Features

  • 4K FRONT + 2K REAR & SUPER NIGHT VISION 4.0 W/ SONY STARVIS 2 SENSORThe U3000 delivers improved 4K front and 2K rear recording compared to the U1000, thanks to STARVIS 2 and a more powerful Ambarella CPU. The addition of an adjustable bitrate offers the flexibility to record sharper footage. Also, the U3000 features Super Night Vision 4.0 which takes advantage of STARVIS 2s high sensitivity and low noise technology to help the dash cam capture clearer footage in low-light conditions.
  • NEW RADAR PARKING MODE WITH BUILT-IN RADAR Radar Parking mode is a low-powered recording mode that utilizes the U3000s built-in radar to monitor motion with minimal power consumption (requires hardwiring or OBD-II cable; OBD included). This allows for longer parking surveillance with buffering so you have footage of events leading to an incident. When a motion or impact is detected, the U3000 will save a 20-sec video clip of the incident (10s before and after the motion or impact is detected)
  • EASY ACCESS WITH THINKWARE CONNECTED APPTHINKWARE CONNECTED App provides easy access to your Thinkware Dash Cam so you can watch your vehicle live remotely, get instant impact notifications, and more, all in the same app. (Internet connection is required, carrier charges may apply)
  • EASY WI-FI DEVICE PAIRING WITH THINKWARE LINK APP & BLUETOOTH Built-in Bluetooth allows hassle-free dash cam pairing with your compatible Android or iOS device via the Thinkware Link App. Once paired, replay your latest driving videos and manage your dash cams settings with the Thinkware Link App.

Description

Equipped with an 8MP Sony STARVIS 2 IMX 678 sensor, a wide 158º field of view, and a high-performance Ambarella CPU, the U3000 ensures remarkable recording quality. The rear camera, featuring a 5MP Sony STARVIS IMX 335 sensor, captures a generous 128º in 2K QHD at 30fps. How do I enable Parking Mode? Power the dash cam via hardwiring, OBD-II, or iVolt battery. Connect to the app via Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, go to Dash Cam Settings > Record Settings, and select your preferred Parking Surveillance mode. Which THINKWARE Mobile App should I use? Download THINKWARE DASH CAM LINK app to review footage and adjust dash cam settings. To access connected features, download THINKWARE CONNECTED app. *Mobile hotspot required. Data charges may apply. Why won't my dash cam connect to the app? Make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is on and you're connected to the dash cam. Disconnect Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, as they can block the connection. If issue persists, please contact our support team for help. My THINKWARE dash cam will not power on. Test with a 12V car charger cable. If it powers on, check your hardwiring cable, OBD-II cable, or iVolt battery. If you don't have a 12V car charger or the dash cam doesn't power on, contact our support team for help. How do I reset my dash cam? Hold the REC and MIC buttons at the same time until the device begins to beep. The dash cam will then restart, reverting to default, which will erase the microSD card and all recording footage. Be sure to save all crucial footage beforehand.

  • Review for dashcam
Set name: 2CH Front & Rear Cam
I've been extremely impressed with the THINKWARE U3000 PRO. The video quality is outstanding, with crisp 4K front recording and excellent Super Night Vision 4.0 that captures important details like license plates even in low-light conditions. The Radar Parking Mode gives me peace of mind when my vehicle is unattended. These are among the flagship features highlighted for the U3000 PRO. The Radar Parking Mode is the main reason to buy it. Most dash cams stay hot in parking mode and drain your 12V battery in a day, or they wake up after someone hits your car (missing the actual impact). The U3000 PRO's dual radar senses approaching motion before impact, wakes up, and records footage before and after the event. My car sat for several days without starting, and the battery was totally fine. Another thing I really like is the low-profile design. It doesn't have an integrated screen, which I actually prefer. It tucks right behind the rearview mirror, blends in like an OEM rain sensor, and doesn't draw unwanted attention from thieves. The installation was straightforward, and the app makes it easy to review footage and adjust settings. GPS, Wi-Fi, and the safety features are all useful additions that make this feel like a premium dash cam. Overall, it's a reliable, high-quality investment for anyone who wants top-notch protection for their vehicle. I highly recommend the THINKWARE U3000 PRO. ... show more

