Tetrafauna ReptoFilter Cartridges are disposable filter cartridges full assembled and ready to use. The filter cartridges use dense, dual-sided mesh to catch debris and waste while the Ultra-activated carbon absorbs odors and discoloration. Whisper filtration technology keeps your water crystal clear while removing odor and discoloration. Each cartridge is filled with Ultra Activated carbon which absorbs odors and discoloration. These convenient, pre-assembled and easy to use. The Large cartridges fit 125 GPH filters. For optimal water quality, change cartridge every 28 days (or sooner if water begins to back flow over the filter cartridge, a sign of a clogged cartridge).

I have a red eared slider who is a big mess and loves to dirty up his tank every chance he gets so, for the price I absolutely love these filters. Like I have seen in other reviews, these filters will need to be cleaned up a bit after a week or close to 2 and then if they aren't they will need to be thrown away a week or so after. If you do clean them up you can use them for another couple of weeks before having to replace them. ... show more
