This bike rack is very sturdy and holds our bikes securely. One of our bikes is a heavier ebike and there is no issue with carrying the extra weight. We travel across the country a couple times a year and have no worries with the bikes on this rack.

Sturdy, secure, and convenient - a must have for bikers! I leave mine on the car all the time as it folds out of the way when not in use. Easy to install. Bikes are secure and I don’t have to worry about anything falling off the back. Worked wonderfully for a cross country road trip!

Easy to assemble and install on the car. Very easy to load and unload bikes, fits 3” fat tire bikes no problem. One of the wheel straps broke on the first use but Thule sent a replacement ASAP under warranty.

In hitch screw design lock doesn’t work and rack and bikes can be stolen! Doesn’t have tire locks in front tire arm?? Purchase separately? Probably $2 locks but they can’t include them ? That’s being cheap for $650 spent! Save up your money go to bike shop spend the $1200-1500 on a real bike rack Dont trust this rack past 50-100 miles! Just not secure enough to the car! And rocks back and fourth like 8” ! Thule should be embarrassed to have their name on it ! Don’t ignore the negative reviews you will not be happy ... show more

I would love to give the Thule T2 Pro X a 5 star review and a strong buy rating but alas i cannot. The main reason is that this model only comes with one lock. That lock is for the Hitch assembly. There are no locks for the bicycle locking arms. Those must be purchased separately. What's worse is that you will have to get the package to see what the key number is and then order the locks from the Thule website. You can avoid that nonsense by purchasing a set of 4 locks at the time of purchase. You can then throw out the original lock and now have a set that uses a common key. This represents another $50 purchase that must be considered with the high cost of the Thule hitch. Why Thule, why? This is the kind of short cuts and shortsightedness execs must learn in business school. The user manual also needs some help. There are pictures in the instruction manual, but no text/hints or explanation. A couple of times, this left me guessing where i had to take a break and look at all the pictures very carefully to see the final setup. When you develop products for consumers with a wide range of skill levels and experience, it's important to be very detailed in the assembly instructions. The manual falls very short. In summation, great product design, strong and sturdy, disappointed that the locking arm locks are not included in the package. I bought the set of 4 locks as i did not want to have to return the unit. It's Thursday and the locks will arrive Saturday. Except i had planned to leave early Saturday morning for my trip. How much did Thule save by not including those two locks? what's this extra effort worth to you and should you reward companies that do stuff like this no matter how good their product is? Put three pretty heavy electric bikes on the rack, and a beach cruiser, went all over the country in my 32’ RV, bought the two bike extension when I purchased it from Amazon I used it for four years without one single problem.