  • A Huge Upgrade in Reliability and Peace of Mind
Set name: 2CH Front & Rear Cam
I had been using a Viofo dash cam before this, and the reason I decided to replace it was honestly frustrating. Last year I was involved in an accident, and when I went to check the footage, there was nothing saved at all. I was shocked. After looking into it, the cause turned out to be a card error. I changed the memory card after that, but the problem still came back from time to time, and it became a constant source of stress. A dash cam is supposed to give you peace of mind, so dealing with repeated recording concerns completely defeated the purpose. One of the main reasons I chose Thinkware was the brand reputation. It has a very strong premium image, and being known as the number one brand in Korea definitely influenced my decision. I hesitated at first because it is not an easy product to justify casually, but after reading reviews and spending time looking through Reddit discussions and user experiences, I came to the conclusion that this was one of the best options when it comes to durability and long term dependability. My conclusion is simple. I am extremely satisfied with it. The app works well, which already makes the daily experience much better. The video quality is also excellent, with clear footage that looks sharp and dependable without noticeable degradation. More than anything, the parking mode has been outstanding. That is probably the feature that gives me the most confidence. It feels like this is finally the kind of dash cam setup I can truly trust, both while driving and while the car is parked. I also installed it myself instead of going through a professional installer. Since I added the rear camera as well, the full installation took about two hours. Even so, it was not especially difficult. I was relieved that the power connection process felt much simpler and more user friendly than I expected, so I was able to install it without too much anxiety. For me, this has been a major upgrade in the areas that matter most. Reliability, image quality, app performance, and parking protection all feel strong here. After my experience with missing footage on my previous dash cam, that sense of security matters a lot, and this product has absolutely delivered it. ... show more

  • Great quality and easy installation
Set name: 2CH Front & Rear Cam
I installed this dash cam in my minivan and the whole process was surprisingly easy. The cable for the rear camera is long enough to reach the back window, and I was able to tuck the wires away nicely, so the installation looks very clean. Connecting the camera to the app was also quick and easy. The video quality is excellent, and I really like having both front and rear coverage. The parking mode is another feature that gives me extra peace of mind. Overall, I’m very happy with the quality and how easy everything was to set up. Definitely a great purchase! ... show more

  • Nice
Set name: U3000 4k 2ch
I previously had a Thinkware Q800Pro and was looking to upgrade. In particular, I wanted an extended parking mode, better resolution, better night performance and hopefully better smartphone integration. These are just my initial thoughts as I learn more about useage: If you have a Thinkware previously, the hardwire setup is the same. I did have to re-install the rear camera cable as it uses a different plug at both ends compared to my old setup. The kit does come with an OBDII power cable that allows for parking mode. It also has a cigarette lighter power cord and the hardwire kit. To include all 3 possible power cords is quite generous as these are NOT cheap to purchase separately. It also includes a CPL filter which you do have to install on the front camera lens. Setup is NOT intuitive. There is no included manual although I searched for it online and downloaded it. The apps you need from the App store: Thinkware Connected, and Thinkware Dash Cam Link. Registering the unit is not intuitive. First, open the Dash Cam Link and connect to the dash cam. Next, at the bottom right of the screen are 4 dots--select that to go to Network and add a hotspot or home wifi. Then go to Thinkware Connected to register with the product barcode on the bottom of the dashcam or the MAC address listed in the previous Network section (once connected). Then I just went line by line in all the settings in Dash Cam Link. Rear RADAR camera park mode: I will be testing this next. Some say it doesn't work. Start by making sure the plug is fully inserted into the port. BTW, the rear cable has a front and a back. The back has a little lip to keep it fully engaged into the camera port. My cable had a sticker "front" near the front of the cable. Update:. radar in rear camera unit doesn't work at all. Not from any distance. moreover the two different apps is odd. the switching from bluetooth to wifi is also odd and didnt work for me when i had wireless carplay connnected. Thinkware support had nothing to say about the rear radar. Ultimately, the time I spent installing this was wasted... and more time uninstalling it too! I refuse to be a beta tester. Also, despite the increased resolution, picture quality didnt seem much different to the Q800pro...mediocre! ... show more

