This was easy to assemble. Took me about 1 hour to get it all together once I read the great directions. Instructions are good and everything was there needed to assemble this. I like the angled plate in the front so it kicks your ball back to you. Very nice. Has a crank handle to adjust it and also you can remove the middle piece for even shorter heights. The hoop needs to be stronger, but it works fine. I might be used to the ones at the gym too much. Other than that it is easy to adjust and it is pretty hefty in weight so you may need a helper to get this up! I recommend this product.

This basketball hoop is made very well. It's easy to adjust with the crank handle from 10 feet to 8 feet. To go even lower, you remove the center of the three main tunes. This means that the hoop can be used for a variety of needs, from smaller kids to adults. The wheels make it easy to move, though if you fill it with water instead of sand, like me, some might leak out of the air holes when its partially tipped over to roll. Assembly notes: all in all this was easy to assemble. The directions are very explicit and include detailed graphics and exploded diagrams of the larger bolts that have multiple washers and spacers on them. I was very impressed with the hardware setup. Instead of blister packs or individual bags of washers, nuts, etc, each bolt has its associated hardware already threaded onto it! This was a huge time saver. The larger bolts that hold the backboard onto the frame have 2 washers, 2 spacers, and a nut on each. To boot, some of the spacers are different sizes. Having them all together on their bolts made for a really organized build. Just be careful when you assemble those large bolts, and be sure to use the correct sized spacers in the correct steps (spacers are labeled). My only hiccup (shown in photo 2) was this last bolt. Yes, the very last bolt had a rounded head instead of a Hex. I'm not sure what happened, but it was a bit annoying to get to the end, only to run into this issue. I ended up using a pair of slip joint pliers to hold onto it with tightening the nut. A pair of rounded vise grips would have worked better, but I couldn't find mine. Hopefully this was just a random error, and not all kits include this, but if you get one, it is doable with some elbow grease. I put this together myself with part of a wooden deck to cantilever over. I would suggest 2 people (as do the directions) to make it easier, but it's not strictly necessary if you can lift a little weight. Thin metal wrenches and a Phillips screwdriver were included, but I used my own tools. A ratchet opem end or adjustable wrench will save time here. Total build time was about an hour and a half. Recommended for sure!

I spent roughly 4 hours assembling this. From parts that had a difficult time snapping together, having assembled it wrong in some places, and the necessity of two people helping put it together... but it was absolutely worth it! The backboard is large and seems standard for a basketball goal, the hoop size is perfect for regulation sized balls and smaller versions of basketballs, and it's adjustable size blew me away! There are three posts which when assembled can take this up to 10 feet; however, we wanted it for underneath our 12 foot deck, allowing for only 8-9 feet of clearance (due to the backboard size). We can only raise the hoop up to about 6 1/2 feet but since it was assembled with smaller children in mind, I had expected it to drop even further as the posting claimed. It did drop down far enough for our 4 and 5 year olds to play with it; by removing a single post, the height range fell more in our wheelhouse of what we needed. Absolutely perfect! I ran outside the following morning after we were slammed by a massive storm with 40 mph gusts, which took rearranged half my deck furniture, and checked on the basketball goal. It seemingly hadn't moved a single inch, so it's safe to say that this thing is pretty stable! I am planning to add sandbags to the back for additional stability, but am pleasantly surprised it's still standing. If I need a basketball goal with great height range and stability I'll probably get this exact one. It is placed exactly where I want it and performs exactly as I wanted it to. 5/5 Note: I suggest having someone help you with assembly. It is heavy and at times will require two people; however, you may also find that wooden sawhorses help. It took me a long time because I misunderstood the instructions.

I wanted a new freestanding basketball setup for our yard. I wanted a system that was easy to adjust the height depending on who is playing and easy to move to where we want to play whether it be in the driveway or street. This set provides both. I built it with my 13 year old letting him take the lead. I provided some technical support. It took us about 2 hours to build it and it would have taken longer without both of us. It is a two person job. Once it was set up we added water to the base to create stability. We also placed a couple of heavy weights on the base as it gets pretty windy here.. I like that it is mobile and easy to adjust the height with a convenient telescoping adjustment tool. Based on the way you set it up It will adjust from 5'3" to 7'3" or 8' to 10'. This is based on the pole configuration you use when you build it. I l also like that it has the rebound baffle on the base which will kick back the ball to you on some shots. It comes with a 44' or 48" backboard. Go for the larger one. Once you put it up in the air it looks smaller. We are both happy with this setup and it should last for many years.
