My first professional OBD2 scanner

I own more than 5 OBD2 scanners, the first one that came with Dataframe freeze option was not cheap in early days, and recent ones are tiny dongles that connects to smart phones -- these are amazing for the price around $5-20. However eventually I decide to invest a professional scanner and it was wow to me. The unit requires you to connect to WiFi and register to start using it (good or bad). I was able to update the system and update the database (picture 1-3). I did try a random feature that was not working for my vehicle and the feedback option is very convenient -- i will attach a log so you do not need to spend too much time describe the issues. The real help was the electric parking brake service. Previously I had to hook up a 12V battery to retract the rear parking brake to replace the brake pads: it worked on one side and did not work on the other side so I had to do extra work to dis-engage it mechanically. With this professional tool, the function is there, I could use it retract it for service and engage it later (although I tried this function, it's not time for me to replace brake pad yet). Next thing I want to try is the Battery Control Module because I was testing a new idea on using LiFePO4-battery as the aux battery and using the external battery maintainers to maintain both the main battery and the aux. I did experience some problem and I am going to test the BCM and CEM battery reset function (need to do more studies before I go ahead). So far, this unit is amazing and I hope the support will be great as well. I do expect a lot out of this real toy!

Great for beginners and experienced techs. Haven’t had a single issue with it, but also haven’t don’t heavy diag with it yet. Worth the price I paid for sure.

Peace of mind having the right tool.

Haven't hooked it up yet to my vehicle, but the interface is very user friendly. Out of the box, made sure it is fully charged. Went through the initial steps of setting up an account, wifi connected and while it was charging added any and all updates, since it has been boxed and no automatic updates. You can select the ones you will require for your vehicle.

Seems to be decently featured. Easy setup, quickly downloaded updates as needed. Auto VIN feature read all of our vehicle's VIN numbers just fine. (Subaru, Hyundai, and Ford SUV.) Scanning process of DTC was fast and accurate. Many test/reset features are present. For the price point, I suppose this is a handy little unit to own. A feature I really appreciate is "lifetime updates free," as far as I understand. A few things I don't care for; No kickstand. A minor inconvenience, but not a biggie. Screen resolution and fonts cannot be changed. I would really appreciate being able to increase font size. Screen brightness is "good." Not great, but good. Unit comes in a soft zipper case. For the casual DIY'er, this is fine, but a full time mechanic would probably prefer a hard shell case for protection of the unit. The pluses do outweigh the minuses, however. All in all, I would purchase this scanner again.

Can select up to 6 live data graphs and record.

This tool has been great so far. My favorite thing about it is the misfire live data. I can screen record and then send it to my email so I can review it anytime. Also the data reports are nice to send via email that has all the engine codes that are poppin up on your check engine light. Only thing I have noticed is that when reviewing data from the record button(not the screen record,theres two ways btw) is that when i scroll down it shows my other data from sensors frozen. I realized it was only reocording live whats revealed on the screen as if I was screen recording instead of data recording. Maybe ita a glitch , not sure but overall its a great device.

Excelente después de un diagnóstico lo puedes mandar por correo pdf para tener tu registro la verdad muy buen escáner no necesitas mucha experiencia para utilizarlo, tiene funciones muy básicas y fácil de usar calibre un cuerpo de aceleración que tenía descalabrado de mi auto y lo calibró sin ningún problema y funciona muy bien hay funciones de mantenimiento que no he utilizado aún pero con el tiempo lo iré probando y aprendiendo muy práctico califico 10/10.
