Full disclosure, I bought this to retill a plot that was tilled about a month ago and has since overgrown with weed seedlings. Some parts were compacted by rain and a bit tougher. But this was easy to assemble and use. Uses both batteries at once and runs about 1 hr before loosing charge. Full recharge is about 4-5 hrs. This did a beautiful job. If you are tilling virgin ground, I can’t say this would be the best tool for a larger job the the first time through. But to revive a previously used plot, this is very good. Tends to bounce a bit on harder ground but will catch and do the job in a few seconds if you take your time. Easy to transport with simple knob style nuts and carriage bolts on either side of lower handle. I’m still going to use it for some smaller new garden and landscaping projects even though I know it will take a little longer to finish. i don’t doubt it will do just fine for the power it has and the size of the jobs. ... show more

based on price it is a fine unit, you will only be able to till the top 2-3 inchs of soil, I bought this months ago, just opened box to use as planting season just started, for assembly, there were no instructions, no nuts or bolts, thankfully it was not that complex to put together, I liked it was so light, it has difficulty turning on, I had to push the button 3-4 times each time for start, and since there was no manual have had to guess why, and keep trying Bottom line, as long as it starts I am happy with it, nice light weight, gets the job done, not very powerful. but for the price I am glad I got this. ... show more

    • Great cultivator!
I bought this on sale here (it was about $130) and was hesitant to even spend that much. but after going through some terrible gas powered cultivators, I thought I would give this a try. It works PERFECTLY for a weeder/cultivator in established gardens, which is what I wanted it for. You will NOT be able to use this for tilling solid ground. Don't waste your money if that is what you want. But if you want a supplementary machine to go between the rows and keep the soil loose and the weeds at bay, this is a good choice. Comes with two batteries, one charger. Fully charged I get 45 to 60 minutes of use, and it stays as fast and strong near the end, as it does newly charged. Charging the 2 batteries takes about two hours. It is lightweight enough you can physically pick it up and swing it over to the next row if you want. Vibration and handling are not problems, I had no problems putting it where I wanted to cultivate, and can even pull it backwards without stopping. Depth is adjustable, but even in loose soil at max setting it will only go down 3-4 inchs. Its very quiet as well. Overall, very happy. I have used it through 4 full charge cycles so far this garden season, I will revisit this review if it fails or problems arise. ... show more

First I recieved the tiller in perfect condition, and I got two 4AH batteries and two individual chargers. I saw comments about getting one charger and the 2AH batteries. The tiller worked flawlessly. The batteries outlasted my tilling. Plenty of juice. It also comes with a depth gauge that worked well and the wheel mechanism is easy to use to raise and lower the wheels. I am delighted. Great value for home gardener. ... show more

Update 4/4/22 pic one (battery type it came with ) Pic two (battery type in advert) they do not fit in tiller batteries no longer charge can’t find replacements I ended purchasing adapter for B&D batteries ( same voltage and amps as included batteries) and retro fitting them. Works great. Original batteries defective company changed out to new battery design that don’t fit original unit that really sucks for a lot people who purchased before the change out. see pictures First picture - is in advert with battery type you can order ( it doesnt fit ) Second picture - is what it came with and you cant find this battery anywhere ... show more

    • Makes gardening so much easier
I moved to a new place earlier this year and started a garden where there used to be grass. Took days to dig out all the grass roots and rocks and get the soil ready to plant. I was going to expand my garden and so looked into how I could save time and effort and found this tool. Wow! I went from spending multiple days in the sun with a shovel and hoe, sweating it out to cultivate the soil, to being able to get everything done in a little over an hour or two, for a comparably sized area. I'm glad I got the tool. It's also really useful in getting rocks out of the soil. It will bounce up and down off the rocks a bit, so you gotta hold on to the tool firmly. But it sure is easier than digging all of them out by hand. I tend to have to stop every 30 seconds or so to clear out the rocks it spits out while churning the ground, and once in a while a rock gets stuck in the blades and it stops. But I just pull it right out, start it up again, and get back to it. With gas prices the way it is, I'm glad I opted for this electric battery powered tool instead of a gas version. The tool is probably quieter this way too. I'd highly recommend this tool to anyone who has a decent sized in-ground garden. ... show more

Used this today and it worked nicely on the area that has already been worked, I’m expanding my garden and it will not till the hard ground 🤷🏼♀️ lesson learned
