I own 9 vacuums cleaners and this is the best!
I purchased my Tineco S12 Plus at Christmas 2019 as a present to myself. I'm a gadget nerd and a clean freak. I have a pretty big home and my home has never been so clean. I love all the extra tools that came with the S12 Plus. I use all of them. I looked at every review I could find and the EXCELLENT HEPA filter was a big deal to me. Every test showed that there is essentially no dust coming out of the filter. The quality build is really good and the trigger lock is something I use every time I vacuum. It's a BIG deal! The auto suction works well and it's nice to be able to adjust the motor speed with the infinite finger slide. It's really nice to have the two batteries although I seldom need the second battery. It's just nice to know I have it (every so often I swap batteries so they both get used). I also like that it comes with two (2) pre-filters. I have a powerful plug in canister vacuum and I use it to quickly clean the pre-filter. I use an EGO electric leaf blower to clean the rest of the dust bin and it's parts. I use NO water. I can clean EVERYTHING and be back vacuuming in 10 minutes. I will mention that the unit I received on Christmas eve malfunctioned after a few days. I contacted Tineco customer service and they were great. They sent me a brand new motor head and a return shipping label so I could send the bad unit back to them. I have been using this replacement for about two months now and it performs perfectly. I use it all the time. I had looked at buying the Dyson V-11 but after using this S12 Plus for about two months now, I am glad I purchased this unit instead of the Dyson. This Tineco is a better value. I don't own a smart phone so I don't have a need to connect my phone to my vacuum. Actually, I think that's a really dumb idea. Everything you need is displayed right on the vacuum head. I currently own nine (9) vacuum cleaners and have owned vacuums for about 50+ years. OK....I've now owned my Tineco for almost 2 years. I love it as much today as when I wrote the above review. I use it several times a week. I use it a lot because it is so easy and convenient to use. My home is really clean all the time. Tineco's customer service is great. Last week one of the small hinge attachments broke on the dust bin. It's plastic. I called Tineco customer service and had a representative on the line in a couple of minutes. I explained my situation. They asked me to send them a photo of the broken hinge. I sent it about an hour later. Within 24 hours, I received a notice that a new dust collector was on it's way to me. I couldn't ask for better service. Thanks Tineco. Sure glad I purchased a Tineco with all the great attachments. Lets see you dust your home, your computer and TV screens with a Dyson!!!!!! 2/04/2023.... I've now had my Tineco for 38 months. I still love it just as much. I just used it a few minutes ago. Thanks Tineco for a really wonderful product! ... show more

Works really well
Over a year ago, we got 2 Neato Robotics Bot Vacs for our house. We love the little fellas and they do a great job but, they (and all robot vacs) have one major flaw, they can't do stairs. This means that we have been lugging our big Dyson up and down the stairs to vacuum them which also mean that they have not been getting vacuumed nearly enough. Also, we recently got a puppy and now there are more messes that require a vacuum and sometimes a full sized vacuum is just overkill. That's where a stick vacuum shines. We started looking at stick vacs strictly to clean the steps more often but soon realized that there are plenty of times when we need a vacuum just for a small mess. We looked at several different brands and had narrowed it down to one of the Dysons. What swayed me over to the Tineco was all of the features. This thing comes with a ton of attachments! Crevice attachments, extension wands, extra HEPA filter and battery, upholstery brush (powered!), and, best of all, a hard surface attachment. Dyson doesn't include the hard floor attachment and it's over $100. Suction- While not as strong as a full sized vacuum, this thing has plenty of suck. Also, it has a feature where it will automatically adjust the suction strength based on how much debris it is sucking up. This is great for conserving battery life and run time Maneuverability- Very agile and not hard to move around at all. The heads swivel easily and it’s pretty easy to get under things as long as they are not too low to the ground. Battery life- I can't really address this one in real world use as I've only used it for a few minutes at a time (maybe 15 min max at once). It was only down to about 84% charge after that use though. Ease of changing tools/heads- This is very easy, there is a button that you push and the tool just slips off. Putting on the new tool give a nice click when seated. Emptying the dust canister- While not hard, I did actually have to look at the manual to figure this one out. There is a button near the power switch that you push and then the dust canister lifts off. To empty it just push the button and the canister pops open. If there is a lot of debris in the upper part of the canister all you have to do is give a twist and the filter will come out allowing you to get all of the trash out. Connectivity- Yep, this thing has an app. I haven't downloaded it so I can’t address this but, it's there if you need it. Honestly, I'm not sure exactly why you need an app for a vacuum but hey, my shower has an app so maybe this is just another small piece of the coming Skynet puzzle. Hail to our robot overlords! Durability- I was really nervous about spending this much money on a brand I've never heard of but, this thing seems to be really well made. The packaging was excellent and nothing about this device feels or seems cheap. If it falls apart, I will update my review but, so far, I love this thing. ... show more

This is a $200 vacuum MAX!! Junk!!!
