Description

The Swagman | QUAD 2+2 rack provides the versatility to transport 2 bikes or attach the add-on to travel with 4 bikes of up to 45lbs each. Simple to assemble and easy to use, the padded foam hooks utilizing quick release triggers, ratchet down on the frame and lock in place for security. This go to rack is built to accommodate most frame sizes and styles with adjustable wheel trays to fit a variety of wheel bases. The QUAD 2+2 comes with locking hooks, locking hitch pin and metal wheel trays to support your ride. Fat Bike Tire trays (64694) can be added for those with tires up to 5" wide.

Been using this rack for about 3 months now, and I really like it. It is VERY well built (with everything being metal). It's not light, but it's easy to get the bikes on and it has locking everything, so you know your bikes and the rack will be secure. I'm able to get my large 29er MTB on the rack at the same time as my daughter's 20in bike. It's very adaptable. I love that I can just keep two racks on there (and it folds up pretty easily when not in use) or add the extender to fit two more bikes. The design is excellent. The directions are terrible. The "square tubes" that slide into each other had burrs on the inside of the bolt holes that we're drilled during manufacture, preventing assembly of the rack. I used a hand file on the inside of the tubes to remove the burrs. Then it worked as designed. NOTE: Be aware there are TWO bolts that must be removed to convert from 4 bikes to 2, and that one them is "hidden" on the bottom. Great bike rack. Highly recommend it for those that can have patience getting started with it. For the price, the manufacturer should provide appropriate directions and clean up the burrs. ... show more

It is convenient and secure never worry about bikes being stolen. The bikes ride smoothly on the rack, no movement. The rack to the car is very secure without movement as well. Our son bought it first and was happy with it. His was a 2-bike rack. We went with the 4-bike rack and are very pleased. Loading is easy, more so with just the 2 but love to have the ability to take 4. ... show more

manageable solo but easier with 2+ people to put on and off. it is solid and the bikes feel secure with no motion. The bottom right angle can scrape on ground when going over bumps (mine's a bit scratched on the bottom not visible part).

    • I installed the threaded locking bolt as directed and the ...
I installed the threaded locking bolt as directed and the bolt snapped off. It took me 1.5 hours to drill out the bolt. Now it has to be completely drilled through and have to use a regular hitch pin! The threaded bolt did not appear to be hardened steel!
