  • Waterproof: Fabric has been treated with waterproof coating, good for rain and sun blocking at the same time, need to tilt the shade sail in low-high position to prevent polling water during installation.
  • installation: Waterproof shade sails need install at a 20-40 degree angle with maximum tension to allow runoff and face up. Otherwise the water will accumulate and not waterproof.
  • Waterproof: The shade sail is made from Polyester with PU coating, anti-light rain, advice to avoid use it in heavy rain and snowstorm.

This shade sails it absolutely great. It is so nice to enjoy the shade it provides. The quality is excellent and it is very strong. Easy to take down and put back up if you get a wind storm. I would guess it blocks 97% of the sun and it allows rainwater to flow through it. When it is wet, it will hang down a little, but that's okay with me. D-rings rusted in the first year. I bought three triangular sun shades the same year from a different manufacturer and the d-rings on those still haven’t rusted. Doesn’t affect function except I expect it increases wear-and-tear on the webbing loops they’re fastened to. Fabric and stitches are holding up ok, color still looks good, maybe a bit of fraying in the stitches. I tried using the ropes it came with, but ended up installing pulleys up high and cleats at eye level, ran long lines through those so it’s a cinch to tension it, drop part of it to clean off bird poop, or take it down in hurricane season.
