Very sturdy, beautifully made. The quality is exactly what I was hoping for both structurally and aesthetically. The color is very close to the picture and the velvet is so soft. A couple of notes to save some time: If your mattress is over 18” you won’t have much of a headboard as you can see in the pictures. I had a mattress with a cooling system that required a box spring under it so I switched to a different mattress that was 13” and it looks much better. There are some corner pieces of metal where the baseboard legs attach that I believe would hinder an adjustable base from fitting inside the frame. I tried to install a platform frame that would drop the mattress and was unable to install it properly due to the angle of the supports. ... show more

I was a little concerned that the olive color might be too green, but it's a lovely muted and earthy tone and fits well in the room. Love this bed. Very nice quality. The only thing I'm not crazy about is that the Velvet on the headboard looks like almost a black color where the rest of the bed is the green that you see in the description. I guess it's the shading of the velvet but it's way darker and like I said looks almost black. I kept it though because overall it is a very nice piece of furniture and it was just going into a spare bedroom ... show more

Great bed for the price! I was worried the "velvet" would look low quality but I was pretty impressed with it; it's a nice, dark green color, too. You'd think the bed is from a higher-end retailer, like CB2 or Joybird. I put together by myself in a little less than an hour.
