but I disagree with the description that it is equivalent to 120W incan. It is more like a 40W incan. at best. I installed this in our 9 ft. ceiling utility room of approx. 6.5'x16'. Marilyn L. said it perfectly "Light does not really illuminate the room well, especially the corners. Because of the design, most of the light is directed downward, and very little projects outward, making the ceiling and upper wall areas quite dimly lit." This does seem to be very well made and was perfectly easy to install, but I need a brighter light for our utility room. Had they not compared this to 120W incan. This is a superb unit. Very light, very slim, and attractive. Completely changes the atmosphere of any area in which it is installed. It is truly a “warm” light. Unless you want an LED fixture for a workshop, DO NOT get anything labeled “daylight”. These are more on the “Bright light” spectrum and very “hard”. The wire connectors are a good idea but the wires that come out of the ceiling are too thick for them and will not be held by these connectors. These wires WILL come out, although the wires of the unit itself will be held. My fix was to wrap around some electrical tape to hold it in place. Done. No big deal. The plastic attachment that affixes to the ceiling is well designed and sturdy. Easy to install with included Phillips screws, if you want to replace your existing flat heads. I did. One other thing I found unusual; a split second delay to full power when the switch is turned on. Also no big deal. Even with these slight imperfections, I still think it’s worth rating 5 stars. ... show more

The Taloya flush mount ceiling light is great. If you are replacing an existing ceiling light fixture your electrical wires probably came through the ceiling in a standard round or square metal electrical box. The Taloya light fixture comes with a round ceiling adapter that you screw onto the existing ceiling electrical box. Then the light fixture twist locks into place on the new ceiling adapter. Taloya supplies you with 2 spring connector terminal blocks to connect your black and white wires. I like these connectors over wire nuts. There were no wire nuts included as indicated in the ad. The 18W Warm White 3000k LED is equivalent to a 75W Incandescent light bulb; which is plenty of light above my kitchen sink area. I highly recommend this LED light fixture to anyone. ... show more

I have been replacing all the builder light fixtures in my home. I finally finished all the main lighting and that left the closets. The house has several large closets and those needed larger fixtures. Then there were eight smaller closets that came with a very cheap single bulb fixture. They were dark even with the 60W incandescent bulb turned on! I first just stuck brighter LED bulbs in but that only helped a little because it’s hard to find powerful LED bulbs that can be placed in an enclosed fixture. Some folks who have switched to LED bulbs don’t realize that enclosed fixtures require a bulb made specifically for that application. I decided to try these to get more bright white light. They are not particularly stylish, but for this application, that wasn’t too important. They do look better than the builder fixture which was a small white glass globe attached to a horrible looking metal ring. They are incredibly simple to install. Attach the plate to the junction box, attach the wires and screw the fixture into place. They put out much more light than I expected. I can now see what’s in the closets. I would say the only downside is if the LEDs burn out, you cannot replace them. If they last as long as they state, that should not be an issue. ... show more

A little challenging to install, the low profile combined with short wiring makes putting it up way more trouble than a conventional light fixture. Especially when the installer (me) has thick hands that are arthritic and therefore cramp easily and quickly in awkward positions. Once installed it's a nice light. The low profile that contributed to the hard installation is a really nice feature once the light is up. It's almost flush with the ceiling. The light color is excellent and the amount of light that it puts out is impressive. LEDs have come a long ways in the past few years, both in terms of the light output in lumens, and in the size of the fixtures. I have been replacing glass "boob" fixtures in my current home, and this was the third different type of this type of flat mounting LED fixture that I have bought from Amazon. It is the best. It was simple to install (and the installation accessories introduced me to the world of click in wire connectors). But the thing that really set this apart was the wonderful diffused sun-like light that this lamp added to our laundry area. As opposed to the other fixtures, the light seems like it is being produced by the whole fixture instead of coming from poorly covered point source LEDs. It is wonderful, and reminds me of solar-tubes that I had installed in a previous house. No sharp unpleasant sharp shadows here, just a nice bright light that covers the whole area. ... show more

I like the simple yet futuristic look of these lights, they are very easy to install if you know what you are doing and if the light gang box was setup right. Some people may not like the brightness but there's settings, very bright white, midrange yellow light and low range yellow light.
