Description

The Tetra Bubbling LED Kit is a hexagon-shaped, clear plastic aquarium that is ideal for bettas. The 1-gallon tank features a bubbling LED disc that lets you choose your favorite color or automatically cycle through all the light colors. The kit includes the air-driven Tetra Whisper Internal Power Filter with a small Whisper Bio-Bag Filter Cartridge, and an air pump to drive both the bubbling disc and the filter. The clear plastic canopy has a convenient feeding hole. With the addition of a heater (not included), this aquarium can also be used for tropical fish. Our betta needed a new home and this is perfect. We now have a happier fish. I docked one star because, as others have pointed out, there are no directions. There is no instructional video by the company either. I did find other videos that helped me. A few reviews mentioned that the bubbler didn’t work- I finally realized the splitter has knobs you turn to control the flow (not obvious for fish tank newbies). My only other comment is that you can’t turn the light off or keep it from changing color. given the cost of the tank it doesn’t have extra gadgets that give that function. Just be aware of that if you need to turn the light off at night, you have to unplug the bubbler. ... show more

I bought this tank to take to work. It was very easy to set up and my betta really seems to enjoy it (definitely better than the mason jar he was housed in at the pet store). The air pump can be adjusted to lessen the filter suction power and increase/decrease the bubbles. My only complaints are that the air pump is loud (I wrapped it in a kitchen towel to keep the noise down) and it does not come with a check-valve, which is only a copy of dollars so you'd think Tetra could include it. It’s a suitable tank and the fish we have seems to enjoy it, I’m really just bothered by the lack of instructions. Why am I having to search YouTube or go to your site to find info on which hose goes where? And it’s not like they were conserving paper because the box had a list of rules inside in English and Spanish but no instructions on setup. Other than that annoyance, the product itself seems ok though the hoses are a bit long so sometimes the lid doesn’t want to stay put. ... show more

It’s okay for maybe 1 beta! Pics are deceiving looks bigger than it is! Kinda cheap plastic and the pump keeps vibrating all over lol. No instructions came with to put it together so I had to use google and guess. But for 20 bucks you get what you pay for! Good for one beta

This was purchased for our daughter's goldfish. The suction on the filter is very strong. Unfortunately, our goldfish was suctioned to it overnight while we were sleeping, and was dead the next morning when we went to feed it. If you could find a way the suction wasn't so strong, it would be perfect. We only had it for 3 days before the fish was sucked into it. ... show more

These are nice little tanks, we got 2. It’s a little bit of a pain with the light and pump and filter gets a little crowded with the cords and tubes in such a small tank but it works well for 1 Betta and our kids enjoy the viewing angles.
