This thing so far is sturdy. I've had it for a couple of weeks. The groove where you slide in either the hooks or the suction cups is a very tight squeeze, but after finally wiggling the parts together it's worked out nicely. I currently use one as a plant holder and the second as a fish cave. I turned the second one on its side and instead of using the intended grooves I placed the suction cups between the larger slits on the main frame so I can have it hanging sideways. Since I placed it in it hasn't moved. My younger cichlids (one pictured) seem to prefer it more than my 4+ inch cichlids so far, but the bigger ones do go in from time to time. They likely would use it more if they didn't already have their favorite spots picked out. ... show more

This did not fit a normal 55 gal aquarium, the clips do not fit over the side, it was to small to fit on, I was able to rig it up another way with other components I had lying around but doesn't look as nice, this does hold plants very well and is a good addition for plants that are not fully submersible. Edit: added a star for them reaching out and seeing if they could help me in any way, but I already have it rigged up where I like it so I still like using it. This item is delivered as described and easy to assemble. Only down side, IMO, is the depth of the pots. I don’t keep my water level to the top so the roots of my plants get exposed to air. Also, the roots will grab through the holes so it may become a commitment to keep the plant in that container. I searched around & didn’t see anything else I’d prefer, so ultimately I am glad I bought it. I’d still recommend, especially if you keep your water level high. ... show more

When it arrived, it was packed well and, as always, needed to be cleaned and brushed to get excess plastic off. The hangers were a tight fit putting them on the basket, but I would rather have that than loose. Three sizes of hangers came in the box. However, the hangers DO NOT FIT older 1" rimmed aquariums. The brackets provided will not fit on a standard rimmed aquarium. Had to use the suction cups to attach it. We shall see how long they hold. The box is sturdy, looks fine and has plenty of openings for water circulation
