I get another, it's going to be push button.
