Description

TetraFauna ReptoFilter Filter Cartridge refills work effectively to keep water crystal clear and remove odors from terrarium water. These disposable filter cartridges are tough on debris – Ultra-Activated carbon absorbs odors and discoloration, and dense, dual-sided mesh catches debris and waste. They’re convenient, fully assembled and ready to use. Use these medium-sized filters with TetraFauna ReptoFilter 20 gallon, Viquarium and Decorative ReptoFilter. Replacing cartridges is fast and easy. Rinse the cartridge under cold water to remove carbon dust, then remove the TetraFauna ReptoFilter lid and insert the cartridge into “V” slots and slide it all the way down into the filter. These are the cartridges that are used in my waterfall filter that I have in my 20 gallon long turtle aquarium. I think they work very well!! The waterfall filter does require two cartridges though and I just recently got it so when I went to the pet store to get replacement cartridges and saw they were $13 for one box of 3 filters I knew I needed to find another buying option. I was thrilled to find these at under $3 a box! Even though there is a minimum order of 2 boxes I’m still way ahead! I bought 3 boxes for less than I’d have spent on just 1 box! So needless to say, the value is excellent! I also have been very happy with their performance. Turtles are very messy animals, even when they’re babies like mine. Her tank has never been even a little bit cloudy aside from the first 2 days after setting up the tank for the first time, but that had nothing to do with the filter, it was new tank syndrome and once the good bacteria developed it cleared right up and thanks to these filters (and cleaning of course) it’s staying that way. It was suggested to me to replace the filters every 3 weeks, but after a week and a half the cartridges are still working perfectly. At 3 weeks I’ll evaluate again. For turtles replacement will be more frequent, but if you have less messy animals or fish you probably won’t have to do it so often. So overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and definitely recommend 💖 ... show more

I've been a custom for a few years now and it's nice to know that when it's filter time for Andrew my turtle I know for a fact that I bought not only a trusted and proven product, but that I never have to worry about a filters quality being cut in half and the prices double in the same statement.....
