Awesome tank. Looks great background is awesome I glued a few pieces of driftwood to it and to had no issues. The only issue with the entire setup is the filter screen they give you. I 3d printed a box and glued the screen to it.

Day 1 so I don't know about long term, but I LOVE THESE! I have mosses growing all over my property and this wall finally let me incorporate it and it's beautiful! I'm not sure about the under wall portion yet. Dark. Good place to hide but I think for the next model upgrade, an additional light bar hole should be put down there.

I purchased this to add some decor to my place of business while not taking up too much space. Aesthetically it is quite beautiful and we get compliments on it. It is not a perfect product, but it is reasonably priced for an aquarium set that isn't just a plain rectangular cube. The description of the aquarium states it is 8 gallons with 2 gallons displaced by the rock background. Once you add rocks and ornaments, however, actual water capacity was about 5 gallons. Keep this in mind when stocking the aquarium with fish. I like the concept of a built in filter to concealed it from view. The filter could be improved. There isn't much space in the basket for activated charcoal and is a little tricky to snap off for replacing spent charcoal. The filter is coarse meaning it will not filter fine debris and uneaten food. Most effective water filters have at least a medium filter sponge or both a fine and medium one. I may end up replacing with a small canister style filter as there is no room to add a hanging one on the back because of the built in rock decoration. It would have been nice if they included a heater in the kit that is sized properly for small tanks like this. It was tricky trying to find one that wasn't too large or too high a wattage. I am also disappointed this did not come with a cover. Fish will jump out of uncovered tanks. I ended up having a piece of plexiglass cut by a local glass shop to solve this. The LED lighting appears to be of good quality. Only thing that would improve the lighting is if a timer was included that turned the lights on and off automatically. The controller only appears to have preset times that have to be pressed once every day to run the lights up to 12 hours a day. An external timer can be added to fix this. The light bar does remember it's last setting when power is turned off and back on so this solution should work. Only one other minor item of note is because the front of the tank is curved, air bubbles keep sticking to it requiring daily wipes to clear them. Bottom line, the tank is not perfect, but looks great.

The package arrived like you see in the first 3 pictures. There was no privacy wrapping, the world knew exactly what I was receiving and it was left on the front porch. There was absolutely no regard for the obviously delicate package, as you can see the box was dented and penetrated all in attempt to damage or completely destroy the aquarium inside. The only damage to the aquarium was the same damage as another customer's review said, as if I received that damaged returned product! This aquarium is not worth the $119 I paid for it due to the damage. There's a crack in the bottom, and chipped at the top. The side of the tank has black tape on it. The back is completely blacked out so you can not get a light installed down there outside of the tank like modern aquarium lighting. But the mountainous upper background really attracted me to purchase this highly recommended brand (Hygger) aquarium. The top light made the aquarium seem like I was watching the tankmates in HD! The beveled glass in front was a really nice touch. The glass is fairly thick for a nano tank (see pictures). The filtration system is just as advertised, and easy to put together. But the filtration system is difficult to take apart without breaking the tiny piece of the box trap (the latch which keeps the door closed) to change the carbon. It already had carbon in it, I just wanted to get a feel of what was in store when it's time to change the carbon. It already had a black sponge filter in it as well. The pipes where the water comes out of the filter giving the waterfall effect, was not easy to adjust or twist into the desired direction. So turn it the way you want it to stay! The pipe also easily clogged. There's no lid on the aquarium. So, I had to make one so my frogs wouldn't keep getting out. The tank did not come with a air pump, thermostat, gravel, heater, or plants. The light was so awesome I just had to write a review. The lightbpad is easy to use, there's a timer, click one time for each of the 3 modes and click a 4th time to exit clock options. The day and night modes have 3 different levels of intensity. The lowest level of the night light option is soft enough for your mate to sleep while you enjoy the view. I would highly recommend you purchase the light even if you don't get the aquarium. I'm very sorry that the integrity of the brand is soured by the damages of this nano tank. If I could suggest a few changes, I would have the package delivered with privacy wrapping, check for cracks and chips, remove the blackout tape so the aquarium can get more light like the last picture of a different tank (more ambiance) with modern lights, make the holes a little bigger on the filtration system pipes for a unrestricted water flow as a waterfall, give directions as to how to open the carbon drawer on the filtration system (there was no directions), make the filtration system longer to reached the bottom of the aquarium for longer lasting clean (I had a second sponge on the airtube for more clear and clean water), and put the light 1" to 2" higher so the residue from the bubbles can not dirty the light. This nano tank could have easily been a 5 star review, if it was not damaged. There's a black thin layer of styrofoam glued to the bottom, which was also a really nice touch. I am interested in knowing what other aquariums they offer. I normally, for 20+ yrs., get my aquariums custom made for reliability purposes. I love aquariums but hate leaks! I regret that I could not depend on the workmanship of this aquarium. During Covid19 there's no one available with Amazon to report these things to. So if you want this item, you'll need aquarium seal, and you'll have to do some work to the glass make it work for you. You can still make this into a planted tank despite the blackout tape. I would recommend this to an advanced hobbyist who will not mind working hard to deal the aquarium properly. This may not be ideal for immediate use. I hope this information was helpful.