I was hoping for the best vacuum I have ever had with this! All the positive reviews praised this vacuum! All I can say is DO NOT READ any other review on this... They know not what a vacuum should do!!! 1st, we had many cordless vacuums over the past 5+ years, only Dysons have lived up to the hype and they have their issues!!! Dyson v6, V8, V10, V11, a few sharks. We also have a tineco wet/dry S3 that we like BUT this S12 is only worth $200 MAX!!!! PROS.... - Lightweight - Light on the end of the heads - Easy to dump - Easy to disassemble and clean - comes with all the attachments and soft head - 2nd Battery charger built into Base CONS - Cheaply made (more flimsy plastic) compared to Dyson vacs - Does NOT have the power to suck up compared to Dyson - Suction dies down below 80% on max (because max is the only option to get this vac to actually suck things properly)!! - Should have never been released to the public!!!!!!!! When we clean our bed, we vacuum up the mattress and we always get some white lint from the sheets with the Dyson, this one could not get anything AT ALL from the mattress, we used the Dyson V11 after and low and behold the white lint BUT not from this!! ON MAX YET! Now my wife is telling me about suction problems and I did not initially believe her DUE to all the CRAP Positive reviews on here and anywhere on this vacuum, to I started to use it, and I noticed it was not that loud as usual, battery was down 50% left, so I plugged in the 2nd fully charged battery and BAM , I could hear the motor more and suction was the best this could do (BUT nowhere near the Dyson), then down to below 80% and the motor slowed down again, this is something all of our Dyson have NEVER EVER done!! I packed up this overpriced, garbage vac and sent it back to Amazon!!!! In auto mode, is like you using a crappy dust buster trying to pick up dirt. We use all our cordless vacs on MAX, why because that is actually the only mode that sucks up everything !! if you don't care about sucking up every spec, then just buy a $100 cordless vac, Ill save your hundreds!! that's my rant, OH one more thing.... I also tried to remove the filter (the one that blows the air out (NOT the suction one, that one was brand new we only had this for 2 days max) and still no where near the suction as the Dyson . If this was $200 for the 12s EX then my review would be totally different BUT $700 and ($530 on sale) GARBAGE !! ... show more

Don't be deceived!!!!!!!
