The 1-1/2 inch MIP thread is the end that screws directly into your pool wall return fitting. This is a standard residential pool size. The 3/4" measurement refers to the opening size of the eyeball nozzle itself. Can I aim this nozzle to push debris toward my skimmer? How does the directional feature work? Yes. Loosen the lock ring, rotate the eyeball 360° to point flow toward dead spots like steps or corners, then hand-tighten the ring. It improves circulation and helps push floating debris toward the skimmer for more efficient cleaning. I replaced a similar nozzle but still have a small leak. What should I check before blaming the nozzle? Check your gasket or O-ring between the nozzle shoulder and wall fitting — that seal is critical. Do not overtighten. Hand-tighten firmly, then just a quarter turn more. Proper sealing stops the leak in under a minute. Will this nozzle crack or turn yellow under direct sun and chlorine water over time?
