Not for when it's real cold or windy. A nice looking heater. The glass tube the flame is in is very sturdy. We always use it on high for the warmth however it doesn't put out a lot of heat. I bought the heat reflector attachment huge difference in heat. No lost heat out the back side. It's taller than expected we have put it on a lower table facing us. Our outdoor furniture is bar height though. Probably better on a normal height table. All in all very happy since putting the reflector on. Beautiful heater.
