This is for the TC004 SE. This is a great handheld thermal imager with a lot of different functions. There's tons of different thermal views you could use. I found it nice that it gives me the hottest and coldest spots in anything I'm looking at, along with the temperature where the cursor is pointed-- telling you three different temperatures at the same time. This is a lightweight handheld but it seems durable enough. The size is the same as any other thermal camera. It's not the cheapest on the market but not the most expensive. The screen has good resolution so you can pick out what you're looking at.

The media could not be loaded. The first thing I will say is that this device is pretty big. It is about three times the size of those body temperature reading guns. I got this for my electronic repair projects. I have been wanting to learn and do my own repairs on things like iphones and gaming consoles. This really does help with figuring out if a chip might be damaged. I can power the item on and this gives me a clear reading of what chips may have been blown or damaged. The reading is pretty accurate. The temperature is pretty close so far. It gives you a nice thermal image so you are able to see exactly which one is running hot. It does try to pick up the hottest signature. It will show you what it is reading. You just follow the crosshair. The screen is pretty big so you are not squinting your eyes trying to get a reading. It does also have an LED light if you need to see what you are pointing at. The LED light is not super bright.. It does not really effect the reading of the thermal imaging camera. It is very minimal maybe +0.2-0.3 degrees. The default is Celsius but you can change it to Fahrenheit if needed. The device does take about 30 seconds to full boot up. There is an micro SD card slot and charging port on top. It can take pictures of what you are looking at along with the reading and store it on the micro SD card. It does not come with a micro SD card. I was able to get it to read my 128 gb. I am not sure what the max would be. You can access the micro SD card and charging port by removing the cover. The cover is well sealed. The device is not water proof so be aware of that. The device has a bit of weight to it but you can grip it easily. It also has a mounting screw on the bottom if you have a stand for it. There is also a carrying case you can put this in and put on your belt or sling. The case is well stitched and held closed via velcro. The device came fully charged and lasted for several hours. It takes a few hours to recharge. You can use it while it is being charged but it is a bit awkward. For the most part, the user interface is easy to follow. You have to hold the power button or flash light button to turn it on. All the settings are pretty easy to navigate BUT the instruction manual could be better at explaining certain functions. You are able to take a picture. You just need to pull the trigger on the device and it will capture what it is looking like. It is just a screen shot. It is nothing fancy nor does it need to be extreme high resolution. The device does attract dirt and sand. It is hard to get off. The screen is nice but it is prone to scratches. It does not record any sound or anything which is fine (no real reason to). It is great for finding the hotspot. Overall this is a good device. I am pretty happy with how the device works and perform. It definitely helped me with my phone repairs and console repairs. It helped me find those defective chips that may be blown. It is pretty accurate in terms of reading even with the flash light pointing. It is a BIG device and it is pretty long lasting. The screen is decent size. The only thing I will say is that the instruction manual needs work. It could do a better job explaining.

I use $3k to $10k Flir at work, but this one is perfect for home use. It boots fast (image in 6 seconds, scale in 12), it has phenomenal range, latency is low, and accuracy is comparable to a $3k Flir. Comes with a handy pouch which is far more practical than a Flir case, charging is quick via USB-C, which is, imho, more practical than an external battery and charger on Flir. I found myself using it far more often than I thought I would. For the people who complain about freezing and clicking, that's the Infiray Tiny1C camera shutter for flat field correction. It is not a bug, it is a feature.

The quality appears well made. The display is not as sharp as a lot of the pictures show and varies depending on the distance and the color palette that you choose. The case and the recharging both are good. The manufacturer should decide to name the models differently when there is a difference in the size and/or function of the tool. Instead of renaming the models they keep the TC004, TC004 Mini, TC004 SE all with varying specifications. It is on average a good thermal imager for what you get and there are others in the same price range with varying features. It is NOT a FLIR OR FLUKE brand quality but also nowhere near the price either.

The media could not be loaded. This camera has been amazing, I bought it to check on some parts i was worried about overheating on my scooter and monitor it after rides. It has worked perfectly for that and then some. I was able to see what parts get the hottest after my rides after suspecting it was the motor it was actually the tires. I was also able to monitor my brake temps. After messing with the camera for a while i saw it has different color modes some work better depending on what you're trying to view i find that the white hot and white/red hot give you the best view while the standard ir color rainbow is good for just about anything. Pros: it is very comfortable to hold, The overall feel is very premium with the rubber grips and the nice padded carrying case. The camera turns on pretty quick and the battery life is very long after all my testing it only went down 1 bar. It also came just about fully charged. Temp readings are very accurate. Cons: The camera has an auto refresh with the default time set to around 15/30 seconds go protect it from overheating which causes a small lag i set the refresh to 50 seconds and its way less annoying. When taking video with the camera the timer overlay is shown in the footage instead of being hidden hopefully than can be changed in a future update. Overall its a great camera it has many uses outside of just cars, e scooters it can spot missing insulation (which i have tested) and water leaks also noticed it can show you what electronics you have plugged in using a lot of current and producing heat. This camera was well worth it and i plan to own it for a long time.

What great quality item. Works well, seems very accurate (helped find the leaks in my floor), and its sturdy. Need it for my drafty old house that I'm re-insulating. Finding the leaks, sealing/insulating/fixing/ or all three with the help of this guy - especially on cold rainy days when the contrasting temps really stand out.
