Being an apartment dweller, I've had a number of inexpensive electric grills (I'd rather replace it every couple of years than spend $300+ just for the brand name). I have only used this one a handful of times, so I reserve the right to change my mind, but so far this one is my favorite and I'd buy it again tomorrow. It gets plenty hot enough for me, though the reviewers who say it won't let you put a 1000 degree sear on a steak are right. But no electric grill will do that. That's sour grapes coming from people who can't put the charcoal away. There are no issues with the heating element flaming up from drippings. It's not easy to clean, but so what? It's price point makes it where if that becomes an unresolvable issue, its cheap enough to just buy a new one. Be wary of reviews from people who aren't familiar with electric grills. They are not as good as gas or charcoal and they never will be. So no one is going to go nuts about them. But this one is a true grill, not just an outdoor electric skillet like Foreman and some of the others. It's a really good grill for an electric under $100. Unless you just can't accept electrics, you be happy with it.

I assembled the unit in about and hour. I wouldn't recommend it for indoor use because does it creates a lot of smoke depending on what your cooking but it works great outdoors. I live in a condominium who outlawed charcoal, Propane and natural gas grills but allows electric grills so I purchased this one. I was surprised on the high temperature and it does grill fairly quickly. Ive been testing it on things like burgers, hot dogs, bratwurst, and fresh sausages . I was getting a feel for it before I try an expensive steak. I'm sure it will work on steak and shrimp just fine. Easy to use and when sprayed with cooking oil. I have always used propane in the past, which of course better but I grill almost everything and my protein levels suffering when the ban was imposed so I needed something and I'm pleased with this product. I would recommend getting a heavy gauge extension cord because the grills cord isn't very long (probably 5-6'). Ordered a 12gauge cord off Amazon as well for about $11 that works well for me.

product arrived as ordered in good order. This was a gift for an apartment dweller, it does everything it is intended to do, cheaply, portability, and attractiveness. HOWEVER, use of some sort of substrate, lava rocks, is highly recommended to shield the heating element and more evenly distribute the heat.

This was purchased as a gift for my sister. Advertised as a 2 day delivery. It arrived 5 days later. I made a special trip, 6 hour drive to help assemble it and show how to use it. It arrived 2 days after I had to leave. There were loose screws rattling around in the box. Very difficult to assemble and needed help. Has yet to use it and will possibly return it.

This grill is great! It only takes a few minutes to heat up and it cooks just like a charcoal grill. The only thing I don't like is cleaning the bottom bowl of the grill because I have to remove the burner to do so. Still a great buy for an electric grill.

Description says 240 square inches on both the table top and standing versions of the grill. I got the table top version and it is 191 square inches. Thats a pretty sizeable difference. On top of it being much smaller than expected, the heating element also does not heat at the spot close to the plug of the bowl, which is logical but that takes away cooking space too. Depending on what your cooking you can only one persons meal at a time. The standing version of the grill claims 19.6 inch diameter show in the picture. If that is true then that is 300 square inches, which would be over 50% more cooking area. Right now I am not a happy camper.

Very easy to put together. Like others said, the bolts and nuts are staged in their parts. It was packed well, and instructions are good. It's not a five-hundred-dollar Pit Boss. All in all, it's a nice little light duty grill. But the heating element is only 1/2 to 3/4 inch below the top of the cooking grate. Think about broiling something in your oven with the rack all the way at the top. Your food will not receive even cooking and burn directly over the element unless you sit and move it around. It had a top half grate that moves with the lid. I took it off because when the lid is closed it comes down on top of your food on the bottom grate. I'll not buy ANY other grill with the element this close to the grate.
