The SWEETCRISPY Patio Umbrella was a no-frills economic choice for someone like me on a retirement budget and was notable for the following. • The alloy steel ribs of the umbrella were sturdy. • The crank handle was simple to operate. • The tilt mechanism was functional. • The fabric was thin yet reflected the sun rays away from the patio surface. • The pole installed into a standard base. • Had sufficiently placed air vents. • The absence of a tie to wrap the canopy, when not in use, was an unexpected omission, though. I experience windy conditions in my backyard and if this canopy is upright and not securely closed, the gusts of wind will pick this umbrella up from its base and toss the umbrella across the yard. Overall, the SWEETCRISPY Patio Umbrella will accommodate my patio usage this spring and fall, added some color to my deck, and I simply used a fragment of rope to safeguard against the loss of the umbrella during windy conditions.

Just what my patio needed! I love the bright red color. It adds a fun pop of color to my patio. I ordered this to replace an older umbrella that was damaged. I really like the tilting feature on this umbrella. I've found myself using it more than I expected. It's nice to be able to adjust the shade level when the sun is low is the sky. Overall, this umbrella is a decent, sturdy umbrella for it's price point. There are probably higher quality umbrellas out there, but I personally prefer ordering a budget friendly umbrella that I can replace more frequently. I have ordered many umbrellas at different price ranges and have yet to find a brightly colored one that doesn't fade eventually from sun exposure. Pleased with my order.

I have a pretty expensive patio umbrella that is this size, and if I compare the two this one comes up short. The material is thinner, there were stray threads on several seams, and there is no piece to contain it (fabric and velcro) when it's put down. (There are also lights on the expensive one, but that's not a fair comparison since this one doesn't have them.) That said, this umbrella is a pretty decent value. It's quite lightweight, the tilting mechanism works well, it's easy to raise and lower, and it does the primary objective of a patio umbrella: provide shade all for a good price. I got a small bungee cord to keep it from flapping around when it's lowered and it does the job. It's a good option for a good price.
