  • Amazing Frame.
Style: Adjustable Base Only Size: King
I was one of those people that always said what the heck does anyone need one of those adjustable beds for. Then we went on vacation and stayed at an AIRBNB that had one. After eight days sleeping on one, I no longer had to ask why, I knew. When we got back home, I did my research and looked at all of the options available for a King Size bed, as we already have a KING Bed, with a sleigh frame that sits on a platform. After reviewing the different companies that provided the adjustable frames and all of the options within each company, I finally settled on the Sven & Son Platinum King Adjustable Bed Frame. It had some unique features that many others did not have, like head tilt, which has eliminated neck pain for us, Wall hugging, along the headboard, 30 min. massage timer and Lumbar support to name a few. In their listing they list a King Bed and a Split King bed. There is no single king frame, (And thank your lucky stars), each piece of the split king weighs about 175lbs. With that said, a King bed will always come as a Split King. The deliver of the bed came via freight delivery with sidewalk drop off. And the bed came is two separate boxes each holding an TwinXL Frame, complete with power supply legs and remote. So if at some point you wanted to use the frame as a split King you can. Each remote comes paired with the bed it came with, and you simply need to take one of them and also pair it to the other frame so that both sides work in tandem. When they tell you, you need two people, they really do mean you need two people. The weight of the frames isn’t ridiculously heavy, but it is awkward. I would recommend that you have either bungie cords or straps on hand if you open the box and move just the frame like I did from the street to it’s desired location, as the adjustable parts of the bed will move without power. I found the ratchet straps worked best. Once I got both sides up to where they needed to be, setup took no time at all. We put our 14 inch Hybrid King mattress on the frame, installed the mattress holders, put the side rails and footboard back in place, and it was all done. Took us about an hour, because we had to breakdown the old platform before bringing the new frames up. The bed functions as outlined, the headboard hugging feature of the premium frame, keeps the bed in the same area so you don’t need to move your nightstand to accommodate the bed moving to a sitting position. The lumbar option puts the right amount of pressure on your lower back. The preset settings on the remote are comfortable and the massage with three modes and three intensity levels are fantastic, and the 30 min. timer is nice. The under-bed lights are neat, but I will say the sleigh frame we have blocks most of the light, but still provides a nice glow to see where your walking. It has only been a few days using the Sven and Son frame but so far, we love the frame. ... show more

  • Yep, it's great!
Style: Adjustable Base Only Size: Queen
I bought this adjustable bed frame because of the good reviews, and because it looked like it was well built with all the extra bells and whistles, like lumbar and head tilt. I was not disappointed, it has all of that. It has dual USB ports on each side of the bed, located under the bed. I just leave the USB cord permanently plugged in. It is not convenient to access those ports. One tip here... there is a USB cover over the USB box cover. Not sure why it's this way, but that out cover comes off. And it needs to, because they sandwiched a plastic wrap cover over the main box, and covered it with the cover. You can't really plug in a USB cable until you deal with that. The outer cover just sort of pops off with careful pulling, and then you can take the whole plastic sheet off and snap the outer cover back on. The massage feature only amounts to a single vibrator at each end of the bed. I like it. The wife finds it worthless, or doesn't like it. It's no shiatsu, that's for sure. But I find it pleasant. The motors are not loud. I don't find them one bit noisier than you would expect. Only somebody really picky is going to fault the noise. The LED light is one single LED per side, and is not very bright. Probably good to use as a nightlight when getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom, and not stubbing your toe on the way back to bed. Now here is the important part. We bought a Queen, so it came is one big piece. No assembly, other than screwing on the 4 legs. And it is a tank! I think it weighs 235 lbs. We had to get a male friend to come over and help carry it. So figure on two male adults to carry this thing, and no less. It came in one box the size of a queen mattress, and the box was filthy with dust on the outside. So we left the box on the porch, and struggled to get the thing inside and thru doorways with 2 middle aged guys making it happen without it totally killing us. The frame looks really well built. The bed says it's made in China. It fit perfectly inside the footprint of my nice Queen oak bed. I just disassembled the bed (you're NOT going to be lifting this thing over the bed rails), removed the old bedframe entirely, assembled the legs, and then reassembled the oak bed around it. The movement of the adjustable bed is not problematic. It stays within the shape of the mattress. The remote is easy to use, although I don't believe it lights up. So far, we've had it for over a month now, and I am completely happy with this bed frame. We put a Purple 3 mattress on it, and the jury is still out on that part. Every time you move, you're not going to like moving this bed. It's 235 lbs of folding quality. A bit awkward to carry, and not light. If you're on the fence, go for it. ... show more

