Easy to use the bulb adapter to just screw it right in! The sound is great! The lights work great too! The only thing is that Alexa doesn’t work with it even when it says connected. I thought you could tell the light to play music but it won’t.

When i first added this light/speaker combo, i was loving the light features. Its bright, and the multiple colors are crisp, and with many different options. However i was underwhelmed with the speaker sound & volume. Then i discovered my iPhone Bluetooth settings has individual properties per device called 'device type' and if you set this device to "Speaker" it is WAY louder and sounds much better. Post Update Tried to just hard wire the unit in and went through the reset instructions in the app. A complete waste of time. Went through the process multiple time, trying ever conceivable way and could not get the unit reset. Additionally, the app tells you to look at an LED that should be blinking; however, there is no external LED and the light itself doesn't blink from what I can tell. Previous Post (1). Light socket adapt broke seconds into assembly with the red wire coming dislodged and no way to reconnect it. (2). Was not able to get the device to reset after I changed my installation to connecting by wire (bypassing broken light socket connector). (3). App wouldn't sync with device. Just, no good from the get go. ... show more

We needed a light for our walk in shower. Color changing and speaker capabilities were a bonus. For the price, this light does a good job. It’s not super bright but it provides enough light for our shower. The sound quality could be a little better, but overall, this is a good light and speaker!

    • Not smart, just Bluetooth and remote.

The good: - it’s bright. - Bluetooth connects easily. - The remote works well and feels solid. The bad: - the sound quality leaves much to be desired. It has public restroom muzak vibes. No bass, very shallow sound. Good enough for some music or podcasts to shower to tho. - I tried several times and couldn’t get it to connect to their own proprietary app, which is required before I can connect it to Alexa. So that’s 1/2 the reason I bought it completely failed. No voice control, no creating morning wake up routines with it. - wiring it in was super sketchy. No ground wire. No wire nuts provided. They only left about 1/4” wire exposed, so I needed to strip back the wires to use the wire nuts I had. The wire just ripped out of the clip instead. Which revealed they had crimped it to about 1/8” of the wire, so that makes sense. I ended up destroying the light bulb adapter to get a second shot at it and made it work. - for some reason their adapter plate doesn’t fit a standard junction box? Which is wild considering how long the “adjustable” holes are. Maybe it’s just because my home was built in the 80’s? Who knows. I rigged that up to work too. Long story short: it only does half of what it claims to do and the install is super sketchy but I’m too lazy to take it down and return it. ... show more
