    • This Uncapping Roller Is Rubbish
My 15 year old daughter ordered this uncapping roller as it was one of the least expensive options available on Amazon. This order has become a teachable moment in that cheap price does sometimes (most times) equal cheap product. We received this uncapping roller promptly as promised. It was packaged in a plastic shipping bag and the roller itself wrapped in bubble wrap and a couple of pages of a Chinese newspaper. After unwrapping the roller, we noticed that most of the uncapping pins along both ends of the roller were bent over and would need to be straightened. We then noticed that the metal bracket that holds the roller to the wood handle isn't really wide enough for the roller to rotate around without rubbing on the bracket. The core of the roller is wood of some sort and the 'axle' for the roller are screws into each end of the wood core. The screws aren't in the true center of the roller core so when using the roller is wobbles in a lopsided manner, which may be why the metal bracket appears to be too small for the roller. The handle is also made out of some sort of cheap wood and doesn't appear that it would stand the test of time. The quality this inexpensive uncapping roller is poor, so I suppose we were getting our 'monies worth'. I am processing the return once I submit this review. All in all, this thing is rubbish and I give it a 1 out of 10, would not recommend to a friend. ... show more