  • WOW! All the features we wanted, and service beyond *all* expectations.
Style: Adjustable Base Only Size: Split King
I'll start with the product - the quality is excellent, it works perfect, it has every feature you could want in an adjustable base. The pillow tilt is subtle, but adequate, the feet and head elevation is crazy - I feel like I could nearly fold myself in half if I wanted to. Synchronizing the remotes was relatively easy (King comes as two independent twins, so hubby and I wanted to sync up) and the bases are very sturdy. They fit perfectly inside our existing bed frame. The wall-hugging feature was critical for us, it keeps my nightstand, nightcap, and electronics within reach even when I'm well inclined for TV watching. I watched several review videos, read multiple reviews, visited multiple retailers to test drive bases (we're obsessive about quality and features) and I feel 100% confident we purchased the best base available. As if that's not enough - the service was outstanding. Let me repeat - OUTSTANDING! We purchased white-glove delivery service. As I understood from reading other Amazon reviews, this service did everything short of actually making your bed and tucking you in. The third party company in my region that SleepGeeks hired to deliver my white glove experience didn't live up to the expectation of SleepGeeks. I called them and within minutes they were on the phone trying to find someone to come to my home and make it right. They went so far above and beyond to make it right. Each time I called I talked to a real person who knew exactly what was going on. I felt like there was an entire team of people at SleepGeeks working hard to ensure that I slept in my bed, on my new adjustable bases that night come hell or high-water. Thanks to SleepGeeks, I slept like a baby that night, and have every night since. Needless to say, I highly, highly recommend this product and the team of service providers who stand proudly behind it. Thank you SleepGeeks! ... show more

  • Updated review:
Style: Adjustable Base Only Size: Split King
Updated review: I've added stars my my previous 1 star review after hearing back from Sleep Geekz. My husband was able to talk with a representative from Sleep Geekz who did a fantastic job helping us out with our concerns. From what he was told, the L&P beds are 20 inches from foot to first bend, the Sven&Son (even with the L&P frame) is 16 inches. That 4 inches makes all the difference in where the bed grabs and supports the legs. Our second concern came when I slipped between beds while adjusting my pillows/the sheets. I or someone else in the room must have bumped the cord, or in some way interrupted the power for a split second causing the bed next to me(split king) to begin to flatten. I barely squeezed out before it went completely flat. Once it begins to flatten, no amount of pressing buttons will stop it. This bed will stop if there is a significant blockage, but small pets, or small people ;) are risking a serious squishing from this automatic function. We're changing to a safer model were this not so safe safety feature can be disabled and won't automatically return to flat when the electricity is interrupted. Original review: I was so looking forward to this bed. I've owned a Leggett & Platt adjustable base before so I know how awesome they are. (This uses their base) This has awesome features like the lumbar support, head tilt, all the goodies. Except!!! if you are below average height, it is horrendously uncomfortable. The space in the middle is way too wide making the foot lift completely unusable for me. Only my feet are in contact with the bed, my knees are completely unsupported. I have EDS, which means my joints easily slip out of place. This bed is a nightmare for over extending my fragile joints. The pillow tilt has the same problem. Only the tip of my head tilts, causing an awkward angle once again. So, the great features that I paid so much extra for are unusable. I am far from pleased. We have tried to contact the company to beg for some sort of a trade assuming maybe the queen would be a better fit for my size or if they have a standard twin, but have been unable to get through...their system just hangs up when you try to leave a message. They really should have a height recommendation when selling these beds online. It would have saved me from making a wasteful purchase and several dislocations. I've owned a high end Leggett & Platt and a mid range generic type adjustable base. Both of those were awesome, I had no issues with my smaller stature causing discomfort. Leggett & Platt and the generic company were also both very easy to contact with any issues. I'm amazed by this company's utter indifference to customer satisfaction. ... show more

