Very well built. Using for 90 gallon tall aquarium and it is more than adequate with XL sponge filter and large air stone. Not the quietest pump on the market. But since it is enclosed by the canopy, I can barely hear it. The bubble noise hides the pump noise. This pump is likely adequate for even a 125 gallon. I also use the Whisper pump rated for 100 gallon in a 125 gallon aquarium. It still works after 5 years of use and is only slightly louder than new. Air output has degraded to about 60%-70% of original. Sunsun pump w dual outlet, same 4 watt power, gradually became unbearably loud after 3 yrs of use. Now I only use for backup. Output is severely diminished and noise level is annoying.

I've only just set mine up, so I will re-submit my review if anything changes but so far, this air pump is great! The buzz is barely perceptible in a busy room, and as another reviewer stated, the bubbles rising to the top make more noise than the pump itself does. Setup was super easy and the output is actually pretty impressive. With the 60 pump, I'm running one 4" stone and I'm actually rather impressed with the output. Unless you plan on running several stones or curtains in a big tank, or running air to a second tank, you don't need to go with the beefier pumps.

They're not "whisper" quiet, but they are quiet. I have a whole mess of these now - 1 10, 1 20-40, 1 40-60, and two 100s. These power ALL of my sponge filters and do a nice job. Would recommend.

This same pump at walmart is $4 more then here on amazon. So definitely value for your money. I have used this brand of pump for many years on many different tanks. Noise level isnt a problem. However if you find it a problem you can always put a folded up wash cloth under it and any vibration noise is gone. I love tetra brand products. Update: After a week of use it has this incredibly high pitch sound. I have to unplug the air pump for a couple of hours.

The media could not be loaded. I ordered this on April 2nd, 2023. It worked flawlessly up until today May 5, 2023. It provided the much needed aeration to the tank with my large comet goldfish, plecos, and dwarf red-tail. When the unit was operating at 100% it was actually quieter than the two Hang on Back (HOB) filters I have. I believe one of the arms may have broken or something since now air is going into the right air-stone.

I read about how people have mix reviews. Sometimes it is loud and some says it is quiet and how to fix it if it is loud. Tested it and I am lucky. I was actually ready to open it up and fix it myself-maybe even add hot glue to help make it not move off its adjustment (for the price of this 60 gal it is worth it). IT IS QUIET SO I LEFT IT ALONE...LOL I tested it with 4-3/4" airstones (2 on each side and added another 2 to make it 6 total with shut off valve. I have to replace valves and airstones to get the 6 to work. I ended up using 4 though. I am just trying to supplement some aeration to my kratky hydroponics/DWC hybrid. I only run it on a timer for 5 minutes every hour for 4 hours/day ( after 3 months). You really don't need it on Kratky setup but I have the "cut and come again veggies" so it really exceeded what it is supposed to. But if I like to harvest till winter, I have to make it a hybrid setup.

Not the most quiet in the world but mine is in a cabinet so I don't hear it much but if you didn't have it in a cabinet it may bother you. Aside from that it works great and powers a sponge filter and a air stone in my 29 gallon providing lots of aeration. Having the two air outlets is a nice option so you can do a combination of things.