Set name: S Series-S50 Pro
Well, genuinely not sure where to start with this one. Got it this morning at 0850 sharp, and was immediately concerned about build quality. If you couldn't figure it out by the poor English (clean the gaps/keyboard? Who talks like this?) and the obviously photoshopped photos in the marketing, Tineco is a Chinese brand. You can easily tell where it came from based on the type of cardboard the vacuum is packaged in. Keep in mind this is a $470 vacuum when it's not marked down for "sale." The feel of the plastic this vacuum is made of doesn't reflect that. It feels cheap, and I can't particularly tell the difference in quality between this Tineco vacuum and the Bissell I replaced. There's a $370 difference between these vacuums, by the way. The S50 arrived at 41% battery, and took about 3 hours to charge from 41% to 100%. I'm not a stickler for charging speed, but in a world where I can charge my 4400mAh cell phone battery from 0 to 100% in 45 minutes, this is a bit disappointing. Once the battery hit 100%, I took it off the dock and tested it out using the "auto" setting. First thing I noticed was that it was that the power brush head is LOUDER than the actual vacuum on auto, but that quickly disappears once the vacuum registers that the floor is dirty and ups the suction. The second thing I noticed was that ECO mode is absolutely garbage. It barely sucks (pardon the pun), and requires multiple passes to pick up every bit of dust/dirt/whatever. Its not even worth using on the floor. Auto is okay, but some spots I vacuumed took a second pass to pick everything up. I doubt this vacuum truly reaches 200AW, and if it does, it's probably on MAX and likely for a shorter duration than auto. The battery life. They claim a 95 minute run time in the title, but if you go down and look, that 95 minutes is actually the vacuum being ran on ECO mode using the crevice tool. If you run it with the "ZeroTangle" (we'll get to that in a second) brush head, that knocks it down to 65 minutes. On Auto using the ZeroTangle tool, it lasted maybe 25-30 minutes on auto. I don't have a particularly large house, but I only managed to vacuum about 600sqft before the battery was empty from 100%. The green light is cool and illuminates a bunch of dust and dirt on the floor, but only really stretches about 5 to 6 inches in front of the brush head. It's virtually worthless on carpet or rugs, and only really works on hard flooring like tiles, vinyl, hardwood and stained concrete. It also completely washes out if you have the blinds open, or if you have the lights on. So unless you like vacuuming in the dark, or only have hard flooring, this green light could be done without. It's purely a gimmick. Now for the ZeroTangle brush head. I honestly expected it to handle the wife's hair without issue, but again Tineco's incredibly misleading and deceitful marketing strikes again. If you thought you'd be able to vacuum long hair or long fabric fibers up and not worry about tangles, think again. I genuinely don't know the thought process (other than being intentionally misleading) behind naming this brush head "ZeroTangle," then proceeding to write language where it CLEARLY says "tackles hair messes without tangling...tangle free," then finally following up with a disclaimer that states "based on Tineco's lab data, may vary by user habits and environment." Really? What habits and in what environment makes hair less or more likely to tangle? How exactly did Tineco test this "ZeroTangle" brush head? It sure wasn't with long human hair. This brush head tangles, mostly around the ends and somewhat around the brush head, and you have to clean the hair out like any other vacuum. Big fat F on that mark, Tineco. They also market this as "hands-free emptying," which is another complete falsehood. It does dump a majority of the dust out in one go, but hair and other debris wraps around the cone and gets tucked up behind the rubber gasket inside. I had to reach in there and pull hair out with my fingers. It's not hands-free in the slightest, and actually requires disassembly to completely empty. The dustbin is also stupidly small too, and in that 600sqft space, I almost filled it up to the "MAX" line. My house is lived in, but we don't let it get super dirty. The charging dock. It doesn't occupy a ton of space, but does make the vacuum sort of lean out from the wall. You also must have the brush head attached to charge the vacuum. The battery itself is removable, which is cool if you can find a replacement. In the end, the only things about this vacuum that are actually pros and necessary are the 180 degree hinge that makes vacuuming under things easier, the removable battery, and the genius crevice/duster attachment that is actually 2 in 1 and slides forward and backwards with a toggle switch. This thing sure ain't worth the cost at $470 MSRP, and is hardly justifiable at the $347 they're asking for on "sale." If you'd handed this to me, I'd have thought it was $115. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is because it'll fit perfectly well for what I intend it to be---a quick little tool to maintain the house, and I kinda like it. If this were my main vacuum, I'd have sent it back immediately. If you're in the market for a mainline vacuum you'll use to clean your house, look elsewhere. This thing won't last long enough to vacuum your living room and kitchen, let alone the average house. ... show more

