  • Works well in my Steam Deck. Runs at top sppeds for system's specs.
Capacity: 2TB Style: MP44S
I bought the 2TB 2230 version. It's a Gen 4, but the Steam Deck only has a Gen 3 M.2 port so I can not reach Gen 4 speeds. I am though getting top speeds for a Gen 3 so I am happy. Temps so far stay around 46c to 55c which is fine for a SSD (they can safely go up to 70c). If I was using it in a regular PC, or Laptop though I would get a 3rd party heatsink (all Gen 4 & above need one regardless of brand) I'm using what the Steam Deck is equipped with which is good enough. I've bought other SSDs from Teamgroup in the past (eight to be exact), and all but one are still working fine, but their customer service was good at replacing the defective one quickly so at least they are okay with warranties unlike some other brands I dealt with. So far I am happy with the upgrade, and not wasting money on a more expensive newer gen NVME SSD just to not be able to reach it's full potential due to the Gen 3 port limitation. If anything goes wrong I will update the review. ... show more

  • A very reliable drive for portable handhelds.
Capacity: 2TB Style: MP44S
I bought to upgrade storage in my ROG Ally Z1e. This 2TB SSD fit perfect in the unit and has been working flawlessly for over 6 months. Temps have been solid and the storage is perfect for having most of my game library always on the device.

  • Works well on the Surface 9 Pro
Capacity: 2TB Style: MP44S
I had already upgraded my SP9 with a 1TB SSD when I bought it. But lately it was really bogging down and slow as molasses. I knew I needed to rebuild it and figured easier to just get a newer, faster 2TB drive to replace the older 1TB one. Easy enough to install, and the speed seems better than my previous one. Couldn't have been easier. ... show more

  • Works well, but bios may not detect it randomly until you update everything
Capacity: 2TB Style: MP44S
Works well in my rog ally extreme. One odd thing that happened is that it disappeared sometimes and bios couldn't detect it. I'm sure this was related to the controversial windows update recently and some sources found the blame with the phison controller, something about it being a pre beta or some pre-production controller that was never supposed to make it to market. Despite these issues, I just had to update everything possible I could, myasus updates, windows updates, bios firmware updates and anything I could find. After that the issue never came back. So it sounds like all these issues were software related since it was fixed through software. I got this drive because I thought it was a good value at least for 2230 size drives, since they are a bit overpriced. The drive performs well and I don't notice any shortcomings. I'd probably buy again, but the fact that bios didn't detect it for a bit is pretty disturbing. Luckily it came back after rebooting, usually after just 1 reboot, usually. Recommended unless you absolutely don't want to possibly or probably deal with the bios not detecting it for whatever reason that's still a mystery. ... show more

  • Great steam deck upgrade!
Capacity: 2TB Style: MP44S
Works great in my steam deck. The shield from the old one slid right onto it with no issues, and it instantly recognized it.

  • Great Spec; Easy install; a bit expensive
Capacity: 2TB Style: MP44S
Needed added storage for my new Microsoft Surface 9 Pro. Microsoft makes this relatively straight forward. The original software was easier to move using Casper software. Copied the original drive to the new drive and simply changed them out in the Surface via the available door on the back of the tablet. I have done a lot of these that were much more difficult mechanically. I then used disk management to spit the drive up in to a couple of partitions which is how I have been working for about 30 years. So far, the access is very fast, so I am very pleased. ... show more

  • Terrible SSD Quality & Zero Warranty Responsibility
Capacity: 2TB Style: MP44S
The SSD was extremely slow and applications crashed. After a few days, the drive was no longer recognized by the BIOS. Claiming the warranty was a nightmare. I had to contact their RMA team in Taiwan and ship the faulty SSD to an address in San Jose, CA on DEC/30/25. After almost 4 weeks and a couple of follow-ups, they replied on JAN/28/26 stating, “The RMA products you sent have been repaired,” and provided an Amazon tracking number. For a failed SSD, repairing it instead of replacing it is very disappointing. Most major brands replace defective SSDs rather than repair them, which raises concerns about reliability and quality control. Two weeks passed and I did not receive the package. When I emailed them, they said the tracking showed it was delivered on JAN/26/26. I checked my doorbell and front door cameras, and there were no deliveries on JAN/26/26. I was at home that day. I informed them on FEB/09/26 and asked for delivery photo proof. I then had to wait over two weeks until FEB/25/26 due to their holiday. Finally, they replied on FEB/25/26 that according to the tracking information, a status of “Delivered” is considered completed. ... show more