  • Arrived much earlier than expected...
Style: Adjustable Base Only Size: Queen
Just received the bed yesterday. The bed itself is uber substantial- could probably survive a tornado without moving an inch. It seems to work fine- no issues that I’m aware of and I’m satisfied with that aspect. UPDATE: I'm LOVING THE BED, by the way. SO GLAD I purchase a model with head-tilt; it is EVERYTHING. Now let’s talk DELIVERY- absolutely terrible. I paid an extra $249 for the (optional) white glove service. This thing weighs a ton (I purchased the queen) and very difficult to maneuver- it cannot be handled by 1 person. So in that respect it was worth every penny. The bed itself had a tear in the upholstery when it arrived, this was revealed before they even took the bed off the truck. I could see the cardboard box had suffered damage at some point during transit but at what point is anyone’s guess. It was a small tear and I decided I could live with it- not worth it to cause a stink over though would have been well within my right to and suspect some customers probably would have. But from that point on, things got worse. The manner in which the delivery guys handled the bed was not to be believed. How the bed managed to make it to my bedroom in 1 piece is something short of a miracle. The delivery guys complained from the moment they arrived until the time they left. They unboxed the bed outside, dropped the bed several times trying to get it on the dolly, and scraped the base on the concrete. I caught them attempting to slide the base with the upholstery side down sitting directly on pavement twice and had to intervene and ask what the &@$? they were doing. They brought no blankets to wrap around the bed for protection, and looked at me like I was from another planet when I told them to elevator had to be protected from damage with pads- as well as the walls in my home. Of course they brought nothing, and I supplied these instead. “White glove service” my rear end. I would not expect this level of service with Free Delivery, much less for the additional $249 I paid. I contacted BedGeeks and informed them of what happened. The response was tepid at best - the rep pretended to care but it was clear from her tone she really could not have cared less. I was offered me a set of sheets for my trouble which I polite declined. All in all- I was just glad the bed had arrived and miraculously made it to my bedroom in one piece. Hopefully it stays that way- time will tell. I’ll say this- the bed must really be well-made to have survived the 2 morons who delivered it. ... show more

  • BEST QUALITY AND EASE OF USE OUT THERE
Style: Adjustable Base Only Size: Queen
PROS: Helps my pain in lower body back and legs, especially using the zero gravity function. Works great when using an air mattress. I use the Air Pedic Air Mattress on this frame with no issues. Therw is fast set up time especially if you have a flat inexpensive small wooden dolly like the ones available from Home Depot to help easily roll the frame into your destination. Sleep Geekz who sold the unit has the best customer service! They always answered my questions on a timely matter. I use the head tilt function the most. This is a hard to find function on most adjustable bed frames The unit was dIelivered by courteous freight company. Attractive appearance unlike many frames for the home market that look like they belong in a hospital. Quality built, higher weight rating than most adj. Bed frames ( around 900 lbs). low motor noise Has more than one motor, hence will probably last longer, less wear and tear on frame and lifts. Heavy duty motors and frame add to the quality. Non intrusive easy to install adjustable legs that will be safer for not maring my wood floor. Had more functions than most adjustable beds. The remote is very intutive, very little learning curve. Good USB location and under bed led lights. Spent a lot of time researching before purchasing and this unit had the best quality and functions. I plan on buying another one for another famiky member. CONS: The remote doesn't stay backlit long, but that saves on battety usage. ... show more

  • Amazing frame and even better customer service
Style: Adjustable Base Only Size: King
We love the adjustable frame and the customer service is amazing! One of the foot motors hadn’t worked since we got the frame but we assumed it just wasn’t connected properly. It wasn’t worth taking everything apart so we ignored it until we moved 5 yrs later. When we took the bed apart we realized the motor was broken. I reached out to Sven & Son about getting a replacement fully expecting to pay for it. After all, it’s been 5 years since we bought it. Nope, they shipped us a new one the next day at no charge. We will be replacing another frame soon and, we will definitely be getting it from Sven & Son! ... show more

  • Well worth it.
Style: Adjustable Base Only Size: King
I’m really loving having this bed. We kept our king mattress on top and have the two separate bases underneath in case we change your mind. We can switch later to two twin XL mattresses. All you have to do is disconnect the telephone line between them and the remotes will work independently. We also use some AMEX points, which brought the price down a lot. The customer service was great. The delivery driver did not schedule ahead of time, but I got a text notification that it would be coming so it all worked out. It is very heavy and you will need at least two strong people to put it in place inside your bed frame Are fine and we accepted it in the bedroom, but we had to use our furniture mover to get it in here I like that I have the option to switch later. I had been doing my research for a while and had read numerous reviews about brands. This one consistently has good reviews and overall very good communication. ... show more
