They are simply bent metal pins. They do not grip the ground into which I placed them but there are enough of them to use 6 on each piece. I think if I had to buy again I'd choose ones that have more ability to grip the dirt better.

There is nothing extraordinary about a tent stake so it’s hard to go in-depth about any features. I will say that these fit the bill (holding down Christmas inflatables) and I would buy them again.