  • Perfect Dash Cam Setup for a Rideshare Driver and EV Owner
Set name: 2CH Front & Rear Cam
I drive Lyft in the Boston area, so I spend a lot of hours on the road, and my car is basically my office. I’ve been using the THINKWARE U3000 PRO with the Cabin Cam, and it does exactly what it says it will do. The video quality is excellent, the system has been reliable, and I like knowing I have coverage around and inside my vehicle. The U3000 PRO is THINKWARE's flagship model, and the front and rear radar make it especially well suited for commercial use, rideshare drivers, or anyone who spends long hours driving. Adding the Cabin Cam is a big plus for Lyft driving because it gives me coverage inside the vehicle as well, which really does provide “Total Peace of Mind.” I also drive an EV, and the Low-Power Radar Parking Mode is one of my favorite features. I spend time sitting at charging stations between rides, and I don’t want a dash cam unnecessarily pulling power while my vehicle is parked. The radar system is designed to stay in a low-power state and wake the camera when needed. Combined with the available LTE features and real-time alerts, it gives me another way to keep an eye on my vehicle when I’m away from it. For someone who drives professionally, especially Lyft or other rideshare, having front, rear, and cabin coverage makes a lot of sense. After actually using the system during my normal driving days, I’ve found that the U3000 PRO does what it promises and fits extremely well with the way I use my EV every day. ... show more

  • Image quality lives up to the hype, app side needs work
Set name: 2CH Front & Rear Cam
Bought this after my old Garmin started randomly rebooting on hot days, and I wanted something with proper parking mode without paying a shop $150 to wire it in. The OBD cable that comes with the U3000 Pro is what sold me — plug into the OBD-II port, route the cable along the headliner, done in about 40 minutes including the rear cam run. Battery drain was my biggest worry going in. I'd read enough horror stories about parking mode killing batteries that I almost talked myself out of it. After a little over a month, no dead car, no slow cranks, no weird voltage warnings. It knows when to shut itself off and it actually does. Image quality is genuinely fantastic. 4K on the front is sharp enough that I can read plates two cars ahead on the highway, and the rear cam in 2K is more than enough for anything you'd realistically need it for. Night footage on my street (suburban, decent streetlights) looks almost like daytime — brake lights and reflective signs don't get blown out the way they did on my old camera. Here's my actual complaint, and it's not small. Pulling old footage off this thing through the Dash Cam Link app is a pain. You have to reconnect over WiFi every time, and the interface for scrubbing back to something from yesterday afternoon, or god forbid two days ago, is clunky enough that I gave up on it. My workaround now is to pop the microSD and read it on my desktop, which is faster but kind of defeats the point of having WiFi in the first place. If Thinkware fixes the app I'd call this close to perfect. As-is, it's still the best dashcam I've owned, but plan on keeping a card reader handy for anything you don't grab within a few hours. The reason for the 4 stars and 5 stars in because of the APP. ... show more

  • "Think" Thinkware U3000 Pro!
Set name: 2CH Front & Rear Cam
Got this THINKWARE U3000 installed and honestly, it's been one of the better investments I've made for this job in a long while. I've been driving rideshare for a good while now, and I finally decided it was time to upgrade from my old setup. The interior camera is what surprised me most, the sound quality picking up and playing back is really clear. Every ride gets recorded properly, so if there's ever a question about what was said in the car, I've actually got it on record instead of just my word against someone else's. That alone gives me a lot of peace of mind. The rear camera turned out to be a favorite too, in a funny way. Nothing gets a tailgater to back off faster than seeing that lens pointed right at them. Between the 4K up front and the rear coverage, I've got the whole picture covered, front, back, and inside the cabin, all at once. One tip for any driver considering this: go ahead and grab the Radar and LTE Modules too, they're sold separately but worth it. The Radar Module detects motion around my car while it's parked, helping the camera record only when needed to save power. The LTE Module lets me check in on my car right from my phone anytime. If something happens while I'm inside grabbing a coffee between rides, I get an alert right away instead of finding out after the fact. For someone like me who likes knowing what's going on with his car, that's worth the extra cost. Being self-employed and out here every day meeting new people and driving all hours, this camera setup has just given me a real sense of safety and confidence behind the wheel. Not because I expect trouble, just because it's smart to cover yourself in this line of work. Highly recommend it to any fellow drivers out there. Solid piece of mind for a fair price. ... show more

  • Honestly
Set name: U3000 4k 2ch
The Thinkware U3000 is a fantastic dash cam for those who want top notch features and quality! The front 4K video quality is awesome. The rear 2K video quality is also sharp. The super night vision works surprisingly well, making night driving footage well lit. I like the parking mode feature for added security. It’s excellent for capturing incidents when I’m away from the car. Installation was straightforward, though the device is larger but worth it because of the advanced technology it holds. It’s on the pricier side, but for me the quality and features justify the cost. If you want a high end dash cam that covers all bases with top notch video and features, the U3000 is totally worth it! ... show more
