🚀 Abunda's Overview

This is our summary and key points to consider based on customer reviews.

This GPS device has garnered a mix of reviews, with many users praising its large screen and versatile features such as durability, road atlas updates via WiFi, and suitability for larger vehicles like trucks and RVs. However, some users have faced issues with the device's stability, accuracy, and size. The most appreciated aspects include the rugged design with gorilla glass and magnetic charging dock, whereas criticism has been directed towards its bulkiness and occasional functional hiccups.

Pros

  • 📌 Large screen size enhances visibility
  • 🔋 Durable build with gorilla glass and rubber case
  • 🧲 Magnetic dock for easy GPS mounting and demounting
  • 🌍 Road atlas updates via WiFi for up-to-date navigation
  • 🚚 Suitable for large vehicles, offering route guidance based on vehicle size

Cons

  • 🛣 Sometimes struggles with magnets holding it in place over bumps
  • 🕒 Occasional lag in response time, especially at crucial junctions
  • 📍 Inaccuracy in finding locations compared to alternatives like Google Maps
  • ⚠️ A reported case of the device crashing and not powering up post-return deadline

Should I Buy It?

If you require a GPS device for a larger vehicle or appreciate a rugged, durable navigation aid with a large screen, this product seems to be a good fit, assuming you can accommodate its size and occasional lapses in performance. However, if reliability and space are your main concerns, you might want to consider alternatives or await further improvements.

  • Very good gps for truckers
Style: TND T85 8 in Navigator Size: 8 Inches
So no gps is perfect. However after using this for a solid week it performs great. Easy to see display and easy to program for addresses. I’ve used a Garmin dzl for about 6 years and decided, mainly for the financing available from Amazon-( 5 payments no interest) to get this. I don’t like a few things like the constant 5 mile an hour over speed limit warning, but overall it’s worth the money so far. Only 6 more years and I’ll put another review- if the world is still spinning After using this gps for about three months I returned to my old Garmin, for several reasons. First is the mount really doesn’t work well. I drive a bobtail for work and the many potholes and frost heaves in my area (northeast) has it on the floor at least twice a day, and I drive slowly. Second is the gps itself doesn’t even have all the roads in my area. At least twice a week it will come up with no address found, choose another destination. I’m like, what? I’m not going to joe blow’s house for fun! It’s too expensive for anyone to pick this over a Garmin. Just my two cents ... show more

  • Best I have used
Style: TND 750 7 in Navigator Size: 7.3 x 0.8 x 4.5 inches
Excellent device. Prior to this I had a Rand Mcnally TND 70 tablet. The tablet would glitch and freeze and eventually it stopped working. I had insurance on it but since they didn't make the TND 70 assurion issued a E gift card for Amazon. This TND 750 is a great tool. It's been fairly accurate. I like the upgraded map software, it's user friendly and has useful features. If your a trucker looking for a GPS I highly recommend the TND 750. I like how the most recent update you can check your ETA for either the current leg ( if doing multiple stops) or entire trip as well as the remaining time for both. ... show more

  • Should have gotten a garmin
Style: TND 750 7 in Navigator Size: 7.3 x 0.8 x 4.5 inches
Im an over the road trucker. There’s two major reasons why this GPS falls short for me First, it loses GPS signal. Often. And what good is a GPS that doesnt give your global positioning properly? Clear skies in populated areas and it loses signal. Absolutely infuriating. And this is on american roads, highways, and interstates mind you. When it loses signal, first, your speed reads zero, the icon of the truck on the map goes grey, and then it kicks itself out to the main menu (for some reason). Instead of just reconnecting and continuing the trip, you have to go back into the GPS/navigating mode. Then it asks you if youd like to resume the same trip that it dropped the signal on in the middle of. Then it connects, and youre back off to the races. So, if this sounds safe or like a well thought out convenient design to you, id be interested in hearing your explanations why. Secondly, the battery/charging is not sufficient. Say i start my day with a full battery, and leave it plugged in all day as im using it (as any other trucker would do). Well, within 3 or 4 hours, it has lost HALF its charge, despite being plugged in (and “charging”) the ENTIRE time. This is BS. Why does this happen? I will actually turn it off when im on long 100+ mile stretches of road to give it a chance to “charge back up”. Its so annoying. Ive thought about chucking it out the window because of this, but then id have to use my back up atlas (also rand mcnally, but thankfully the atlas does not take batteries or need to be plugged in to work. They should probably stick to making map books) Why does the through charging seem completely non existent on this GPS? Why does the battery deplete at all while its plugged in? It makes no sense. All i can think is how great the garmin i used to have worked. And didnt have either of these issues. ... show more

  • A good Truck GPS
Style: Rand Tablet 7 in (NEW) Size: 7 Inch
It’s a good size, not too big, but not too small. It comes with a rubber strap around it so it takes less impact damage from the truck bouncing around. The routes I get aren’t always the best option, but that’s why I also have the Garmin Dezl next to it in my truck. While they both work great, there’s no reason to rely on one only, when both have areas that they are lacking. So far I find the truck routes it gives me are quite accurate. *Edit 1* Working out quite nicely. I am working on a dedicated account and delivering to stores. When I put in the store address I can pick the specific store and save it to my bookmarks list which then allows me to search for the store number when I need to go back to the same store. The only thing I wish it would do would be to allow me to select the truck entrance to the location I’m heading to, I also wish it would update my route for traffic conditions, but my Garmin GPS does both of those things. ... show more

  • Found perfect use...
Style: Rand Tablet 7 in (NEW) Size: 7 Inch
by far not as good as Garmin OTR810, i purchased this as back up and curiosity... only works with iOS, all addresses type manually, app wont sent address to unit, impossible to register, no BT connection with android phone or iOS, and this just the problems i get after box opening, i have to test it on the road... but as it right now my expectations very low... also no tech support and no info on the web. so so disappointed, for $450 they have to do better... 30000 miles update: as side unit it's awesome, it works grate with wifi, weather, diesel prices... it's like Robin to Batman... working perfect in the pair with Garmin. ... show more
