    • Works - but laughably not as well as the graphic suggests
I was skeptical, but overall this actually helps. It most certainly does NOT increase the heating distance like their illustration suggests (and they should be ashamed to even suggest that), but it DOES in fact redirect the heat. We can keep our Garden Sun patio heater turned down 15-20% less and get the same heat - but directed. It’s cheap thin metal, but it needs to be in order to curve. Whether or not it rusts out for a Michigan summer remains to be seen. We’ll see what happens. *UPDATE 9/15/2020: so far, it's spent 1 summer outside in the exposed elements and has held up well - no rust. Will remove it when the patio heater is covered for the deep winter months and store it in the basement, but figured I'd update my review to report its condition after a summer outside in the rain. ... show more

    • Works great! As advertised
1st off this unit does exactly what it claims to do! It effectively redirects and improves the amount of heat delivered by your traditional patio heaters. I previously used the patio heaters for the past 5 years and in order to be comfortable we always had to run them on "full" or near "full" power - after installing these reflectors "full" power is TOO HOT and you MUST turn down the setting or risk personally overheating (at lease according to my wife). So mission accomplished these are super additions if you want some more control for your directed heating needs and it does allow you to run the heater at a reduced level to achieve comfortable outdoor heat. One warning - install the unit on the opposite side of the heater controls - I installed my reflector 90 digress off rom the patio controls and melted the plastic control knob on the heater controls - the amount of heat redirected was powerful enough to melt plastic - so I recommend installing the reflector 180 degrees opposite of the heater controls to avoid melting the control knob. I'd give these a 5 star rating if they were more reasonably priced. At their current price point they are a bit pricy for the amount of material involved in the product. but I guess you'll make it up in fuel savings pretty quickly. ... show more

At first I liked this addition to my heater. As advertised, it directs the heat where you want it instead if having it spread all around the heater. However, it also acts as a wind catcher. A good storm and the heater was pushed over as the air caught in the big metal sail.

    • Fool me once...shame on you!
It is nice that the return period was extended after Christmas until January 31. What was presumably in the small print...I still can't find it...is that there is a 40% restocking charge. We decided the patio heater we bought did not meet our needs; thus we don't need the reflector. Upon asking for a return label, we got a laughable note from the seller apologizing for the "inconvenience" but wanted us to know there is the 40% restocking fee. I have no idea whether the product is good, bad or terrible. I never used it. Shocked at the return policy. Fool me twice, shame on me. Won't happen. ... show more

Plain and simple- it re directs the heat and is ‘warm to the touch’ on the back side. - Meaning, you could put the heater next to a fence or wall and it wouldn’t melt your siding. - Simple install, literally 3 thumbscrews. (It took longer to remove shrink wrap, than to instal) - I was able to turn my heater to LOW, which is a welcome change! One side note: they were out of stock when I originally went to purchase. So I sent the company an email. They responded that night, and said they were now back in stock. - great customer attention! 100% satisfied with SweetHeat purchase! :) ... show more

It does EXACTLY what it says it will; it focuses the heat from your patio heater (uh, not included) --so that you're not wasting 50% of the heat generation. We never turn our heaters up to full anymore; it would be uncomfortable hot lol. My family loves this, our friends, sitting a socially distanced 6 feet from us with carry out love it--I think I've accidentally sold 4 of these so far this spring ---Watch the bottom corners --they could catch an unwary pedestrian walking by; watch the wind catching features---but totally endorse. ... show more

I’m impressed. I was a bit on the fence about buying this being that there are no reviews, but after using it a few times it was definitely a great buy. It made a night and day difference for my heater. Feels like a summer night. Also looks cool with an added glow. Packaging arrived a bit damaged (looked like a fork lift lashed the box) but when I opened it the reflector itself was fine. Lots of packing material to thank for that. ... show more

    • Worth it...
This is a very nice addition to my patio heater. My heater is in a corner and people sit forward of the heater on a couch, so the reflector works perfectly in my situation. Definitely improves the concentration of heat.
