Features

  • 4K FRONT + 2K REAR* & SUPER NIGHT VISION 4.0 W/ SONY STARVIS 2 SENSORThe U3000 delivers improved 4K front and 2K rear recording compared to the U1000, thanks to STARVIS 2 and a more powerful Ambarella CPU. The addition of an adjustable bitrate offers the flexibility to record sharper footage. Also, the U3000 features Super Night Vision 4.0 which takes advantage of STARVIS 2s high sensitivity and low noise technology to help the dash cam capture clearer footage in low-light conditions.
  • NEW RADAR PARKING MODE WITH BUILT-IN RADAR Radar Parking mode is a low-powered recording mode that utilizes the U3000s built-in radar to monitor motion with minimal power consumption (requires hardwiring or OBD-II cable). This allows for longer parking surveillance with buffering so you have footage of events leading to an incident. When a motion or impact is detected, the U3000 will save a 20-second video clip of the incident.
  • EASY WI-FI DEVICE PAIRING WITH THINKWARE LINK APP & BLUETOOTH Built-in Bluetooth allows hassle-free dash cam pairing with your compatible Android or iOS device via the Thinkware Link App. Once paired, replay your latest driving videos and manage your dash cams settings with the Thinkware Link App.
  • EASY ACCESS WITH THINKWARE CONNECTED APPTHINKWARE CONNECTED App provides easy access to your Thinkware Dash Cam so you can watch your vehicle live remotely, get instant impact notifications, and more, all in the same app. (Internet connection is required, carrier charges may apply)
  • SPEED AND RED LIGHT CAMERA ALERTThe built-in GPS antenna tracks the speed and time data of your vehicle and enables the dash cam to alert you of upcoming red light cameras and speed cameras.

  • Love the cloud feature
Love the cam. Perfect for live view monitoring when parked

  • Honestly
The Thinkware U3000 is a fantastic dash cam for those who want top notch features and quality! The front 4K video quality is awesome. The rear 2K video quality is also sharp. The super night vision works surprisingly well, making night driving footage well lit. I like the parking mode feature for added security. It’s excellent for capturing incidents when I’m away from the car. Installation was straightforward, though the device is larger but worth it because of the advanced technology it holds. It’s on the pricier side, but for me the quality and features justify the cost. If you want a high end dash cam that covers all bases with top notch video and features, the U3000 is totally worth it! ... show more

  • Nice image, not so nice internet configuration.
The camera looks nice the image and audio are great, However, there are two things I had problems with. I couldn’t connect to the Connected app with my iPhone, because you can’t add a + on the phone number, by chance I used my iPad which did let me add the + sign and made it work, after a few hours trying with my iPhone it finally worked. Now, some how I lots the internet connection and when I tried to connect again to a hotspot, it work work. I can with other devices but not with the camera. I tried to connect to two different home networks and one mobile wifi and nothing. The weird thing is that I was connected to one of them before. It has been frustrating spending so many hours trying iOS/iPadOS/Android devices without any luck. I tried tech support for the first issue I had without any luck, I have no hopes for this new problem I have. Since the camera is rather new there isn’t a lot of info about this camera on the web. I am getting to the point where I am contemplating returning it, although I don’t want to. I can’t believe this camera is used on fleets, I can’t imagine all the troubles who ever manages those cameras would have. If I could get this to work, I would de finally change my rating to 5 stars, and I would highly suggest to add a trouble shooting to fix these problems. Update: I was able to fix the problem by factory resetting the camera. I wish I had thought about it before wasting so much time. Now it works great, so far. I added a star. Edit: I removed 2 more stars since out of the connected app stopped working. It seems like I will have to delete my account to register my camera again, something that must be done through support which is taking over a week to get it done, and still waiting. If I ever sell this camera, I will have to plan several weeks ahead. When this works properly I am sure it will be worth it, but until then, I wish I would have gotten a Blackvue like I was planning. Right now, I would not recommend this camera to my worse enemy. I hope that changes if it ever gets fixed. Edit: After waiting for about a month on them to fix this, I am still waiting for them to delete my account so I can try to start from scratch, I am not even sure if that will help. Update: 15-dec-2023 still waiting for them to do something to get it fixed. Over a month waiting for them to delete my account to try to start over. Imagine I had to sell the product, I can’t sell it while it’s associated to my account and it won’t let me remove it myself. Update: Jan 5th and the issue is still not resolved. About 3 months ago they agreed that the best course of action was to delete the camera from my account so I can link it again, which I suggested from the beginning. They stopped answering about a month ago. Awful experience. I retreat getting this camera. I am not sure if Blackvue would have been any better, but I wish I had gone that way instead. ... show more

  • Great dash camera for the car.
This dash camera is the best one, we bought ane previously for our car so this is actually our second purchase. We get recommendations from police officer which use it this particular one. Very easy to use ,you can see everything on the phone app, very clear vision.

  • Larger than I thought, false events, poor Wi-Fi connection. Wouldn't buy another one.
I purchased this for a new Chevy Silverado 2500. While the U3000 is supposed to be discrete and fit behind the rear view mirror, this is not the case on many newer vehicles with a equipment cluster behind the rear view mirror already. You can see in the picture how much it can block the view. Horrible? No, but I would have liked a much smaller 4K cam. I get accident alerts when I open or close the doors on the vehicle even though the detection is set to the lowest setting. This is just crazy to me. While most setting can be done via Bluetooth, viewing the videos in the app needs to be done via Wi-Fi and that is very tedious. Why? First, you need to turn of Android Auto or you'll never connect to the camera via Wi-Fi, then the Wi-Fi password seems to change whenever it wants. If you are close to your home Wi-Fi or have in-vehicle Wi-Fi, make sure that's turned off or you phone may connect to that while you are trying to connect to the camera. I decided not to install the rear camera yet as I've read, after the fact, that the radar does not function on straight rear windows. For those of you that don't know, this is most if not all, pickup trucks. I've thought about returning the camera on multiple occasions but ultimately decided to keep it. I hope I made the right decision. ... show more

  • Reliable in the heat
I live in LA and we get some crazy heat in the summer. My last dash cam, the Viofo A119 died on me so I was hesitant about trying another one. However with all these bad drivers out there, I still think it's better for me to have one so I bought this U3000. Been using it for the past couple days and the cam has been great at handling the heat. I’m quite impressed with how reliable it is and the video quality is way better than I expected. ... show more
