  • Heavy Duty Bike Rack for eBikes: Used on My Fifth Wheel
Color: Black Style: Bike Rack
I have travelled with this bike rack on the back of my fifth wheel for several months. It has worked flawlessly. My eBikes are secured and have very limited movement going down the highway. Since my hitch doesn't protrude from the back of my fifth wheel like an automobile, I have to turn the handle bars on the bike closest to the back of the fifth wheel 90 degrees to be sure it doesn't collide with the trailer. Based on my recommendation, my friend purchased the same hitch that he uses on his pickup truck. He doesn't have to turn the handle bars. ... show more

  • Solid built with security too
Color: Black Style: Bike Rack
We've been looking for a dependable, durable and RV rated bike rack for a reasonable price .. after reading several reviews and purchasing the swagman ..and taking it all around Minnesota ...I can honestly say I'm impressed but the quality and ease of assembly along with the security locks on the lock bars for the individual bikes .. I doubt I will ever need to buy this again ... But if all swagman products are this well manufactured I will definitely look to their products before buying anything in the we might need for our future bike needs. ... show more

  • Very solid e bike rack
Color: Black Style: Bike Rack
Bought this much more beefy rack when we bought two 49 pound (each) e bikes. Had never heard of Swagman, but based on appearance and excellent customer ratings/reviews, bought it. Instructions are not great as they contradict illustrations, so be sure to look closely at both. Otherwise, not difficult to assemble. Nice attachment system to trailer hitch in that there is a screw in pin, that keeps rack from vibrating or shifting. Tie down system is solid feeling and bikes did not move. Also used on my much lighter Gian hybrid bike and worked perfect. Inverted "U", shaped locking brackets work well. Use a heavier lock if leaving bikes unattended or overnight as a good criminal could break them, but solid for holding in place while driving or leaving in a very visible area. I put the shorter locking bracket below the longer one to secure my wives step through frame and it worked fine and I used the other longer one to secure my traditional frame. Flat black powder coat finish looks and feels pretty hearty. I'd buy again and recommend! ... show more

  • Sturdy for E-Bike on RV
Color: Black Style: Bike Rack
Seems very sturdy compared to the Chinook, which I also own and like a lot for convenience purposes. I got this new rack for my RV trailer but have used it so far on my truck. This model is better for back of an RV, and much less movement while carrying E-Bike on the back of a pickup truck. However, the pin to fold it up against the vehicle is super hard to get in and out. I need to use a hammer. Hopefully it will loosen up. It's also heavier, and sits higher than the Chinook, so it's a bit harder to lift my bike up onto it. I don't use a ramp, which I think would be even more difficult. I use the wheel cups facing inward to hold the bike in. I like this better/safer than facing them outward. That way the bike sits in the cups almost without holding on, so its easier to bring down the hook and fasten it onto the bike. The wheel cups are huge - very wide. You could definitely fit fat tires in them. However, my E-Bike does not have giant fat tires, so I would rather have narrower wheel cups to hold the tires more snugly. For the designers, it would be nice if we could choose which cups we want - regular or wide. I used 2 of the narrower ones from my Chinook , and 2 of the fat tires ones, in case I need to transport a friend's fat tire bike. The rack does not tip outward away from the trunk or tailgate, and when folded up against the vehicle it sits higher than the Chinook. So I cannot open my truck tailgate all the way when this rack is on, either folded up or down. So that's a bummer. What I like best is the 2" square bar that goes from the hitch receiver to the rack. This is what makes it so stable. The Chinook has a 1 -1/4" bar with a 2" receiver adapter so you can use it on either size hitch receiver, but this makes it sway and wobble more. ... show more

  • Very Robust
Color: Black Style: Bike Rack
The rack was very well packed. All the hardware was properly secured. Other than some errors and omissions on the instructions, it was very easy to assemble. The locking pin really locks it in with my travel trailers receiver. And when you replace the snap pin with the supplied RV bolt and nut, it's rock solid. My wife's 60 pound e-bike fits nicely along with my gravel bike. One thing to note. On my kit, there was a reinforcing gusset that I don't see in earlier assemblies. If I had a rack that was not equipped with this, I'd contact Swagman to see if it's necessary to retrofit older racks. The reinforcing gusset kit is p/n 64714 and comes with the needed hardware and supplemental instructions. But that p/n is not listed on the Swagman website. It's always concerning when assembling a product to have left over hardware. In this case, they included two different threaded pins for the receiver/hitch shaft interface. On one of them, you can attach a lock that is keyed the same as the hooks on the rack. The other pin simply screws in place and is held with a clip. It would have been nice if the instructions mentioned this. Overall, it appears to be a robust rack and I hope to get many years of use. ... show more

  • Great e-bike carrier for fifth wheel camper.
Color: Black Style: Bike Rack
We hauled to electric bikes across country on the back of a Montana fifth wheel and this rack performed flawlessly. No issues with stability and all metal parts remained intact.

  • Well worth the money!
Color: Black Style: Bike Rack
We bought this to carry our two Lectric bikes on the back of our fifth wheel trailer. We have driven on some really horrendous roads worrying about the trailer and the bikes. But the bikes are sitting just as tight as the day we loaded them up. This is a super stable and strong rack. Would highly recommend. ... show more
