  • Easy to use, reliable and quick setup
Size: ITC-308
I had an older freezer that could be set to a refrigerator. However, the problem was, the refrigerator setting would either be too cold (freezing temps) or too warm (temperature over 40F). It was near impossible to get it to somewhere in between. Thankfully, I was able to solve that issue by turning it to the freezer setting and adding this temperature controller to it. I had previously tried using smart plugs/wireless temperature sensors to trigger when to turn the compressor on/off but that had a flaw in that sometimes the signal from the temperature sensor is too weak or it runs out of battery from the cold temps and causes the automation to halt. Basically when there's more parts to the system, there will be more points of failure. This inkbird was simple to set up. I was up and running 10 min after opening up the package and reading the instructions. It's been rock solid since. You can have this set a specific temperature and it will keep things at that temperature within X degrees (you're also able to set what this X is). An additional bonus is the current temp is always displayed on the device so I can always take a quick glance to know if things are being kept at a safe temperature. ... show more

  • Works perfectly!
Size: ITC-308
I purchased this controller hoping to control the blower on my wood stove insert that provides heat for the house. The problem with the blower is that it only has one automatic setting and it starts to turn on/off unpredictably so the result is that there was a lot of wasted wood and the house rarely gets warm enough; and if I set it on manual, I have to wake up in the middle of the night to turn off the blower when the fire dies. After a few trials and errors, I set the temperature to 110F with a 3-deg cooling differential, wrap the probe with some aluminum foil to prevent it from rolling off the stove insert's top and to allow better hear conductivity. The probe is placed on top of the stove insert, and the blower is set on manual and its power cord is plugged into the cooling device outlet. When the probe reaches 113F (the stove is hotter than that of course), the blower kicks on and we get heat. When the temperature goes back down to 110F, the blower stops. This works perfectly and my use of wood has been very efficient. I will update this review if there are issues in the future. ... show more

  • Great temperature controller
Size: ITC-308
We bought this to moderate and control a heat lamp in our chicken coop when we were raising chicks. It was extremely important that we had a reliable device to turn on our brooder light when the temperature got too cold. The controller worked flawlessly with no issues and was able to keep a desired temperature suitable to raising our young chicks. When the temperature dropped past our setting, it would automatically turn on our brooder light. When it went above a certain temperature, it would turn off our brooder light. It kept the temperature right where we needed it. I would highly recommend this item to anyone who needs a reliable thermostat controller. ... show more

  • Perfect for Chilling for My Cold Plunge Water!
Size: ITC-308
Works perfect for turning my freezer into a fridge! Target temperature of 37°F with a variance of 4°, chills the water without freezing it. Stacking multiple 5-gallon water buckets 2-high allows me to use what I need to bring my cold plunge down to the precise temperature desired. [In my case, it works perfectly because I began my plunges in the lower 50’s and intend to gradually adapt my way down into the mid 40’s 😊] ... show more

  • This is what I use to turn on heaters for plumbing with temperatures below freezing

It's a bit difficult to set up so do read it's instructions. I use it to control a heater to keep my pipes from freezing

  • Beer keezer project
Size: ITC-308
Bought this for a beer keezer project. This is actually my second project as when we sold our last house the new owner wanted to buy the one I had in the house. I was downsizing anyways so it worked out for me. This is part of a larger setup as you can see but it keeps my freezer from going into a deep freeze. I have the probe taped to a water bottle on the compressor shelf with a circulation fan to distribute the airflow and it works perfectly. This is my second purchase and these work as designed. I like the fact you can program a delay so the compressor doesn’t cycle constantly which is good on the compressor. ... show more

  • A great, inexpensive fix for a bad commercial dehydrator
Size: ITC-308
I have a smaller (1100W) Commercial Dehydrator that has burned out (2) control boards now (to the tune of $120 each) in less than a year ... I was going to bite the bullet and buy a new unit, but then i got to thinking - Why not hook the fan up directly to 110VAC (as it basically is from the factory) and use THIS to control the heating element? I mean, the original controller was only good for about a 10-12f range anyhow, so even if this had wild swings it HAD to be at least as good, right? Wrong. This holds about a plus or minus 3 degree temp in the cabinet, and the relay doesn't make the horribly loud "CLICK" that the original one did. So far (2 days running 24/7) not a hitch, and it was quite easy to set up and program. $33 and about 20 minutes of wiring and I just saved (and upgraded) a $400 unit that was shot. One note, if changing temp set point while unit is in use, You have to hold the "Set" button for 3 seconds to exit programming mode or it will revert to original settings, also if power to the unit is interrupted it requires reprogramming - neither are deal-breakers. I have not yet used the cooling circuit (no need) but it does cycle on occasionally if the unit gets 3f or more above set point, I suppose that a true PID unit (at $100 plus) would be a bit more accurate but if that up or down 2-3f is an acceptable range (in MY case, 154-160f) this is a great low-cost option ... show more
