  • Great drive Great drive
Capacity: 4TB Style: Quantum (QX)
Drive works great, gets full SATA speeds (~500MB/s) with crystaldiskmark. Great price considering how expensive storage is right now.

  • Good Secondary drive Good Secondary drive
Capacity: 512GB Style: Advanced (AX2)
I bought this to use as a secondary drive for some more space as the NVMe drive on my gaming laptop runs Windows and is only 258gb. So I can't tell you how well it boots or runs windows. I won't post any CrystalDiskMark scores because what we really want is real world usage and nobody really gets those scores. Easy to install other than a few broken fingernails getting the back of the laptop off. Cmos disk error on reboot because I disconnected the battery during install but Windows fixed on reboot. Used the disk manager to initialize and allocate to drive D. I'm posting some screenshots. C is my Windows Hynix NMMe drive. D is the Teamgroup AX 512gb SSD drive and E is my microSD card. Copying 160gb from my SD card to the Teamgroup drive took about 40 minutes. Not bad considering it was coming from a flash that doesn't read so fast. The Desktop (C) to Data were a windows 10 and 11 ISO files. The D to New folder is an example copying a file from D to D, in which it has to read and write at the same time. So there is some examples of real-world use. Speeds will vary depending on if you're copying from another drive, flash drive or within the drive as you can see. Fastest speed I saw was 450 mbps. Overall, I'm more than happy with it. Considering I was getting write times in the 20s and 30s on my SD card this is super-fast. Would I have gotten faster speeds if I had bought a WD, Crucial or Samsung? Maybe. But not enough to justify the extra money. As far as longevity is concerned, let's just say that I've never had a drive fail on me since I began using computers in the 90s. So take this for whatever it's worth. Good deal at $28. ... show more

  • Great value! Perfect for gaming!
Capacity: 512GB Style: Advanced (AX2)
I wanted to wait a while to give this review as prolonged use would be the best way to test it. With that said, it's been a few months now and so far it has been great! My read and write speeds are fast and about what you would expect from any typical SSD. I moved all my games from my HDD to this new SSD and have noticed significantly faster loading times, and no stutter or lag whatsoever. I also bought an external case to use this in and can plug into my laptop. It fit snuggly in the case and works well for what I need it for, which is mostly as quick load storage for my Steam games. It runs silently and operating temps are maybe only a couple of degrees higher than my room temp. For the price, this is absolutely worth it! The performance/storage to value makes it an easy choice. ... show more

  • This SSD is now a commodity for laptops.
Capacity: 512GB Style: Advanced (AX2)
There is no way for me to test the lifetime of this SSD without a statistically significant number of samples of the product, and more than 10 years' time. It worked when I received it, and it is still working today. I loaded OSX onto it, and it is running an old MacBook Pro as I type. No matter what the theorists say about SSD RAM cells not drawing current when they are not in use, if you check the stats, bigger SSDs draw more stand-by current. I do not theoretically know why. Perhaps it is the additional address decoders and catching registers which are not the same technology as the memory cells. Or maybe it's just more leakage over a greater surface area. It's not a linearly increasing load versus RAM size by any means. A couple of TB seems to draw about double the current of this one and, hence, consume twice the power, and produce twice the heat. I don't want my laptop power supply being bogged down like that, or the machine heating up like that. But you do you. If you don't have a bunch of peripherals hanging off and powered by the laptop's USB bus like I do, you probably won't burn out your laptop with 2 or 4TB. But I'm an engineer, and I like to err on having a larger margin of safety. 512GB is way more than I can type in a lifetime, and is a plenty big enough glob of internal mass storage for me. And I'm sure you can compare prices without my help. ... show more

  • Affordable and Reliable SSD Upgrade
Capacity: 512GB x 2 pack Style: Advanced (AX2)
I recently purchased the TEAMGROUP AX2 512GB 2-Pack to upgrade two older PCs, and I'm quite satisfied with the results. Pros: Easy Installation: The drives were straightforward to install. I had them up and running in about 10 minutes. Amazon Performance Boost: Both PCs now boot up quickly, and applications load faster than before. Amazon Value for Money: For the price, getting two 512GB SSDs is a great deal. Cons: Not the Fastest: While there's a noticeable improvement over HDDs, these aren't the fastest SSDs available. Amazon Long-Term Reliability: I've only been using them for a few weeks, so I can't speak to their longevity yet. Overall, this SSD 2-pack is a solid choice if you're looking to breathe new life into older systems without breaking the bank. ... show more

  • So far so good on my Dell Optiplex 3050
Capacity: 512GB Style: Advanced (AX2)
Only had it 25 hours. So far so good on my dell optiplex 3050. Using it for storage...not boot. Using it on Linux Mint Cinnamon. It has a 3 yr warranty, so I wouldn't expect it to last more than 5 yrs with normal use. I'll update the review when it fails.

  • Great performance over original disk HDD. works great in my NVR
Capacity: 4TB Style: Quantum (QX)
So far it survived over a year in my camera system. I wanted a quiet solution to my NVR and this was in my budget at the time. Research said non SSDs last longer in NVR so I imagine this is overall a performance item. The speed to access recordings greatly increased and so far no issues yet. Was plug and play to the NVR but I end up letting the drive hang in tbe 3.5 inch compartment of the NVR that doesnt move ... show more
