I was a little unsure because there were no reviews and I took a chance because this had the exact specs I wanted. The installation was very easy. I just had to buy the mounting metal box it attaches to for the ceiling, which is pretty cheap and easy to find. The remote control works great. I am glad I don't have to install a separate dimmer switch. The lumen is strong and the color ranges from 3000k to daylight like it says. The dimmer works too.     • Visibility and easy change on illumination
I have bought 3 of these products because of their adaptability, change of light intensity and usefulness to any person walking day or night with this LED light set. Sincerely I love it also because of the savings of electricity with them. Previously, I had ceiling lamps on my house halls and main entrance; they were bulky, heavy and each one included 2 sets of lamps 40w each for a total of 80 watts. With this new sets each consumes a maximum of 20-25 watts, if used all the time. Great savings. Now, why I rated 3? In installation is not done like they show in YOUTube "all the time". Old houses wiring installation use #12AWG wire size, solid copper wire (3.3 m/m^2); which is very large section area and hard to work with. Houses built about 30 years ago you will find this situation where a #12 solid copper wire is used and in this case you have to wire to the #22AWG LED stranded wire. Using the wire nut or connector it will connect both wiring , but in my opinion as an electrical engineer not a 100% solid connection; if an earthquake develops, it might loosen the connection. What I did was I used an interwire #18AWG between the #12AWG stranded wire and the #22AWG LED wires , using soldered connection and my short piece of #18AWG wire end I connected to #12 AWG making a solid connection. The LED set is plastic so no problem with grounding, but I connected LED ground to the junction box screw, where also the house wiring ground is connected. That is it. As I wrote this is my personal solution only because in California earthquakes are common and at any shakes things get loose end. Nothing against this seller. I will buy again. It’s probably not what they intended, but it worked exactly as I imagined. I cut the middle out to fit around the beauty ring of the ceiling fan. I don’t recommend for primary lighting with the fan on though, talk about getting dizzy!

    • Best LED light in the house
I picked up 3 different brands/styles of these flat LED lights and this one is my favorite, by far! First of all, the amount of variation is great - I generally prefer the "daylight" hue (about 5000k) but if you want a warmer feel at night, you can just switch to the "warm-white" and dim it down a bit. I also really like how bright these are - I had replaced two ceiling fans that had opaque glass over the light bulbs and the amount of light produced by those things was horrible. I picked up one of these just to try it out and liked it so much, I bought another one! Now it's actually bright enough for the kids to play with their toys when it gets dark and not lose little Lego pieces or whatever. Other things that sets this one apart from the other two I tried out - this one actually has a grounding wire. Why the others don't, I don't know but I feel safer with my light fixtures being grounded. And then there's the mounting bracket. The others you have to twist the light onto a bracket - this one has a cool push-button bracket so it's super easy to pop on and off if needed. Just screw the bracket to the light receptacle box...thing - and then the light just snapped onto the bracket. To take it down, if you ever need to, you just push the little buttons on each side and it releases. Super easy, super quick. The amount of head-space we gained by going from a ceiling fan to a flush mount like this has been awesome, and the added brightness makes it feel like a whole new room. It's been the easiest "upgrade" I've done so far. ... show more