Great suction and very easy to maintain
Set name: S Series-S15
I’ve been very happy with this Tineco S15. It has strong suction, cleans very well, and is easy to take apart and clean. Compared with the Dyson vacuums I’ve owned, I find this one quieter, more reliable, and easier to maintain. My Dysons tended to be noisy and had reliability issues over time. The S15 has held up well and does a great job for the price. Definitely recommended. ... show more

Makes it Easy
1st Day Unboxing: There's a LOT in this box, every attachment you will every want. The Challenge: Two dogs, one a puppy who is stealthily using the carpet for potty purposes, the other who has very fine hair that no vac other than sonicleanh has been able to fully get up off the hardwood floors and carpet. No vac could get all the fine hairs up and people left the house with ... white hairs on them because it kicks up. Dusty environment. The background: I have not owned a $600 vac before so I cannot compare it to other $600 vacs. I have a miele....which is useless for the dog hair and for carpet. I had a sonicaire that I really liked until the belt broke, and the technician had me take the whole thing apart to replace the belt, and it was never the same after that. It still left some of that fine dog hair, but it did a pretty good job originally. I have also never had a cordless vac. I had all the carpets professionally cleaned 3 days prior. First: This is lightweight, cordless makes it so easy to clean. It can go completely under the beds, sofa, chairs etc, into corners, so you don't have to move furniture around. The main component is small, and you just attach the attachments to it. I did the whole house on one charge with 5% left over, approximately 2000 sf. Upstairs is mostly hardwood, downstairs and stairs are carpet. You are not going to get a workout with this vac, its very light. It cleaned all surfaces with one sweep. NO dog hair left. Every other vac I've had could not get all the dog hair off the hardwood surfaces, and most likely not out of the carpet either. This vac gets in all the crevices, corners and you an vac anything with the all the attachments it comes with. I just did the floors and don't think I would have had enough charge left for too much of anything else. However, just having the carpets done....this vac pulled out dog hair and dirt that the professionals couldn't get. Attachments and main component are white. So wipe it down after cleaning or its going to look dirty. I'm not kidding when I say this has lots of attachments....but I'm pretty sure I'll be using all of them. I don't think I want to put the charger on the wall, so I just detach the attachment and put the main component on the charger and plug it in. See pic. The collection bin, gets full pretty fast, I emptied it 3 times .....but it is small and easy to empty. To keep it looking clean, wipe the bin and filter off after you are done. The LED light on the floor attachment, as others have said is a great feature. I vac'd in the dark to see how it would work. Its lights everything...those fine hairs glowed! Got it all up. The app feature, took a while to set it up, because the app would not connect to the wireless. Had to install, uninstall, install, uninstall several times before it would connect. Having it connected now, it shows when to empty the cylinder, how much battery power is left, ..... eh....not real useful as that is all on the machine anyways. There is so much freedom of movement with this vac. If it holds up, this will be the best vac I've ever had. Will update as time goes on. It will pay for itself in 2 years as I end up having to replace $200 , $300 vacs every 2-3 years UPDATE 7/20. Still going well with this vac., it is getting all the dog hair up in one sweep plus a lot of other stuff. A little more info, it comes with an extra battery so you have two AND it comes with an extra filter, and a filter cleaner. I've used most of the attachments. Cleaning the filter (either in the cleaner or running it under water) is important to get rid of any musty (dog) smell the vac picks up. ... show more

UPDATE!!! 3 Years Later
