Incredible detail on all heat signatures. Able to see quite a bit, and I was actually a little concerned about making the purchase that I even tried to cancel the order...no bs. I have to say this is making Flir looking a little on the weak side. I own Flir imaging products, but this right here for a fraction of the price is incredible, unbelievable to the eye. Outperforms some of my Flir products but hey, someone had to score better. I would at least get this model, I am sure you would not regret the purchase. I will put it this way, I have different brand and more expensive device that just wont pick up a hot water line behind a wall, this thing here picked it up even after being 3.5” away from sheetrock wall. Dont believe me, check out the image on my review. The fact that you can take videos, use an app to connect and live stream it within the same network is actually extremely useful. I can be imaging something in one room while i have other people looking at the live stream. This is game changer for sure. Amazing features, great color pallets and the fusion function is exactly what you need to much better show people with detail what you are looking at. I would definitely buy this again, and I may buy an upgrade version. This is just crazy how well and how good the imaging is. Im sold, and thank you for uncancelling my order, whoever did that just did me a solid, and I am glad you guys did. Thank you for such a great product. I will definitely post an update after using this at work for about a month. Stay tuned….

I purchased this Thermal camera as I wanted to verify my Battery wiring work in my RV for my Lithium System. Along with helping to spot and visualize potential hotspots on RV outlets (most of which I have replaced with residential outlets as the factory Wirecon outlets provide poor connectivity on continuous high current loads). As a bonus my research on these pointed out that though you can't necessarily detect water, you can visualize its effects due to the cooling temperature change of a wet surface. This tool provides nice quality thermal image Fused to Visible Light image using dual cameras. For me this helps so much as when doing post analysis of the image with the HSF Studio windows application you can spot details like the labels on a circuit breaker or fixtures on a ceiling. Post analysis with the Studio application allows you to play around with different color palettes; see the image as Thermal, Fusion, Blended, PIP or Visual; Change from Histogram to Linear for the temperature spectrum and plot additional temperature points on the image with labels or turn all labels off. The iPhone app doesn't provide image manipulation but does allow control of the Thermal Camera and offers some options you can change on the camera with the added ability to capture videos while connect to the camera wirelessly on your phone if you need thermal video footage. The camera does seem to calibrate itself frequently so you may find yourself snapping an image more than once if it happens to calibrate while you are capturing. It boots up in about 10-12 seconds and it's ready do use. Included are some images from the F2VW. One image is an example of the Visual image quality of a breaker panel. One image is that same shot showing the Fusion view with the visual and thermal images fused together. The last shows drops of water on a linoleum floor using Fusion mode with Black Hot (the water appears very bright and easy to spot).

I was hesitant of buying this due to the price but its a good buy. I bought a FLIR ~10 years ago and had to return it due to it being $$$$ So I thought I'd take a chance on the F2VW. I'm happy with the results and all the options it has. It does not feel cheap in anyway and as you can see from the image you can see the studs in the wall. Note that the outside temp was close to the inside temp so there wasn't much of a delta - so I would say this works well. There is a cheaper version of this but I like the picture overlay this one has and a few other options. I bought it to see issues in the house including possible roof leaks from a hail storm a few weeks ago. I'm sure Ill find many uses for this handy gadget. I've looked at many others and this one is the best fit for me.

I have been wanting a thermal camera for years. Finally found one with acceptable resolution at a reasonable cost. Works exactly as I had hoped. Did a thermal review of whole house. Found cold spots around windows, in walls and ceilings and could sometimes identify individual 2x4s. Had a concern about auxiliary furnace heat, but camera showed vents had correct temperature. Checked circuit breaker panel and misc. appliances. Checked heater under bird water pan. Checked led light bulbs and found that electronics in base gets quite hot. App works OK so far. Still low on the learning curve. Have to be careful about pushing the wrong button on the app because that changes settings on the camera. I am looking for a generic app to just view/record real time video on friends' phones as I survey their houses. No luck, yet. Overall, I am very pleased with the camera!

For the money, you just cant beat it. Only thing a little better is a thor001 and thats $600 easy. Thor001 has a better screen, , refresh rate and 35mk sensitivity. but honestly, the f2vw has better color imaging. I just can’t spend an extra $200 for marginal performance improvements at best over the f2vw. The Thor 002 is probably the only competitor to this unit. But it has one major flaw and they removed it on purpose. Manual level and span. This is purposely missing from the Thor 002. I have researched so many thermal imaging cameras. The F2VW is the only stand alone thermal imaging camera offering everything the pros use. Including level and span settings and 40 mk sensor. I really want to love the Thor 002, but it missing a major pro feature. This is easily the best camera for $400 or less. Ive tried a few now and nothing compares to this bad boy and the price point. Get the thor 002 if missing a major pro feature like level and span doesnt matter to you. Otherwise the F2VW is the only real choice of pro thermal imaging cameras under $400. My only real gripe with the F2VW is spotty on the wifi connectivity. I could only get it to work via wlan. But hotspot connectivity has been a no go for me. 🤷
