    • Excellent large tank setup, light clips could be better designed but work well
Size: 55 Gallons
No issues, some excess glue but that lets me know they really wanted to glue it all together. The filter will need to have water in the top and the tank will have to be at least 3/4 full for it to prime, the priming is the “loud sound” people describe normally and it really depends on if you have filled the basin in the filter or not for the duration of noise and if it will cease. I have found that with other filters you have to fill the basin otherwise it will just keep priming until it finally fills the basin, or they will randomly start priming themselves during normal operation. It’s a high quality filter in my opinion that this tank kit comes with, it just has to have proper planning and execution. It’s like a nice quiet waterfall and even looks like a mini dual waterfall, excellent oxygenation throughout the tank with the filter on one side; allowing me to have half of the tank utilizing an underwater current(produced by the water flowing down from the filter), and the other half filled with cascading water and turbulent current, just like a waterfall and a river flowing from it. Excellent for a riverbed planned setup with a variety of plants, looks very nice once setup and as a front room centerpiece. The lights work very well, they include clips for it all which slide onto the edges on the inside(took me a little while to figure out, they just slide on and kinda sit there which means you have to check them after you open/close the lids as it hits the clips and it slightly nudges them towards the edge, only the lid clips actually clip onto the rear frame), I already have new shoots growing from my jungle Val with these lights. The tetra 1 inch inner diameter sponge filter goes perfectly around the inlet tube, also makes the suction less powerful and less likely to suck in things through the side openings on the inlet, no openings on bottom of inlet tube thankfully. My shrimp love to graze on the added sponge filter. ... show more

    • Nice little aquarium.
Size: 10 Gallons
Got this aquarium kit for my son-in-law at Christmas and it took him a while to get around to setting it up but it's working great and he loves it. For a lower end aquarium, this was very well-made and easy to assemble. This would be a great starter aquarium.

    • This has been a great first tank for me so far

I set up a planted/dirted tank in this. I use the included Hang on back filter part of the time and I also mostly rely on a different sponge filter. The tank is great. The light strip for me in the 29 gallon tank was a single and solid hard plastic strip and clips into the lid. It's fantastic. It does have a rocker switch to turn it on and off but I just hooked it up to a wifi plug so I could set a schedule. The lid is cheap plastic like others have said but it works just fine. It's not like you've got fish dancing on top of it. It's not going to break The filter for me is fairly quiet. You can hear the impeller if you listen for it but the sound of the waterfall, even when it's just a short fall, drowns that out for me. I can't think of anything negative to say about this tank. It brough some great looking fish into my home and I'm exited to see what else I can add ... show more

    • Filter and light are broken and wrong
Size: 10 Gallons
The tank is fine, great actually, has lots of space for my betta, some shrimp and 2 snails, it’s very beautiful when it’s planted and I like it a lot. The major complaint I have is the lid and filter. I have had this fish tank less than 2 weeks and the filter is already ruined, it randomly starts and stops and stutters and makes this grinding sound often as well, I only have aqua soil as a bedding so I’m not sure why the filter is messing up. Secondly, the light is completely different from the instructions, it’s not a little strip of 3 small lights but instead a weird light bar that is an awkward size that doesn’t actually fit anywhere on the lid, I’ve tried looking up videos and everyone has a different light from me somehow. Since lighting and filtration are some of the most important things in a fish tank I want to say I am highly disappointed and regret buying this. I could’ve gotten a plain 10 gallon tank and boughten a light and filter separately for cheaper than this. Only unless you are a beginner with no experience or super lazy should you get this, but even then, just buy everything separately, then the filter and light won’t fail on you so early! ... show more

    • Almost 5 Stars
Size: 10 Gallons
Review Image by Kwalk
Have had no issues with the aquarium. However, I love my guppies so much that I have already purchased a bigger tank! We set up was fairly easy on this one. I must add that I absolutely hate where the light goes. It clips onto the inside rim. Anytime you have your arms in the aquarium cleaning or doing whatever, you end up knocking the light off. Do better with the light guys! ... show more

    • Fantastic 29 gallon aquarium
Size: 29 Gallons
Beautiful 29 gallon aquarium tank. It is larger than I thought it would be. The hood light was different than pictured. It came with a one piece light than the seven piece light pictured in the description, but I think it may be better. I ended up glueing it to the hood because it kept falling out, so that fixed the problem. Other than that, I am very happy with the product. Amazon was fantastic with sales and delivery. Thank you Amazon!!! ... show more