After 3 years and almost 4 months, my vacuum is suddenly not performing as well. When I vacuum, dog hair collects behind the head! I have to go over the rug repeatedly to pick up the fur. Before, it was one pass. I spoke with Tineco and they think dust has gotten inside the motor compartment and is affecting it. I clean my filters after every use. I wash them (Tineco said that was fine), squeeze with a towel and let air dry. I got extra filters and have replaced the HEPA filter though there was no “need” to. I also gently clean the dustbin where stuff collects with a small paint brush. They said I could try a new dustbin to see if the sensor is going. But, if that’s not the case, the machine needs to be replaced. That’s a lot of money for so little time. And, there’s nothing else out there with such great battery life at a light weight. I’m torn. Sorry this is long, but it is a comprehensive review. We purchased this vacuum after A LOT of research and being disappointed with our one year old Shark Apex which kept overheating and shutting off since it was new and we had tried everything to figure out why. It seemed to pick up a lot but you had to wait for it to cool down repeatedly - frustrating. Plus, it is so darn heavy and unruly to move around. We have had a Dyson V6 for many years now and I like the vac. Does a good job on bare floors but not enough battery life to do the whole 1,000 sf downstairs much less carpet or area rugs and the price of the V12 was off-putting - an expensive stick that sucks the battery life when in high power mode. Didn’t think it would be enough to do my 1,200 sf upstairs. Even downstairs, I’ve always had to dry mop first because the battery didn’t last long enough to do the whole downstairs. Was a bit under impressed with the Tineco out of the box when I tested on my bare floors downstairs, but I clean them every other day. Sounded odd but did pick up a bit of dirt and hair from three dogs (and they’ve just started to shed for winter coats). Charged the batteries overnight and decided to test on carpeted upstairs this morning. WOW!!! Just vacuumed with the Shark a couple of days ago and was ASTOUNDED at the dirt it picked up!!! I expected the hair but not the dirt! We vacuum often and used a Bissell Big Green Machine last month! The Tineco got the baseboards immaculate with a couple of passes and the lights help you see! The only downside was I had to empty the cup so many times which really requires you take the stick off. I only took a small bag out of my stash because I didn’t think I’d pick up that much but ... holy moly!! The carpet attachment is effective and no hair clogged it. All that was left was a little dust. The floor attachment holds onto a little dust and hair which a quick swipe on a rug cleans off and vacuums up. And, if you overfill the cup by accident, the ENTIRE filter section comes out with a little twist so you don’t have to take the whole assembly off to clean it out or dig with an old toothbrush!!! I am going to have to use the filter cleaning attachment after what I picked up just this morning! AND, I still have 30% battery left!! I haven’t even touched the SECOND battery!! The battery minder is a great feature so you’re not caught unawares. But, I think I’m going to be obsessed with watching it (haha). Yes, the hard floor attachment makes a noise we don’t associate with vacuuming, but the carpet attachment sounds normal so I know it’s not the machine. And, as far as the “Auto” mode goes, it really works! You think, “This thing can’t be using enough power to pick up much because it’s not making much noise.” (I did see it go up and down in power.) But, the proof is in the bag of yukk that I have. And, no keeping track of a power cord or stopping to plug it in elsewhere! SO easy and maneuverable. Lower profile on the floor attachments than the V6. A bit heavier than the V6 but that has a small battery. I will be able to clean my whole house with these two batteries, including dusting and vacuuming the bed spreads. SO many attachments, I’m not sure I can use them all! Definitely, a win-win!!! I will update as time goes by but, if this tool lasts and keeps cleaning like this, I am a happy camper!!! ... show more

Great cordless vac
Set name: S Series-S50 Pro
So far this vac has been great. Don't expect it to clean your entire house the same as a regular full power vac on a single charge. But as far as cordless vacs go, this one is excellent. Especially for the price. Has good power, lasts for a decent length of time on a charge, lightweight and very nicely balanced. Easy to empty out and clean. The brush head really doesn't seem to get tangled at all, as claimed. The ability to fold the tube at an angle and get under furniture works very well and is quite handy. The reduced power setting is just right for loose rugs/mats. Overall very happy with it. It's an excellent balance of features: battery power, cleaning power, ease of use, weight and balance, functionality, ease of cleaning. Definitely recommend. ... show more
