  • EXTREAMLY UPSETTING
Style: Rand Tablet 8 in (NEW) Size: 8 Inch
THE WORST. I made several phone calls for Tec Support, only to find out they don't even know how their own product works. Then I've called them three additional times because it's been three years since the highways have been re-numbered in Connecticut and they still, they still do not have an update for the highways being remembered and more scary read they told me they had no idea. I replied to the lady are you kidding me this is what your company does they make a GPS for truckers and people with cars and campers and you have no idea that the highways have been re-numbered and Connecticut not to mention Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey. How can you not know this this is the business you're in. I told him I paid over $500 for this unit and I get Waze for free on my phone and they're always up-to-date, how is it you can't buy update information from them I'm sure they're willing to sell it. The woman told me she'll have to refer her to the research department. How sad. I wish I never purchase this or at least not at this price ... show more

  • Made by the people who make the maps.
Style: Rand Tablet 7 in (NEW) Size: 7 Inch
This is the second Rand McNally GPS unit I have owned. I bought this one because the GPS on my phone took me out in the middle of nowhere in an effort to save me 10 minutes on an 8-hour road trip. I had no cell phone service for over 2 hours. When my wife and I decided to drive Route 66 as a retirement trip, we both agreed to buy a new GPS so we wouldn't have the cell phone fiasco again. Is it perfect? No. But it is better than what's in second place. That might be why I bought a new one. ... show more

  • A good Truck GPS
Style: Rand Tablet 7 in (NEW) Size: 7 Inch
It’s a good size, not too big, but not too small. It comes with a rubber strap around it so it takes less impact damage from the truck bouncing around. The routes I get aren’t always the best option, but that’s why I also have the Garmin Dezl next to it in my truck. While they both work great, there’s no reason to rely on one only, when both have areas that they are lacking. So far I find the truck routes it gives me are quite accurate. *Edit 1* Working out quite nicely. I am working on a dedicated account and delivering to stores. When I put in the store address I can pick the specific store and save it to my bookmarks list which then allows me to search for the store number when I need to go back to the same store. The only thing I wish it would do would be to allow me to select the truck entrance to the location I’m heading to, I also wish it would update my route for traffic conditions, but my Garmin GPS does both of those things. ... show more

  • Overall pretty great, but has charging issues
Style: TND 750 7 in Navigator Size: 7.3 x 0.8 x 4.5 inches
So it's been about 4 months since I got this. Overall it's mostly great. Has some issues with directions where there's been changes in the roads as they don't seem to update it often enough. But 99% of the time is good at keeping you know what lane you need to be in, where the exits are, etc. You can permanently avoid areas, I use this to avoid toll roads my company doesn't pay for, and is fairly good at rerouting for traffic delays. You can customize routing colors and other visual features, which is kind of nice, as well as your vehicle information such as trailer height and vehicle weight to get proper routing. The size is big enough to see clearly, but not so big that it obstructs too much of your windshield. Now the big problem. I've already had replaced the charging base and cord once, and will be calling them yet again tomorrow as it's not charging again. This is a big issue as the battery doesn't last all that long without being plugged in. I think they don't make it durable enough to withstand the rough roads of the country you travel in a semi. This is an extremely aggravating issue, and unless they can successfully solve this problem I'll probably be trying to get a refund. I shouldn't have to replace key components every couple months after paying over $400 for this unit. ... show more

  • Very good gps for truckers
Style: TND T85 8 in Navigator Size: 8 Inches
So no gps is perfect. However after using this for a solid week it performs great. Easy to see display and easy to program for addresses. I’ve used a Garmin dzl for about 6 years and decided, mainly for the financing available from Amazon-( 5 payments no interest) to get this. I don’t like a few things like the constant 5 mile an hour over speed limit warning, but overall it’s worth the money so far. Only 6 more years and I’ll put another review- if the world is still spinning After using this gps for about three months I returned to my old Garmin, for several reasons. First is the mount really doesn’t work well. I drive a bobtail for work and the many potholes and frost heaves in my area (northeast) has it on the floor at least twice a day, and I drive slowly. Second is the gps itself doesn’t even have all the roads in my area. At least twice a week it will come up with no address found, choose another destination. I’m like, what? I’m not going to joe blow’s house for fun! It’s too expensive for anyone to pick this over a Garmin. Just my two cents ... show more
