  • Just What I Wanted
I really don't know how to rate the weight of this hose. It's not heavy compared to some of my very old hoses, and then again, I wouldn't call it light weight. It seems just perfect for a 70+ yr old woman to drag around the yard. The lightweight ones seem to want to kink a lot, and so far this one doesn't. I did stretch it out in the sun before I started using it. I've been using it daily for 3 days (mornings and afternoons), and each day I love it more. It seems well made, but I won't really know until about 3 yrs from now. I am just so happy I found this one. I have plants scattered over 2 acres. This is going to make dragging a hose for sprinklers really easy. And may I mention again, I haven't had any problems with kinking. I had a couple of hoses that were supposed to lightweight and flexible...didn't take me but about about 2 seconds to decide to throw those away and quit wrestling with them. I hope this hose continues to be a winner in the future.! ... show more

  • Great hose!!
I've found this hose to be the best on the market and I've tried many. It doesn't kink, but bends a bit at times, which is easy to fix. It also lasts a long time. Highly recommend.

  • Great Connections!
I have bought this kind of hose several times. I have a large yard and have added hoses. It does kink because of the way it comes packaged. However, it kinks less than some. If you lay it out after receiving it so the sun can warm it and you stretch it, it helps. The hose itself is very heavy duty and the connections are fabulous. It does not kink at the fawcett as some hoses do and that was thoughtful. that is why I bought several times! I would have given it a 4.5 if I could have. ... show more

  • Great hose for the price
This is a great hose for my purposes. I don't roll it up and it is stretched out straight from a faucet to my koi ponds so kinks aren't a problem. Even though the connector is plastic, it doesn't leak at the faucet. It looks like it might kink a bit but that won't affect my use. Also the hose opening diameter ensures a quick flow of water. Most issues I find with hoses are that the connectors leak. This one is fine so far. ... show more

  • Sturdy, doesn't kink Sturdy, doesn't kink
I bought one of those crinkly hoses and it busted on the third use. Also the nozzle never worked properly. So I read a lot of reviews before buying this one and I'm very happy with it so far. It is very sturdy all around-- from the piece that connects to the spigot to the hose itself. And it really doesn't kink! I bought one of those crinkly ones first specifically because I wanted one that didn't kink and I remembered having rubber ones that always linked when I was a kid. This one is very high quality so far (after about 5 uses). I think I've gotten just what I wanted with this one. ... show more

  • I would have hoped that it would last longer. Cheaply made
I had high hopes with the non-kink feature. When I received the hose, I could tell it wasn't a well made hose, however I gave it a try. For the most part, it remained kink free, but it didn't even last 3 years (my last hose lasted for 8 years) before the inside layer burst creating a hole and leakage. I will not buy this one again. ... show more

  • Know how to ‘treat’ your garden hose
I still ordered this hose even after reading all the bad reviews. Why? ‘Treating’ the hose is all it takes so the hose will not kink. And for those hoses coming in already kinked? Just treat the hose and here is how to do it. First and foremost, it must be a very warm day out and sun shinning. Hook the hose to your outlet. Make sure you have plier or channel lock and use it to tighten the fitting but not so tight as to tear the rubber grommet. Stretch the hose out until it is fully extended on the ground in as much sunlight as you can get. Put on your spray nozzle last. As you stretch the hose out, the air inside needs a way to escape. Turn the water on. Allow it to flow till you have a good spray and all air is out. Stop water from coming out of nozzle, turn off water then turn back on 1/4 turn and set hose down and walk away from it for the better part of the day. The warm to hot air and the sun will heat the water up. In turn this will soften the hose. Spray water out, wind hose up normally and by the next day, the hose will be tighten back up minus the kinks and also will not allow hose to kink while in use. I have always done this method since shown by a friend and it works amazingly! ... show more

  • Hose nice... couplings a disaster!
The hose is actually pretty nice, BUT the aluminum couplings which they seem to list as a feature are not! My research on Youtube seems to suggest that aluminum couplings are always a problem. What happens is if you connect your hose and do not remove it on say, a monthly basis (and who does that?) they essentially become welded to the faucet. Even with a couple of pipe wrenches, I cannot remove them. This is complicated by the fact that the nozzle has ten sides and therefore there is very little purchase for a crescent wrench. I have several of these hoses and I am going to have to hacksaw them off of the faucets to get them off, which is tricky and destroys the hose. If they spent a few cents more on brass couplings (and charged a few dollars more), I would be happy with the hose but as it stands it is a disaster. ... show more
